Work went very well. Cleaned up so you never knew they were there. Have been dealing with Union Roofing for many, many years. Have done various things for me and prices were always a decent price. Would highly recommend to anyone.

They were very professional and worked closely with me. They were very clean and did a great job!

They were quick to respond and very helpful. I called them on a Saturday and they came out Monday to give an estimate. We settled on a date and they came out and did a great job. My husband had a concern, which they came out promptly to address. They were very nice, respectful and accommodating.

Union Roofing's representative Kevin Mitchell came out and gave me an estimate complete my roofing work based on what they were looking at at the time of the estimate. I agreed to the price and set up the work to completed within the next week. They arrived promptly at my home at 7:00AM on October 13, 2014, we signed the contract for the work and they began to start my job. During the work, there were other unforeseen items that did come up, but Kevin showed me pictures of the unforeseen items and gave me a reasonable price to complete them. I felt comfortable knowing that he took the extra effort to show me his concerns with these extra items instead of just completing the roof without informing me about the other issues. Once my job was completed they cleaned up after themselves and informed me they were leaving. I am completely satisfied with this company!

VERY POORLY AS DETAILED ABOVE. AFTER TAKING PICTURES AND THREATENING TO GO TO THE PROSECUTOR WITH FRAUD CHARGES HE CAME BACK AND DID THE REST OF THE ROOF. THERE WAS NO EXPLANATION AS TO OOPS WE DIDN'T NOTICE THE OTHER SIDE WHICH IS ATTACHED AND THEY WERE CLIMBING OVER EVEN SAYING AT ONE POINT THAT IT WAS MUCH WORSE THAN THE FRONT. THIS IS JUST AMAZING. I'VE HEARD OF DOING A LOUSY JOB BUT DOING HALF A ROOF AND SAYING IT WAS ALL DONE. THIS IS SCARY!

They were the worst professional people. They were the worst. They were very rude. They didn't do the job. They were condescending and sloppy. They left all of the debris on the back porch and even in my neighbor's back porch. It was absolutely the worst service I've ever encountered. Not only that they did not do the job correctly, they charged me $750. I could have paid somebody else $300 to come and fix what they didn't do. They went on the roof, knocked a little bit of leaf debris off the roof and never even touched the gutters. That was unprofessional. They were four men to get on the roof. When I had the job completed correctly, it was one man and he cleaned up the downspouts and it took him fifteen minutes.

They were AWESOME!! They were above an "A". They were pleasant easy going. I called them and they literally came out the same day. They offered me a discount to do both houses.

June 10, 2009 paid twice as much as I should have for what I was told was to be a "new roof" but turned out to be new tar job over existing decking. Paid $3,200 to tar a flat row house roof! Frank Jr. Gave me a document saying it was warranted 10 years. May, 20 12 Frank Jr. arrives at my door. He states he needs to "check the roof" since it's been three years since the roof was done. He drives his ladder truck behind the house. Then the tar guys shows up with their rig too. By this time I've located my file with the 10 year warranty. I open my back window and ask Frank Jr. "What's going on?" Oh he needed a longer ladder. I say, just so you understand me clearly, I don't plan on any money changing hands today. So you're not doin g a nything that costs me something, right? He gives me the disgusted head move, and says, "you better be nice to me or I'm going to leave, and then you'll be in trouble". I replied, "I have no obligation to be especially nice to you, because I have a piece of paper from you stating I have a ten year warranty, and I'm just telling you I'm not payin g a nything today for whatever you're doing, all right?" Well guess what, they all left. There was no talkin g a bout the checking. Just gone. Two hours later he called my cell. In order to "maintain the warranty" I am supposed to fork over $495.00 before June 10, 2012 to "re-coat the roof". The paper he gave me that said I have a "10 year Warranty" states nothin g a bout the necessity of paying money to them after only 3 years to do what they already did, that is re-coat the roof. That is basically all they did for $3,200.00 only 3 years ago, plus they replaced 16 feet of sheet metal flashing on the rear of the roof edge at that time. Just watch out for this guy. He apparently, by this activity, is not an honest roofer. If you find an honest roofer in Northeast, let me know!

They only did half the roof, but led me to believe they did the entire thing. It was on a four story building, so I never went up there to check. So, I paid them for a job that wasn't done. We still had leaks in the roof. It went through small claims court and everything. I checked the BBB and municipal court and they have so many complaints against them. They were very deceptive. I had another company come take pictures of the unfinished work.

Absolutely the worst. My roof leak has been on going since 2003. They keep coming up with different reasons as to why the 30 year guarantee doesn't apply and then ask for more money. I have spend close to $20000.00 on this and my roof still leaks. At this point I am walking away and accepting my loses. I'll try and find someone reputable that might be able to dix this problem

Awful and horrifically rude. Stay away. I called to request an estimate to replace my roof, I had left a voice mail. A man called me back and said "Hi, this is the roofer." I asked him where he was calling from and his name and he replied, "Oh Jesus Christ, how many people you calling?!" His tone was very rude and annoyed. I replied simply, "Are you from Union Roofing? " (since that was the last place I had called 2 minutes prior). He said, "Yeah, call me back when you have everything together and you're ready to get going on this." I said, " I do have everything together. We need a new roof, I just need to get a few estimates and several different opinions" He then says, "How many estimate you gettin'?" I replied, "Does that matter?" He then said " Click!" and hung up on me. I have never experienced such unprofessionalism before. What a horrendous way to handle a client. It is more than normal to receive several estimates when intending to have my entire roof ripped off and replaced. I do not have a roofing company that I typically work with, so it is necessary for me to collect information on different companies and make an informed choice on who would be best for the job. Not to mention that there are several different types of roofing materials that one could use for my roof, and each company could potentially recommend a different material. How could I possibly choose someone for the job before meeting and speaking to them? He clearly just wanted my big money business and wanted it to come easy. Horrible work ethic. I would stay far away from this company and this ignorant low life, possessing no personal or business skills.

The roof leaked in 2010 and it leaked again in 2011. He was a rotten roofer. He does have a very bad reputation. I didn't know Angie's List back then before I hired him. We had a terrible storm blowing on a Sunday afternoon and it picked up my skylight that was rusted already and moved it over and all the water came in my bathroom. That's why I needed a roofer in a hurry. He has been out here numerous times and keeps saying that it's not their fault. At first he says it is guaranteed for 20 years and then he says it is only 15 years. The last time he was here he said the roof needed a new coating, when he actually gave me a new roof that didn't need coating. He is awful. He replaced the roof and put a new skylight which I hate with a passion. Every time it rains you have to close the bathroom door because you can hear the sound of the rain. The rain doesn't seem to bother it. It's the snow I fear because that's when I get the leaks. Last year was bad and this year was worse. It went through the whole side wall. It was terrible. I stopped cleaning up the mess. We had to get all new rugs. The water came through and it ruined my dining room table. It came through to the dining room from the back bedroom. The whole back bedroom was a mess. My insurance did come over and investigate and they did give me $5000.00 for the repairs but that was a drop in the bucket compared to what I had to replace. Then I had to get the painters in. I am going to forfeit the guarantee and get somebody else in to examine the roof and hopefully fix the problem because Union Roofing is not going to do it.

They do excellent work and show up on time. They don't play around, they get the work done.

A friend had recommended them and I was kinda desperate at that point. He gave me an estimate of $4000 and I said I was going to get a roof inspector first and he then dropped the price down $3300 if I agreed to the terms right then. They proceeded to do the work. When the work was done I noticed that my wall had a crack in it and I never mentioned it to them because I felt embarrassed about complaining. Then other things started to happen. The tar started coming into the bathroom and got on the sink, the floor and the tub. When they were done I called and complained to them about it and they did not have anything to say about it because I had already cleaned it up. My roof antenna was working fine and the following day it did not work and they claimed they had never touched it. Their is a chain hanging from the skylight to open and close it and they cut the chain and attached more to it and now it is very dangerous. It is like a barbed wire. While the work was being done they banged on the roof very loudly and many times and I had never heard anything like it. It sounded like a sledge hammer. The guy who did the estimate was the owners son and he had a very threatening tone an talked very loud and they scared me.

An estimate was received from a licensed roofer who said that the roof was in good condition and only required a coating with aluminum fiber coating, repairs where needed to the rubber fabric, reseal of seams with 4" roofing fabric, clean & reseal existing outlet box and repair existing sky light (reset, reseal and repaint). The total cost of the work was only $650.00.

This is an outstanding roofing company. I have no complaints and would highly recommend them. They were very professional and did the work quickly.

When we had a roof leak they came out that night and made a great impression. The charge of 10,000 was given to use for a new roof. A second and third opinion revealed that we needed about 1000 worth of repair. These guys charged my credit card (which was refunded) even though we called and cancelled.

I had to get two opinions. I was told that the work was very sloppy, they dropped tar all down in my skylight. I was told by two other roofers that the job should have only cost between $2500-4000.00. That the total cost for the entire roof should be approximately $7500.00 I called him and told the owner and one of the supervisors that I was totally dissatified, that the work was sloppy and that I had my credit card company stop the payment. I advised him that I was not happy, that I felt that because I was a woman and a senior he grossly overcharged me and took advantage of me. I sent my niece over to my house the day of the work and a gentleman named Cal told me that the work was so extensive that they needed two crews. My niece went to the store, was only gone for 15 minutes and when she returned, they were gone. The capping was put on very sloppy instead of replacing the capping on the front of the roof, the just placed two pieces on top of the original piece and it looks horrible.

I was very pleased with the work. My roof was about 15 years old and I had contacted several roofers. These guys were the best of the best! I was very happy with the finished work.

UNION ROOFING'S REPRESENTATIVE CHRIS (FIRST NAME) DID NOT SHOW UP FOR PREARRANGED MEETING TO GIVE AN ESTIMATE FOR MY SKYLIGHT. I WAITED ONE HOUR & FIFTEEN MINUTES PAST THE AGREED TIME FOR HIM TO SHOW. THIS CAUSED ME TO BE LATE FOR AN UNRELATED BUSINESS MEETING I HAD SCHEDULED THAT AFTERNOON. I AM 60 YRS. OLD AND HAVE HAD MANY EXPERIENCES WITH CONTRACTORS AND I CAN TELL YOU THAT THIS TYPE OF NEGLECT ON UNION ROOFING'S PART IS NOT A GOOD SIGN. I WILL NOT CONSIDER THEM FOR ANY FUTURE WORK NOR WOULD I RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE!

THEY WERE PROMPT AND RESPONSIVE, BUT WORK WAS SHODDY. THEY PLACED THE NEW RUBBER ROOF RIGHT OVER TOP OLD LEAKING ONE. MY MAIN ISSUE, HOWEVER, IS WITH THEIR BAIT AND SWITCH TACTICS: I'VE USED THEM ON TWO OCCASIONS AND BOTH TIMES ONCE THEY ARE ON SITE AND DOING THE WORK THEY FOUND NEW PROBLEMS THAT NEED FIXING, FOR NEW MONEY, THAT WERE NEVER MENTIONED DURING THE ESTIMATES. THE FIRST TIME THIS HAPPENED, I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST AN HONEST OVERSIGHT AND WENT ALONG WITH IT. THE SECOND TIME, I PROTESTED AND DECLINED THE EXTRA WORK. THE FOREMAN WAS *REALLY* PUSHY ABOUT IT AND GOT SERIOUSLY ANGRY WENT I CONTINUED TO REFUSE, THEN PROCEEDED TO DO AN ALTOGETHER SLAPDASH JOB. IT STRIKES ME THAT THIS BAIT AND SWITCH IS LIKELY STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE FOR UNION, WHICH IS UNETHICAL IF NOT ILLEGAL. WILL NEVER GO WITH UNION AGAIN AFTER THAT EXPERIENCE.
