He was referred by a co-worker who I later found no longer does business with him. He was to redo my second floor bathroom and redo the basement because of water and broken pipe. I requested that he do one job first and then go the next one. He said that he has two sets of men working so they could do both at the same time. He thought it best that I put in a new heater in the basement and other items which I thought would be okay so that I would not have to come back to do another time. Upstairs he was to enlarge the bathroom as he redid it . He subcontracted the roof that was redone because of a leak and the new heater that I had put in. The heater has not worked correctly. I had to pay additional money to another company to get heat this winter. The roof that was rubberized was done so sloppily that there was leakage all down the front of the house area. The people came back to fix the problem and all they did was put some type of cover over the dripping which still shows under the new piece and this new piece now is so large that my roof does not drain correctly and of course the dripping still shows in the front of the house. The bathroom upstairs is not pitched correctly because the water stays in one side of the shower and I have to wipe the water out each day. Around the tub the caulking is sloppy and half on some areas and half off. The basin on the sink now rock as though it is coming loose. The floor in the bathroom feels like some of the tiles are getting loose. In the basement I have puddles of water in the middle of the floor. It does not come from either neighbor it looks like there was not enough cement placed on the floor. So now I have another problem in a basement that should be done. The basement ceilings was lowered by the contractor not at my request. I had to throw away good furniture because it would no longer fit in the basement Because the basement ceiling is so low many people have hit their heads and I am sure if I decide to change my furniture I will have a hard time. The job is still not complete. Mr John Palermo owner was suppose to put in a new window in one room and put a new air conditioner in the window . Many of these items were paid for separately and not part of the money for the bathroom and basement. It took this company from July to January of the following year to half way complete this job because the contractor took another job and would come to finish my work once a week or once every two weeks. He left the house completely dirty and ruined many items because of the dust and dirt that he did not clean up. There are so many issues with this contractor that I cannot begin to tell anyone. I have contacted the BBB and am looking for a response from them. In the meantime I have paid quite a bit of money and I am afraid that now I will have to get someone to do the job over because I do not want to have mold and other problems.
