Summerdale Mills Fabric and Home Decorating Center

How did it go? Working with Lucy at Summerdale Mills is always a good experience.

We had an ancient chair that needed reupholstering. Summerdale Mills had a wide selection of fabrics at different price points, and the salesperson was very knowledgeable in helping me pick a fabric. The price was a little higher than I was expecting, but the quality is top-notch. The reupholstered chair looks brand-new.

They did a very good job. Very efficient, understood the problem fixed it.

It went very well. The workmanship is beautiful and very, very well done. The fabric and the piping around the edges are a excellent quality. Three different prints were used and it looks great. When they were finished they delivered it to my house and set it up in the guest room. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

I had searched several stores in both Philadelphia and New York before making the trip to Summerdale Mills. I made a couple of trips to the store to select a desirable pattern and design for the windows. On both occasions, Sharon, spent lots of time with me. She was patient and really got the kind of look I was after. She definitely knew her stock and selected several fabrics and coordinating trims to consider. I was, however, a bit disappointed that the material took quite a long time to come in (approximately 2 months) which really delayed the making of the window treatments. The men that installed the window treatments were punctual, neat and focused. Overall, the store had a great selection, knowlegable and patient sales person and the finished product was to the specifications outlined. The only thing that I would do differently is insist on an itemized invoice. They did not seem too keen on giving details regarding the individual costs. I would go back and would recommend to others.

I went to the store to pick out the fabric. My husband and I looked around the store at the different fabrics and had trouble deciding what would look good, as we wanted a print on the front of the chair and a solid fabric on the back of the chair. The sales person that helped us had some great suggestions. With her help, we made our selection. The chair turned out much better than we expected and is just beautiful. We always get compliments on the chair from people who come into our home.
