S&T Art-A-Tectural

I Selected Steve Chapman of S&T Art-A-Tectural based on information from my 203K consultant Catherine Hall at Value Home Inspections. What a mistake it ended up being. S&T is an approved FHA contractor for the 203k loan program. S&T's bid was used as the submitting bid for my mortgage request and was an integral part of the package and approved funding for the loan. The 203k loan program requires the homeowner and selected contractor to begin work within 30 day after closing. At the third week after closing Steve Chapman from S&T sent me an email telling me he was terminating the agreement to do the renovation on my home. This left me scrambling to find a new FHA 203k contractor that would pick up and accept the budget that S&T had laid out as part of the mortgage agreement. Several weeks later and fortunately a very understanding bank ad i was finally able to find a qualified contractor to work within the constraints of the original agreement. Hindsight being 20/20 I would still call S&T for a quote and then use their number to play against a reputable contractor.
