Roy failed to do routine testing to check for leaks after installing the AC unit. Because of the inspection oversight the unit leaked all of it's frion in less than a year (mind you frion should typically last 20-30 yrs and is very costly at $600.00 a lb or more). I called Roy repeatedly and he didnot respond to me until I informed him I had another licensed HV/AC person inspect the unit and they informed me to track down Roy to replace the frion due to the improper install. He then came out nearly 3 weeks later after June 2007's heat wave and replaced the frion. Next he installed a water heater, the pilot repeatedly went out and Roy refused to come out and inspect the unit, he instead coached me over the phone on how to relight it. To this day the pilot repeatedly goes out at times but the unit is still functioning though I doubt it was properly installed. Lastly Roy installed a sump pump in our basement. He overcharged me at a whopping $425.00 to simply place a sump pump in a hole and run the line outside. As simple as the job sounds Roy ran the line directly under our padio room so the water pumped directly into the concrete foundation and wood flooring of our padio room causing recurrent flooding, mold and water damage to the wood and concrete base. Again this was all due to his laziness and oversight to doublecheck his work. Again I contacted him to come and fix the sump pump and not only did he repeatedly refuse to come out but he accused me of lying so that I could get my padio floor redone. I threatened to contact the BBB and sue Roy if he didnot come out to fix the sump pump which lead him to come and fix the unit. He never offered to replace the water damaged flooring he caused in our padio and less than a year later the sump pump failed again. I ended up doing extensive reading and re-installing it myself, I also had to purchase a new sump pump because the previous one overheated due to his improper install (again mind you sump pumps last nearly 10-15 yrs). DO NOT use this individual, he overcharges, does lousy installs, and refuses to repair the damage his incompetent work causes.
