Reiter Roofing

It went great! The estimate guy came out as scheduled, was warm and professional and honest about our needs and where we didn't need work. He wanted to get out and see all the parts of our roof - they are hard to get to, and he made sure to see everything. The estimate was less than the other two I had been given. The guys came out and did the work as planned, I hardly noticed them. They cleaned up well and hauled away the damaging material on our roof. They let me know what I would need to keep an eye on and showed me the work they had done that I could easily view. I was happy!

After using Reiter for a similar job for my mother's home and having a very positive experience, I readily went back to them for a similar job on my soon-to-be former home. The job was estimated within 2 days of my wife's call to Reiter. We gave the go ahead and the work was scheduled quickly. Since we no longer live in the home, we were not there for the job itself. I went a few days later and noticed that the side shingles had not been replaced nor had the loose shingles in the rear been reattached. My wife called Reiter and was assured that the roof had been done, she was told that the side shingles could not be matched so a different repair had been done. We were offered photos of the completed job to verify the completion. It took close to 6 weeks to get those pictures. Based on those pictures, the work has been completed, but the long delay and changes to the job without notification to us rasies questions. Doubt I'll use these guys again.

Contractor indicated I would have the estimate within 48 hours. Estimate never arrived. I placed two phone calls to the firm looking for the estimate. Calls were not returned nor was the estimate ever returned. Clearly the firm is not interested in my business.

We called the roofing company after our front porch started leaking. They came out and replaced the flashing along the roof. Since then we have not had any leaks. The price seemed fair and the job was done punctually.

I was considering buying this house and need an estimate for repairs due to inspection, however, they were willing to come out and geive me an estimate for the roof. However, the sale fell through 3 hours before settlement.

I called this company because of its rating on Angie's list. They were very responsive. Charlie came promptly the next day and did an inspection of the roof. Because our roof is under a deck, which needed to be removed before the roof could be reached, Charlie suggested that we get a handyman or carpenter to remove the deck boards, which we did. However, due to the extra costs of these services, we decided not to hire this service until later. I would definitely have this company in mind for our future roofing services.

Reiter Roofing was on time, extremely professional, efficient, and performed great work. The price was $425 for two men for about 45 minutes of work on a three story townhouse in Philadelphia. I did not shop around or receive other estimates. i highly recommend Reiter Roofing. Their responsiveness before work began was impressive, and their professionalism continued throughout the work. They were extremely careful, even removing their shoes when walking in my house. Best seen to date, and you will not be disappointed.

We initiated contact and an estimator came out immediately to look at the job and discuss necessary repair. Owner of the company was in contact with me throughout the repair process which included obtaining required permits from the City to complete the work.

I had a representative come out in October of 2012 and was very pleased with the response and professionalism. I was so pleased that I gave their number to my next door neighbor. Days went by before she received a response. When someone finally came out to do an estimate on my neighbor's roof, he took his time and said that he would have a written estimate shortly. Days went by with no results, they were contacted again and said someone would call back. After two weeks and a final call, my neighbor was told that someone would call her before the end of the day... no one did. In April, we, my neighbor and I, decided to try again because the ratings on Angie's List were so positive. I set an appointment and neither of us saw or heard anyone. I called to find out why no one came and was told that he did come out, but only looked at the porch roof, but would come back out the next day to look at both roofs, main and porch. The next day my neighbor watched as he took all of five minutes to inspect both of our roofs. He called on Friday and said that I needed a new roof, but it could be laid on top of what's up there (as apposed to the estimate 6 months earlier that said they needed to "clean existing roof surface free from debris" ), my neighbor's main roof is fine and looked like it had just been resurfaced ( even though she is the one with the leak and has been told she needs a new roof), my skylight didn't need to be replaced right now (6 months earlier it was necessary) and on top of everything... it would cost about $1,000 more than the original estimate. We were both given the estimate over the phone and nearly a week later, we still haven't received a written estimate.

Reiter roofing was prompt in sending out someone to make the initial estimate, submitting a quote and proposed work to be done, and actually completing the work. I personally examined the work after it was completed and it was performed satisfactorily. They were able to examine, diagnose, and fix the problem and provide preventative maintenance for my flat roof.

So far so good. We had no problems with leaking over the winter and the few spring storms we've had (which is why i waited to do this review).

They were great. They came out, gave a quote, and were reasonable so we chose them. Everything went smoothly with no problems.

They were a little slow in responding to messages, but it was due to illness and a high volume of workload. The final bill exactly matched the estimate that was given.

First the bad: it was difficult to schedule the date for the initial installation and, though they were always VERY responsible when I was able to speak with an actual person, I rarely had my calls returned after I left a message. Now the good (which FAR outweighs the bad): After the first install, I experienced continued leaking through the air conditioner's return. I called them and, no questions asked, they returned and recoated/sealed the area around the opening. Unfortunately, this persisted after the 2nd... and 3rd... and even 4th visits. I was beginning to be frustrated, so I went up with Chalie on the 5th visit with a bucket of water and poured water on the roof to see where it was entering. And, no leak resulted. We then examined the duct work itself and it was clear that THIS is where there was a break in the seal, not in the roof. However, even after this, with reps from Reiter returning five times after the initial install to fix a problem that was not theirs (and doing so without question, complaint, or finger-pointing), Chalie insisted that I call him them again if I'm unable to have it fixed to my satisfaction by the HVAC contractor. This is a company that stands behind its work and keeps coming back until the job is done right (even if, as it turns out, it was done right the first time).

He was timely and moved quickly in getting me an estimate.

I got three roofing companies to come and look at my roof and give me estimates. I have a 7 year old flat torched asphalt roof on a townhouse in Philadelphia and it was leaking badly at one corner near the drain box. The first company said I needed a new roof for $4500. Reiter Roofing came and thoroughly checked the roof and said I did not need a new roof. They said my roof should last 20 years but every five years needs to be re-sealed along the edges because the sealant hardens and flakes off (not the roofing itself). They came and re-sealed the whole roof. (While they were on the roof the workers were happy to help me adjust a TV antenna I had installed on the roof.) The total price was $875 and they guarantee the work and the price includes two re-visits to fix problems with the work. I had removed a section of sheet rock in the ceiling so I could check the leak and after the roof was re-sealed I still had the leak. They came back and this time found that my leak problem was due to a crack around the drain box. They sealed the crack and after two months of rain storms the leak is completely fixed. This return visit was included in the original price. I am very happy with the service I got from Reiter and will definitely use them again.

The weather made it difficult for them to schedule a time. It took about a month for them to do the work. It was all done in one day. The delay was not their fault. Everything looks fine.

It was excellent. He could not believe all of the things that were not done to my roof. He patched everything up and fixed all the things the other roofer did not.

They did a good job and they were on time. They were very friendly and cordial. They finished the job in a quick timeframe.

He showed up and completed the work in a timely manner.

Work was needed as I was getting ready for closing on the sale of the house in Center City. Reiter was very responsive and helped identify and repair source of leak coming from adjacent roof. Provided good documentation to satisfy buyer's requirements.
