Reiter Roofing

Being both in the construction business and property investment for nearly 30 years, I know how difficult it is to find competence, quality service, and good value when dealing with contractors, ESPECIALLY in the Philadephia city limits. No doubt that Reiter Roofing meets the grade. Charlie and Evan are highly qualified and timely, and the office personnel are very professional. Service: Completed a property build-out where the general contractor was an idiot who hired unqualified roofing subcontractor (Sept. 2011). Reiter stepped in, repaired / finished two flat rubber roofs properly, inspected and certified, at a very reasonable fee. Considering this was a repair / completion service for previously inadequate installation by "non-qualified" subcontractor, it is very difficult to find a contractor to pick up the ball and complete a project with diligence, fairness, and professionalism. Recent roof inspection for cleaning was timely, and as expected, very professional (August 2013). Highly recommend.

Evan came to my property to give me an estimate due to a roof leak issue. Of the 5 estimators that came to my house from other companies, he was the only one who noticed that an emergency tarp (that had been installed by my insurance company) was blocking the roof drain and exacerbating the leak. He removed this part of the tarp and it seriously reduced the leak issue I was having. He was very helpful in-person and over the phone in explaining everything to me and answering all of the questions that I had. The pricing I was given was fair and much more reasonable compared to other providers. Given their helpfulness and fair pricing, I scheduled them to re-roof my flat roof. They were very timely (here in a week's time), the workers were professional, and they were out after only a few hours.

Gutters are still doing well to this day. They were prompt, and did the job right

My experience with Reiter Roofing was great. I have yet to meet Charlie face to face, but he is GREAT!! He is very professional and nice. The people working in the office are great also. They arrived at my home as scheduled. I will use no other roofer and will definitely recommend them. Oh..i almost forgot. I am very pleased with the work that was done : )

Our roof was leaking in the kitchen when it would heavily rain. Reiter Roofing came out and told me I did not necessarily need a new roof right now I could get away with a patch job and if that did not work he was willing to come back out for free and try something else. Needless to say our roof has not leaked since the patch job even during the thunderstorm where we got 8 inches in one day(record breaking rain amount on 7/28/13). Reiter Roofing was professional and on time.

I was very, very pleased with the gentleman that came out. Evan was very honest! I was very impressed with his thoroughness in checking out the roof. He had a good manner about him. He was very professional! He is very nice! He even mentioned a certain product the painter should put on the ceiling before painting to keep it from bleeding through!

They said they'd send someone early the next weeks rom our call for an estimate. No one called or came. Then they called to schedule an estimate for the week after, two weeks or more after my initial call. Not professional at all. If you say something, mean it and stick to it.

I was very pleased with the work that they did. They were also very nice, very courteous and professional. They came out, answered all of our questions and were able to really go in depth into some of the questions that we had. This was really informative and they got it fixed.

They were on time, gave me an estimate that was so high even for an untrained guy like me, it was 18,000 dollars for a 3400 SF hip and valley type roof, I got two more estimates and ended up with a 10,000.00 dollars from a reputable company, I even tried to negotiate with them but they said they do not even come down one penny!!! I can not make a judgment on quality or service since they only gave me an estimate, but I will not recommend them due to their outrageously high prices.

This is the second time I have used Reiter Roofing. Both times I found them to be responsive, professional and knowledgeable. I recommend them and would use them again without hesitation.

Chalie McCafferty came out I showed him where the leak was he got right on it fixed the issue and didnt charge a lot and even addressed another issue that may have caused a problem in the future. He came earlier than i expected. I will definitely recommend Reiter Roofing for their fast and expert service.

It didn't work out. It ended up being more issue with the siding. The price is reasonable. I would refer them to family and friends.

Reiter Roofing came out to provide an estimate for roofing repairs. I was told I would have their estimate within a few days. It has been over a week, no estimate, no call to explain, nothing. Poor service.

I don't have all the specs so I can't go through the work in detail, but they installed a new rubber roof. I got several estimates, and they were actually the most expensive by a noticeable margin (thus the "B" on price). Originally I was looking for an estimate on repairing a defect in the porch roof that had been installed by another roofer who was no longer in business. After taking a look at the roof, Reiter recommended I get a new roof. After looking at it, they told me the defect was not really reparable, and I would be addressing it again soon if I only did a spot repair. Another roofer gave me an estimate to fix only the defect. Other roofers recommended replacing the roof. I let it go a bit longer because of cash flow. During my discussions with Reiter I spoke to a couple of different people, but when they gave me the original estimate, they stood out from the other roofers because the person who looked at my roof could explain clearly what needed to be done, how, and why. They also sent me an email with the description and estimate. It took me a bit of time to actually schedule the work, and by the time I was ready get it done, I thought it would be a good idea to have them look at the main roof as well. It was probably 10 or more years old. As expected, I needed a new roof there too. I decided to go for the whole thing. They took "after" pictures for me and mailed them to me. I'd requested "before" pictures, but Barry Reiter said they had been lost or something. "After" is most important though. They came to do the job while I was at work. Except that the grass in the backyard was obviously walked on (it was kind of high at the time), I wouldn't have known they had been there. Everything was cleaned up, nothing left behind. You know, I can't see my roof. Couldn't judge whether it was done well even if I could see it. But this company was communicative and, at least from my perspective, transparent. (They had to reschedule a couple of times because of rain, but they kept me in the loop.) And it may not matter to a lot of people, but they also sent me quotes and receipts by email. Their willingness and ability to use technology was helpful to me. That has not always been my experience. Also, their willingness to explain the problem and their solution in great detail went a long way toward my decision to choose them.

We found Reiter Roofing to be very dependable. They came out and completed our roof before we had a major storm. I would recommend them to others.

It was very satisfactory. They forman who was doing it was very knowledgable and satisfied with all the details.The job was done ontime and they left the jobsite clean.

It was a good experience. He came out and took a look at the property. I liked that he was honest about things whether I actually needed a new roof. He said I at least had another five years out of it and it was not a necessary thing right now which most people wouldn’t think so. His honesty stood apart.

Solved a problem I was having with a solar installation. Very good and prompt and reasonably priced work. After one year the problem seems to be fixed

They were very good. I used them before your recommendation and I knew their quality of work and everything. They were very responsive. They came out right away. The guy knew what he was talking about. Like I said, I worked with them before, so I felt very comfortable that they knew what they were doing and they do a good job.

They do very good work. He was the only person that was honest with us about our roof. Others said we needed all new slates on the top front of the house and he said we only needed it on the right side. They were prompt for their appointments and nice.

Reiter Roofing Inc promptly called me back, they sent someone who seemed to know what he was doing, and he looked at the two levels of roofing on the house. He said that one didn't need a complete do over and he did put a new roof on another part of the house. The price was good and they guaranteed to come back every year to inspect it. I've recommended Reiter Roofing Inc to friends.

Thing went extremely well. I received a call from Evan who provided the details of the estimate and work needed to be done. We scheduled the work for a couple weeks out. Sure enough a couple weeks I received a call asking if I was still ready to proceed with the work. I had some concern because I was traveling for work. I was assured not to work the work could proceed. I returned home and all work was completed successfully and the work area was swept clean.

For both the estimate visit and actual work, arrival was prompt. Work crew was active for duration of job. They were polite, professional and thorough in cleanup. They were mindful and respectful of my property as well as of my neighbors' as I live in a rowhouse.
