Reiter Roofing

We were very pleased with Reiter. They gave a couple of options of very reasonably cost solutions. It was a very friendly, low pressure process when they provided us with these quotes. Throughout this process and through completion of the project, the Reiter staff was friendly and excellent at communicating pricing, expectations and updates. I would definitely hire them again and recommend them to others.

I had no trouble contacting the company and speaking with a representative each time I called. The company performed its duties in a timely fashion & on schedule. I received 5 different estimates & Reiter Roofing's estimate was fair in comparison to the other estimates. During the project an employee accidently cut a electrical wire for exterior lighting & the repair was made at no extra cost to me. Overall a very positive experience. I plan on replacing the secondary roof within a few years & will call Reiter Roofing to perform the job.

Reiter Roofing did a fantastic Job! Pricing was very fair and the workmanship was excellent. They did the project quickly and now my leaky roof is dry, no more trash cans and buckets to catch the rain. The extra little details that were done and not even asked for made a good quality project great! The owner Barry is extremely knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with.

I called Reiter Roofing to come and fix a problem with my bay window roof that has been causing leaks for the past two years. The roofer came on time, and was extremely courteous and professional. His name was Chalie. He quickly inspected my bay window roof and figured out that the issue was caused by an opening between the top of the roof and a metal panel above it. He described what was needed to fix it: use cement and roofing fabric to re-attach the metal to the roof, and nail the metal back in, and finally caulk the holes created by the nails. Realizing that it was a simple job that I could do myself, Chalie advised me to give it a shot (instead of simply charging me a couple hundred dollars for an easy job), and described in detail what I needed to do. On top of that, he even went back to his truck, and gave me the materials needed to do the job (including caulk, roofing fabric, and nails)! Note that I had called for the actual repair, not just a free estimate, so I was really amazed by his selflessness! Of course, he also said that he would have been happy to help if necessary, and to call him if I needed anything. Now I have done the job myself (it was pretty easy indeed), and everything has been good with my roof so far, but I will definitely call him again if necessary!

The workmen who repaired my roof did an excellent job. Now when it rains not a drop can be found. What a relief to not have to worry every time it rains. The next time I need help with my roof Reiter Roofing is the only company I'll use. They know what they are doing and they care.

They were quick to respond & send someone out to look at the damage. But then they didn't call or send me an estimate. I waited a couple weeks and then contacted them asking if they planned to give me an estimate or not. It ended up being a simple misfiling of our paperwork, they thought I had already been contacted. They provided what I thought was a very reasonable quote but then as an apology for the paperwork mix-up they included an extra discount. I agreed and sent them my deposit, meanwhile they dropped off some color samples so I could choose the one I thought best matched the existing metal trim. Due to snowfall we had to wait about a month to perform the work but that was fine with me. They came out the morning on January 15, 2014 and had it all replaced by noon. They did a fantastic job & it looks great! I would definitely hire them again, as a matter of fact I have 2 other projects I will be talking with them about next week.

He indicated that I had to purchase the faucets and shower kit and the toilet bowl kit, and that he would pick it up and charge only for the labor to install the pieces. I have to see how much everything costs before scheduling an appointment to have the work done.

Everything went well. I have used this firm many times in thepast as I am a Realtor and have needed roofing work on various properties,. They are always responsive and work has always been completed as described. I recomend them often.

The estimate was like $1000. That's ridiculous for just one gutter. They were way too high. It was just one gutter and he was saying it would take two or three guys to put it out. He came out, looked at it and said it was going to take two or three guys about an hour and a half and it'll be $900. I said, "No. Thank you." It took two or three calls to get the guy to come out. We kept missing each other for some reason. He finally came. Overall, the experience was fine. The estimate was way too high. It was ridiculous. The guy who did it, did it for $300. He came when he said he would come and he was right on time.

My experience with Reiter Roofing was nice from the begining to the end -great communication! Charlie came out and on time. I explained to him the problems I was having wih the roof, every time we have a wet snow. He when up on the roof and studied the problems of what he thought was happening, and took pictures to show me . When he was done I had a better understanding of the problem, which made me more confident in their services. That night he emailed me the estimate and we agreed with a warranty/guarantee that is out standing, which I was happy to see. The work was done,and again they were on time. Now that winter is over,and the wet snow is gone, I will have to wait in order to see if the repairs fixed the problem... Until then, I am happy with the warranty/guarantee and the company that stands by their word.

The initial engagement went well and they came out to give an estimate. The company was very honest on what things I needed vs. what I did not need. Definitely noticed the difference from other companies. The day of install, they were there early and had everything wrapped up before I got home from work. The work looked good (from what I could see) and has held up well through this bad winter. There were only 2 things that really upset me with the company, which I am not sure if it would keep me from having them do more work. I guess we will see. - When I came home, there was a huge mess of old slate all over my lawn furniture, on the window sills, between the window / screen, on the porch, etc... Pretty much everywhere. I would expect a company to clean up the mess before leaving, but I guess there is minimal pride in how they leave the site. I think a note or call would have been nice to at least acknowledge it. - I sent my check promptly when receiving the bill and was sent notices / called stating my payment was late. So I gave my credit card number just in case and it ended up being the person with the check had been on vacation. I was a little upset about this, as I am very timely with my payments and here they are telling me I am late, treating me like I am some dead beat. Overall, not a bad experience minus the 2 things above. If those things do not bother you, hire them.

Ok until the pipe was backed up again a few months later, should have check more thouroughly

It went well overall. They came when they said they would come, did the work as promised, cleaned-up as promised. Did not hound me for the money up-front, as Lowe's did when I had called them for an estimate. When Lowe's told me the money had to be paid up-front, I dismissed them right off the bat. Reiter doesn't do that. Also, when you call Reiter office about anything, somebody calls you back same day, sometimes within a few minutes, as I recall. You won't get better than these folks.

Our experience was satisfactory. Not great but okay. They could have done the cleanup much better. I would probably not use them again.

It was not an urgent inspection, but they still came out in less than a week and did a thorough inspection of the roof. The company communicated very well and they came out at the beginning of their scheduled window.

Reiter's guys were very professional and polite. Reiter was easy to work with since this was damage caused by a tree falling on one roof and ice and wind damage to the other roof. They got the job done quickly. I would use them again.

The estimator came within a day or two of calling and we had an estimate a few days after that. We tried to get estimates from some other companies, but didn't get punctual responses, so I can't truly compare the price. Our home inspector gave us an approximate cost to replace the roof, and Reiter was within this price. Our roof had three layers of old cedar shingles, metal, and asphalt shingles as well as two old capped chimneys that needed to be removed. A crew of about 8 guys came and had the roof off in a morning and a new plywood subroof laid by afternoon. By the following morning they had finished the job. They were efficient and friendly. I would hire them again. The owner of the company even called my husband after hours to answer some questions he had as well as let us borrow a squirrel trap so we could avoid hiring an pest control company (that's a whole other review!).

Before I contacted this roofer I had major repairs by another roofer, yet my roof continued to leak in the same area. Since Reiter made the repairs, no other water has seeped in. I inspected my property after heavy rainfalls and it continues to remain dry. I am confident, the problem has been resolved. I recommend this roofer to others for quality work.
