R Chobert Painting & Paperhanging

Mr. Chobert came and gave us an estimate of around $3000. We told him that he could do it at slow season and that all the walls were being done in one color. The man who came with a crew of about six, was NOT the same person who gave the estimate and this man disregarded everything we had spoken about including the price, which was now $6000. He was arrogant, gave us no bill and demanded payment on the spot. They ruined my bathtub rinsing out their buckets and I am still find paint where I never expected to. Cleaning the other day, I found my ruined drape tucked so I'd never find it. I told them and they never responded.

Was scheduled to meet today for an estimate but contractor did not show up or call.

It was great, I would use them again, and I will use them again. It was a great experience.

Contacted provider's office on the morning of 11/17/2014. The receptionist was polite and said one of two people would be contacting me to schedule the complimentary estimate. Received a call within a couple hours from a gentleman who was able to come out the very same afternoon. He was punctual, very professional and courteous and it was clear he knew what to do to repair the drywall and do it well. He sent me the estimate via email within a couple hours after leaving my place. He also sent me via email suggestions on a flooring issue (unrelated to his services) just out of kind consideration. Budget is a big concern for us since we have to soon replace our flooring as well so we had to go with a less expensive provider. I would absolutely choose to work with this provider in the future without any hesitation. I am impressed with their courtesy, punctuality, and overall reliability and expect their work to reflect the same level of professionalism.

His name is John. They are excellent. They repaired some very difficult drywall seams. This condo is about thirty years old and they did some very tricky drywall repair. Their painting was excellent. I just cannot say enough good things about them. They were wonderful. They are expensive, but they are worth it.

The painters showed up promptly at 8:00 am and finished the job in 2 days. John understood how to get good paint coverage with a dark purple color. He did a very nice job. Then he offered to come back and rework a portion of the front as it wasn't to his high standards, though I thought it looked fine. I am impressed with his desire to do a top-notch job.

Choose another (cheaper) provider.

We deal with John Chobert and interacted with him and his brother. Everyone was professional and pleasant and stuck to the promised schedule. Indeed they finished earlier than I'd hoped. They performed some incidental carpentry work as well. I'm thoroughly happy with the result.

The actual mending and painting of the house was well executed. The painters were efficient and considerate . Getting there was difficult. There seemed to be some family dysfunction that we were caught in the middle of. The supervisor on the job believed the estimate , which was provide by another family member was too low . We heard him out and agreed to pay extra. He continued bellyaching about everything including our choice of paint, Benjamin Moore which is stated on their contracts. We caved on that as well just to get on with the process. Hopefully the paint used weathers well. .

They are excellent. They are very clean and quick. They did the job that we thought would take a few days but they done it in 1 1/2 days. It was really fast. They have good pricing. They are not cheap but you get what you paid for. They have really good service.

They came out and looked. They were the only one that came out.

John did a fantastic job on all of the work he did for our house. He was prompt in his correspondence, showed up for the estimate and the jobs on time, and was easy to work with. I thoroughly recommend his company, and look forward to having someone reliable that I can call upon should I need more work done in the future.

Painters were friendly cheerful and extremely professional. They did an excellent job of prepping, then helped me select two perfect colors. Across the top I have detailed wood work and they did an excellent job on that as well as the windows and frames. I'm really glad I got them for this job.

They were very good. Their timing price and professionalism is what I can recommend about them. They are also very clean and neat.

Chobert did very good work. They were easy to work with, efficient, clean, and professional. Will do business with them again. They painted a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom house for me after another painter did a poor job.

Long story short, he could've done the job and 6 months later, I would've been upset that it was not holding up, but he was up front and honest. I appreciate that and would use them in the future.

They started the project before we moved in to our two bedroom two bath apt.. True professionals I highly recommend this company. I asked Mike for recommendations for other contractors and they also turned out to be great. R. Chobert Decorating may be higher priced then others but you are paying for the best. No detail is overlooked. Not a drop of paint on the floors. The painters were punctual, courteous and professional. They are well known in the area for their excellent work. Several items the inspector missed Mike pointed out to me.

Michael Chobert returned my call promptly and scheduled an estimate the next day. He was informative and up-front with me when it came to detailing what work needed to be done and quoting a price. I was a little bit surprised by the high price at first, but ultimately it was worth it because they did an excellent job, were prompt and in and out very quickly and brought a large crew of painters to ensure that the job was done quickly and thoroughly. I also really appreciated the forthrightness of telling me the apartment needed to be completely repainted, because I thought maybe I could get away with just some touch-ups, but once I saw the finished product, I knew that the complete repainting had been the right way to go. They were willing to work with me on a lack of time-flexibility (I needed the apartment painted on a very specific day because of tenant turnover) and best of all, they honored a 10% off coupon that I discovered here on Angie's list after they had already began the work. I already had the money order for the original price ready for them, and they mailed me a check for the difference. These guys are professional, punctual, thorough and extremely knowledgeable about their craft and I strongly recommend them!

Did their usual great job. Very accomodating. If saw someting that needed painting even if not specified they just did it.

I called over the weekend; the job was quoted on Monday & painted on Tuesday. The 4 member crew was on time, professional, focused, and completed the job in a day. They had to create a scaffold for the ceiling & skylight area. It was an 8:30am to 5:30pm day with little to no breaks. The crew was very "clean" conscious so when they left, you never knew anyone was ever there. It was like the "paint fairies" came to do the job. The pictures & furniture were even returned to their original position. The foyer looks FABULOUS!!! The team was so great, I am having them come back to paint the 3 story spiral staircase!!

We've been living with scraped, stained, unevenly painted walls for years. We called Chobert and got a very reasonable estimate. Two days later the crew arrived on time, spackled, scraped, matched our color perfectly, cleaned up afterward, even replaced a couple of heavy art works in awkward places. They did a beautiful job.
