John and his team installed rubber roofs on my back deck and roof deck in 2014. Over the summer, I developed leaks that had nothing to do with the installation. John and his team came out 2xs to fix the issues, and despite the time it cost them, they never charged me due to the fact that I have a warranty on the roof (and again, the leaks had nothing to do with the work they did). I highly recommend them.

John Garrison and his team has been reliable and professional. They have completed the work they said they'd do and we are extremely satisfied with their services.

Phillips was a good choice for our roofing needs. They worked with me to find the best solution to address our roofing problem. They were very professional, courteous, and responsive to every email or phone call.

Installation was completed in about 2 hours. My roof is flat and only around 700 sf. We didn't experience any problems for about 11 months until we were hit with a heavy snow storm. They arrived the next day to diagnose the problem. At the time of this writing, they haven't fixed the roof yet but I expect them to do so in the next couple of days.

Horrible. They charge a lot of money and the water is still coming in my closet even though they came down around 3 or 4 times to fix it. They make appointments for 9 in the morning and show up at noon or 3pm in the afternoon or maybe not at all.

They were very flexible on the date as I wanted one of us to be home and that meant we could only do it on a Tuesday or Friday. We juggled and worked around the weather and they were able to come on the very next Friday and finished in less than a day. The roof is great and held water nicely through the storms of the past couple weeks. I really appreciated the speed they wanted to help and the flexibility to accommodate our work schedules. Excellent phone communication before, during and after.

Great. We emailed via Angie's List and received a response within an hour. Phillips Roofing was professional, on-time/kept their word and responsive in all areas. We would recommend and hire them again.

It did not work out very well at all. I hired them in Sept of 2015 and they just finished up last month. It was horrible, my house still isn't finished but I had to kick them off the job. Well, last month I kicked them off the job, even though my house isn't done. They were supposed to do foundation, walls, roof, supposed to finish the interior, the whole nine, every phase of the project they just screwed up. They didn't follow any of the permits, they didn't follow any of the plans. I had to threaten them with litigation just to get them to somewhat finish the shell. It's terrible. They put vinyl siding on my house with drywall screws. My trusses that they put on the house were either put in backwards or they were out of plane. We had to have an engineer come out and do a repair plan. They took a job they weren't qualified for. I would absolutely not use them again. They didn't do a very good job on anything. I would just tell everyone to avoid them. They could work on honesty. I noticed there were 8 different people.

They finished in reasonable time frame. Cleaned up all debree and removed it from the premises using their own brooms and bags.

It was a pleasure working with Phillips. This is a great family company. Every phone, email, and in-person interaction was just spot on. Professional, efficient, informative. The Phillips crew carry themselves the way you wish all crews would, respectful, clean and efficient. They always showed up on time, as planned. Walked me through all projected work and then reviewed finished work with me upon completion. Feeling great about our new roof and skylight, thanks for everything guys.

The rooftop deck is amazing. The project was far from easy since city permits, historic permits, and just navigating construction in the middle of Rittenhouse square needed to be dealt with. But the final outcome was incredible, they built a small landing balcony with spiral staircase that lead up to an amazing rooftop deck. I was happy with the professional nature of the workers, they were very efficient and courteous. The quality of the end product is something I am very happy with, it is better than I had envisioned. Could not be happier with the service and the final product, the roofdeck and Phillips home improvement were perfect.

It went great. We would have no reservations about using them again.

Phillips Home Improvement is very courteous and professional. They came out right away and answered all of my questions about my roof. The work was completed in a timely and professional manner and I could not be happier! Phillips Home Improvement was great to work with and I highly recommend this company. You will not be disappointed.

They were great, and showed up to fix the roof almost immediately. They communicated with both my tenant (who had the leaking roof) and me, and coordinated everything smoothly through their office. I have a number of properties, and Phillips Home Improvement is my go-roofer. They almost always get the leak right away, and if they need to come back they do it immediately. Professional and very responsive.

Beautifully ! The writing and the re-writing of the contract was a little challenging but overall that was me being very careful and clear this time. I have dealt with dozens of contractors over my professional life and have horror stories and good stories. Phillips was terrific ! Polite, professional, honest, friendly and most of all great craftsmanship. There were no arguments about price, schedule, craft or process. I would recommend them to anyone and in fact have them scheduled to do another job this week. I think I found a contractor team that I can honestly recommend. From permits to finish the job is done and exceptional.

Very well. I found the company to be always prompt with appointments, willing to brainstorm alternate solutions and their estimate fair. They were always prompt with replies and communicative when issues popped up.

He provided a fair cost estimate and handled the project in one day. Other contractors suggested unnecessary additional projects. John focused on the details which were truly necessary.

I've used Phillips in the past and will continue to do so. Great communications, appointments kept as promised and work completed right the first time.

Got an appointment quickly for a quote. Roofer was an hour late on day of quote. This was communicated at expected time of arrival. Friendly on arrival. Was able to have the work done in one day and soon after the quote was provided. I asked multiple times for the roofer to call me to describe what work was done, as it did not appear to match the quote. Was not able to get a hold of him or get a call back.

No problems installed in one day clean and efficient.

I initially called a week ago and set up an appointment to get an estimate on a roof repair job for Wednesday August 10 between 3-4 PM. I was greatly anticipating meeting Rob who I was told would be doing the estimate for my roof and thought if it went well I would consider hiring them to do other home improvement jobs around my house including a full kitchen and bath remodel. Too bad for Phillips Home Improvement LLC... the experience I had with Rob left me speechless and I WOULD NOT DREAM of EVER letting them do any work on my house! Let me explain. I was home all day that Wednesday and about 2:45 PM I thought I heard a knock on my door, but wasn't sure it was Rob as I was under the assumption I would be notified that he was on his way. Within a minute I opened my door and came out on my steps and looked around as nobody was there. I did notice a truck with ladders on top in front of my neighbor's property, but the man inside did not acknowledge me so I went back inside. At about 3:10 PM the woman who scheduled my appointment called to let me know Rob was at my property. I replied: Ok, I am home. He can knock. Ten more minutes went by until Rob finally POUNDED on my door at 3:20 PM. His look of disgust and his attitude were immediate turn offs. His first words were something like I've been here for 40 minutes in the rudest tone possible. I replied that I did open the door when he first knocked and nobody was there. Then he claimed he had already looked at my roof which was odd since the roof that needed work was in the rear of my house. When I informed him of this he grunted something like: Well, am I looking at that roof or what? To which I replied no because I did not like his attitude and would never feel comfortable working with him! He huffed and puffed and got back in his truck. I was left dumb-founded. I could not believe that this all really happened. Now I do realize that at times there are unforeseen events and mixed communications that can happen between a business and a customer and for that I will lend my part of an apology if I was in any way at fault, but regardless Rob was representing his company and miserably failed at the customer service aspect of it. He left me with such a bad impression that I immediately took to writing this review to let other Angie's List customers know that even if all goes well with your initial meeting with Rob there is the potential for this very unprofessional side to come out!

I was absolutely impressed with how professional yet compassionate this company was in fulfilling my roofing needs. From the moment I called for a consultation, the entire process was very easy. I am a single woman, therefore, when it comes to home repairs, I'm a bit out of my comfort zone. They were punctual as well as very educated on what roofing type would best suit my needs. Price was very competitive, as I had another company come prior to Phillip and give me an estimate. Obviously I ended up choosing Phillips, and I am very satisfied with my choice. They treated this project as if it were their own home! I absolutely will be calling them for all my home improvement needs.
