Did not follow the structural engineers drawing at all. Did not frame the 3-story building, and just did the bricks, even thought the drawing clearly shows the framing was needed. Now I have to hire a contractor to do the framing. The problem is, framing is supposed to be done first before the brick. Complete did not know hot do the job. The brick was lousy and amateur work. Still there is a lot of gap, and water leakage. I have used this contractor in the past in other and always seems to Nickle and Dime after the job. They ask additional money for job that should have been included. On this particular job, they pretty much botched the entire job. Very disappointed with the work performed. I who have no contractor experience can easily point out all of the embracing job this contractor performed. Left tons of garbage and debris from the demolition inside the property and refused to clean it.

A person came out to the house. Didn’t bring a ladder (so couldn’t inspect the roof). He said he’d be back in a day or two. Then never showed back up or call back to reschedule. Was a complete waste of my time and my roof is no closer to being repaired.

Fair price for the work. Both jobs went extremely well. Weather delayed the work one day but they were able to complete both jobs the next day. Both roofs look great. They removed all waste. Very professional and communicated well. Sent receipt the same day when payment was given. Waiting for photographs but I should have them shortly. I will use them for future jobs. Highly recommend them.

Asked for someone to come out to evaluate the condition of my flat roof. The date & time was confirmed; told them that I would not be on-site when they came out. Didn’t hear back from them after the scheduled appointment. Called repeatedly, no one responded to my messages via voicemail and via Angie’s List. Finally spoke to someone who said that someone might’ve evaluated my roof. A week later was told that someone had, but zero info was documented on what they saw. Today, weeks later, get a call stating I need a new roof, but the earliest they can come is 6 weeks. I asked if the guy documented the condition of my roof with photos. She says, “Yeah, probably”, but didn’t volunteer to confirm that & share ANY documentation with me.

John and his team were able to fit me into their busy schedule on a Saturday after a storm to make the repairs quickly. They repaired several areas around the roof that had gaps and also applied silver coat to the roof and small balcony.

The work they completed for us was excellent. They followed up with us a few times to make sure the problem was fixed. They patiently answered all of our questions. We would definitely hire them again!

Everything went great! They operate at the epitome of professionalism. This is a family run business. I was treated like I was a friend. In this day and age that goes a long way. Their price was not the lowest price but it was a fair price. They didn't try to hit me over the head because I was a woman. I will be referring this company to family and friends. Attached is a pic of the work in progress on the roof. The pic shows of the metal work which has been beautifully completed. They came on time and they were clean and did a clean job. In other words, they did get roof coating running down the side of my house or metal work - no sloppy work done here. I'm grateful for Angie's List. - Gina

John and the team at Phillip's have been a pleasure to work with. They have responded immediately to several of my jobs, the work was done in a very timely manner, and the quality has been great. I will be using them often for jobs at my South Philly home.

Awesome!!! They did a wonderful job, wouldn’t recommend anyone else.

It went very well. They were punctual, professional and cleaned up everything! The only disappointment was that they said that they did other smaller ( less expensive) home repairs. We had them look at some other jobs that and they said they would do that work and give us estimates and have not had the courtesy to respond to multiple attempts when I have asked them to come out and give us estimates for smaller jobs .

I hired Phillips last year (10/17) to replace a scupper box and they were responsive and professional. They provided before and after photos of the work while at my residence. I had water damage this year (8/18) and contacted them however, this time the professionalism and responsiveness was atrocious. The first time they came out to inspect they showed up 2 hours earlier then scheduled. Since it was not in the time they scheduled, I was not present which meant they could not see the damage inside my house. They claimed to have fixed the problem which was a clogged downspout however, I continued to get water in my house. I scheduled another appointment for which I had to wait a week and then they did not show for appointment. I was told they had me on the books for a later day. After scheduling another appointment and being very specific about what I needed: preventative measures on my main roof, taking photos of my roof and neighbors roof (since they were claiming it was the neighbors roof causing the damage to my property), clean two lower roofs and providing estimate for interior work they failed to follow through. They refused to provide photographs, cleaned one lower roof claiming to be unable to get to second lower roof and never provided estimate for interior work. I am also uncertain of the work they did do because again, no photographs as in the past. The worst part is their office person and mouthpiece, Marie. She has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. She is argumentative and refuses to put you in contact with the owner and/or individual that was at my property. After I questioned the 2 year warranty on the work they had done 10/17 as that possibly being the issue they quickly seemed to no longer want my business, which they will never get again.

It went great as always, John and Nelson came by at our agreed time and finished the work as quick and smoothly and possible. They were clear about what would work best, patient and pleasant as they always are. Thanks again for another great job ( i did a roof replacement with them last year and would also recommend them highly)

They came out did a great job in 3 hrs. I would definitely hire them again.

I will be calling them on Monday because I didn't see anyone put any new capping up, Other than that everything went well.

Removed two layers of plywood and +100 Yr old tongue and groove. Knocked it out in two days. Very professional.

They expertly identified the problem and fixed quickly and effectively.

It went very well from beginning to end. The quote process was very quick and thorough and they were very professional throughout the entire process. Once we decided to award the work to them they were very quick to schedule the repairs within the week. The job took only a few hours (smaller row home) which was awesome. They sent me pictures of the progress of the repairs as they completed the job, which was also helpful. Great people to hire --- i'd definitely hire them again! Also got an awesome, super long warranty to go with it!

All went very smoothly. I called the office and spoke with Marie, and a few days later John and his son were at the property. I've have hired them many times over the years, and found them to be responsive and professional, and pretty good at finding tough leaks. Highly recommended

They came out to do the estimate and summited a proposal within a 2 days. It was very reasonable. (Remember, It is very important to get at least two estimates). After they were done, I went up to have a look and found one small spot where the seam popped up. (Had to be after they left). They came out the next day to make it right. They did not ask for any money (not even a down payment) until the job was completed. I have more work around the house to be done, and since Phillips is home improvement company, I will definitely be calling back for more estimates. db

They said they will install a rod on top of the roof which in fact they didn't put anything up there, they added an additional 6 inches spout and after 3 months it fell off, and they have to come back out to fix and put a screw on it to hold it in place. I not completely satisfied with the work, and they put a lot of prints on my ceiling, and i had to have a painter to repaint the ceiling because it was full of finger prints. I would not use them again. They didn't even clean up after their work was done.

Went well, Mr. Garrison and his group showed up on time and the work was completed quickly.

Rob and his team showed up on time every day, did great work, were very punctual and worked with me to get the design that I wanted.

I am more than pleased with the work of this company. Everyone was professional, pleasant and communicated well. They were also very responsive. The work was around 3,500 and I feel I got a great value.
