These guys were punctual and worked quickly and cleanly. The work looks great and we will have no problem using them again if needed. Only issue was the workmen bringing the wrong color tile. It worked out in the end but it was not the color we originally chose.

They are very good and I feel as if they are a company that will work with you and do not try to push work that does not need to be done. They will tell you exactly what's going on and what needs to be done. They give options and are not pushy about doing the work. He works with his costumers as far as payments and services performed.

They are very courteous, thorough and extremely nice. Did a really good job and is a straight shooter.

THEY ESTIMATED THAT THE WORK WOULD TAKE A DAY. IN ACTUALITY IT WAS LESS.

John came out to give us an estimate. He told us we didn't really need a roof at this time. He would do a coating. We were impressed by his honesty & told him to go ahead with a new roof & skylight. John was so courteous & professional. Everything was done in a timely fashion and our property was spotless when it was finished. I will certainly recommend John to anyone.

They were okay, but could have improved on the way they treat the customer. Once they explain what they are going to do they should give more details instead of waiting until the job is done. When they go over the scope of the work they should explain exactly what I am getting. We ran into problems because of this. I hope the next time I use them we have a little more understanding.

They did the work when I was not here, so I would not be able to give a lot of feedback, but they did really nice stuff from what I can tell.

The price above reflects two services that John provided on my roof. The first visit was from shingles that had torn off my roof during Hurricane Sandy. John was one of the first people to come out to take a look at my roof after Hurricane Sandy, and was even nice enough to nail down tarp before agreeing on any services. He took care of the shingles, and even helped sure up another roof problem in my garage for a total of $350. The second visit was for shingles tearing off from another recent wind storm. I called John again, and he was there the following day as promised and fixed the problem on the spot. This charge was for $125. He also gave me an honest opinion on the condition of my roof, which I know will need to be replaced. Although, I think the charges are a little high for the few shingle tabs that needed to be replaced, John's services and punctuality were was well worth it when other roofers on Angie's List didn't even bother. His quote on a roof replacement was also very reasonable. I would recommend Phillips Roofing, and also call upon his services again.

Our rooftop door started leaking during Hurricane Sandy. We called during the storm, and they called back immediately, and scheduled to come the next day. When he arrived and looked at our roof, and you could really tell he was an expert. He knew exactly what to do, which was to create a cricket on the roof, pitching the water away from our roof top door, plus to add weather stripping and seal the roof with a silver coat. He sent an estimate the next day, and started work the next week. They guaranteed that if the door started leaking, they would come back and fix it, and they have called twice (once after a rain) to see if we'd had any problems. We are extremely happy with their service, and will certainly use them again if needed.

These guys were the first to come out and give an estimate and while I thought the price was high for the amount of work, they turned out to be reasonable compared to the other quotes. They checked back once or twice and I explained I wanted two more estimates to confirm price before I picked a contractor so I did like the follow-up. Once I called to schedule, Marie said the guys could be out there in the next day or two and they were. I advised I had to post-date a check due to a money transfer delay and they had no problem with that at all which was surprisingly nice. I also asked to have a copy of their insurance faxed to me for my files and that was done immediately (a lesson learned from previous contractor!) Came home and the job was done -- as listed in the estimate and great quality. The only complain which I let Marie know about was pieces of snipped flashing all over the back patio and still on the roof which will blow down in the wind -- and with a 2-year-old around, that's quite dangerous.

I was searching for a reasonable and qualified roofer for quite some time. I had many contractors work on my roofs, and the leaks would continue, and no one seemed to know what the problem was and how to properly fix it. The staff was very professional and came out right away to diagnosis the problem, and began work right away. Overall the experience was good and I am truly pleased with the warranty for the roofs. The contractor ensured me that if any leaks occur, to give them a call, and they would be out to fix the problem.

We called many roofing companies before finding Phillips Roofing because, as it turns out, not all roofers deal with fiberglass decks. We had a roof deck made with a fiberglass material which was leaking into the room below it. John worked around my schedule to set up a viewing, since I can not get home from work until after five. I called on a Saturday and John came out to Look at the deck the following Tuesday, and let me know what my options were. He was very polite and respectful (not patronizing like some contractors) and thoroughly answered any questions I had. He emailed me the quote the next day (4th of July). The price was good and very comparable to what we thought the prices would be for fixing the roof deck (roughly a 10x14 sized deck on a second floor row home). Although we did chose a different company, our decision was based on taking a different route to fixing our roof (replaced fiberglass with a rubber roof under a floating wooden deck). I can guarantee that we will still keep Philips in mind if there are any roofing needs we will require down the road. Pros: 1. Professional, Respectful, informative. 2. Showed up when they said they would. 3. Price was a good for what would have been essentially resurfacing the deck. 4. Very prompt: each time I emailed John a question, he replied by the next day. Even though we went with another company, I would still say, Philips Roofing Looks like a good company to hire. I know it?s not much but you can tell a lot about a group by how they treat you from the start.

PHILLIPS BEGAN TEARING OFF THE OLD ROOF WHEN THEY DISCOVERED THE SEVERE STRUCTURAL DAMAGE. THEY ALERTED ME AND GAVE ME A DECENT PRICE. THEY BEGAN THE JOB RIGHT AWAY AND FINISHED THE MASSIVE UNDERTAKING IN ABOUT A WEEK. THE DISCUSSED EVERY OBSTACLE INCURRED AND CURED THEM. IT WAS A FABULOUS JOB ACCORDING TO THE NEIGHBORS. THEY CLEANED UP SO WELL, AND THE ONLY WAY TO KNOW THAT THEY WERE EVEN THERE, WAS THE ATTRACTIVENESS OF THE HOUSE ITSELF FROM WHAT IT HAD BEEN. THEY MADE WHAT HAD BECOME A NEIGHBORHOOD EYESORE INTO A HOME OF WHICH TO BE PROUD. THE NEIGHBORS RAVED AND SAID THEY HAD WATCHED WITH INTEREST AND ALSO SAID THAT THE WORKERS WERE DILIGENT AND PROFESSIONAL.

I called Phillip's on April 27,2011. They came out and gave me a free estimate on April 29. On May 2,2011 they came out at 8:00am and started the work on my roof. The next day they came to finish the job. They cleaned up after themselves and took all the garbage with them. They were very friendly. This was the first time I dealt with professionals that made me feel comfortable and came when they were supposed to.

My experience with them was good. They showed up and performed the work and they did a good job. I would recommend them to other people and use them again.
