Went well work performed.

They were professional and did the job right, but the price was really bad considering what they had done. Unfortunately, I was desperate at the time and needed it done yesterday. I won t be using them again.

He wanted me to observe him while he worked. He explained what he was doing. He told me that the system was designed for a house twice the size of mine. The people that installed it did not do the intake duct work right; and he explained what was wrong with it and what modifications were needed to correct it. He told me what was needed to improve the efficiency of the system. He was very professional, polite, and informed. I was very satisfied with him; and with what he did.

Placed a call requesting an estimate and visit to my job site. Never got a call back.

Mike knows his HVAC stuff better than any contractor I have met. He spent a few hours going through the house to gather information for the estimate. We were told it would take about two to three days to do all of the work. They had to make trips to our house on five different days to complete everything. The workers were very professional and kept things clean. The system works fine now. Mike was able to figure out that some duct behind a brick wall had separated which is why our office was not getting any heat. They fixed this and now our house is warm all over. We will be doing some renovations in the spring and that new duct will have to be moved. Mike didn't bill us for that repair because it is a temporary fix. They did bill my credit card for the entire amount of the project before they were completed. Mike and I talked about it and he said that was an error and that the office should not have done that. They finished the work before a credit could be issued so I let it go.

I selected Philadelphia G&E after careful consideration. Not cheap, but I have come to associate attractive prices ("cheap") with poor service in Philadelphia, and I won't make the mistake again. And for that matter, the PG&E estimates were actually lower than some other high-end estimates. Anyway, I would hire PG&E again without hesitation and recommend them to anyone looking for high quality work done thoroughly and carefully. Mike Toran spent an hour on site for the estimate and several subsequent hours on the telephone with me explaining his proposal in great detail--all before we signed a contract. I was, in fact, impressed with several other high-end estimates from local HVAC companies but chose PG&E because Mike was forthcoming about costs, mark-up, procedure, etc.; because he wasn't pushy; and because he attended to my concerns and questions without ever being dismissive. Installation crew were courteous and professional, and the system works beautifully.

The manager Mike spent three hours going through the house. Determining exactly what duct work was needed. The crew arrived on time and completed the work on time. The system works beautifully. According to neighbors, the home's previous two owners over a ten year period always complained that they could never get the house warm and that heating bills were killing them. This confirms for me that Mike was not selling a bill of goods. His system is superb.

One of my best experiences with a contractor EVER. I dealt with Mike Toran, and he was extremely responsive. I called to get an estimate, and he was there the next day (a Friday) and the estimate was in my hands on Monday. We scheduled the work, and the workers showed up! They were neat and courteous. As can be expected with such major work in an old house, a few things (like two stair treads) got damaged along the way, and a solution was instantly offered. In addition to that, after the work was done and had been paid in full, I noticed three separate issues on three separate occasions. Each time, a worker was quickly (within 48 hours) dispatched to my house to resolve the issue;no hassle at all! Oh, and when you call, I think you get an answering service, but Mike always called me back that day,if not within 1-2 hours! It was expensive, but it was a pleasure to work with such responsive, professional people.

We started out with them trying to clean and repair our current central air but we opted to have a ductless united installed (this required no duct work, just a blower mounted on the wall, kind of like in hotel rooms.) Once work started they anticipated being done early, totaling about 4 days of work. They had a crane lift the a/c unit onto the roof and wired it all up. First they could not get it to work at all for various reasons (leaks, moisture, others.) They used a very new technology that they were not adequately trained to install or at least they could not get it to work after months of trying. They replaced the piping, craned up a whole new a/c unit, called Hitachi (manufacturer) tech support, etc. We started the project in early April and it did not get finished until the middle of July. Even though it probably was not their fault we were constantly calling them, always getting excuses for why it didn't work. Mike (main guy) was very friendly but the job took way too long.

We had a very old central air unit that needed to be replaced, which they did three years ago. The second year the unit froze up and they came and fixed it for no charge. They do our heating and cooling maintenance every year and always show up when they say they will.

In the end, it was good. But the technician had to come back twice to resolve the problem, so it was a bit more time-consuming than I would prefer. Having said that, he ultimately did fix the problem and was very thorough in explaining why the unit leaked. He also gave me a detailed proposal for replacing both my AC and heating systems (since they are near the end of their expected lives), without pressuring me at all to make an expensive investment.

Wow, Mike, one of the owners was a G-dsend!! Our 1988 unit was working but making such a loud, horrible noise that we could not run it. We e-mailed them on a Sunday (based on Angie's List) and they called early Monday morning and were out that day! Mike did not have the part(s) he needed on him, but went and found it and came back. He worked for at least two hours in 90 degree temp to fix our A/C. We were so impressed how hard he worked that we decided to buy a new central unit from them instead of waiting for it to die altogether next year! They installed the new Bryant unit about two weeks after having old unit fixed. They did a great job. Maybe not the cheapest around but the service was fantastic!

They came extremely promptly, same day we called. Work seemed to be done well and professionally. A bit lax on cleaning up after they were done.

An experience not unlike the many others I've had with contractors.

THEY DID A GREAT JOB. I JUST FELT IT WAS A BIT EXPENSIVE. IT WAS A VERY BUSY TIME, AS IT WAS A SUPER COLD DAY IN DECEMBER.

THEY WERE ABLE TO COME OUT TO GIVE ME AN ESTIMATE SOON AFTER I CONTACTED THEM. TOOK A LITTLE LONGER THAN I EXPECTED TO SCHEDULE THE WORK, BUT ONCE WE DECIDED ON A DAY THEY CAME OUT ON TIME AND DID GREAT WORK. THEY CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES AND MY A/C IS WORKING VERY WELL! OVERALL A VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE, ALL OF THE STAFF WERE VERY HELPFUL.

MIKE AT PHILADELPHIA GAS/ELECTRIC DESERVES RECOGNITION AS A TOP SERVICEMAN! I CALLED AT 9PM ON THURS. IN THE MIDDLE OF A HEAT WAVE AND LEFT A MESSAGE W/ ANSWERING SERVICE. MIKE CALLED BACK IMMEDIATELY AND PROMISED TO COME OUT THE NEXT DAY. HE SHOWED UP, FIGURED OUT THE PROBLEM, GOT THE PART AND FIXED THE COMPRESSOR. MIKE DID A FANTASTIC JOB, EXPLAINED EVERYTHING INTELLIGENTLY AND OFFERED COST-EFFICIENCY TIPS ON MY HEATING/AC SYSTEM. I CANNOT PRAISE HIS WORK ENOUGH.

NOT IMPRESSIVE. THE QUALITY OF THE WORK ON A TECHNICAL LEVEL WAS OUTSTANDING. HOWEVER, THE WORK WAS PRICEY, THE TECHNICIAN WAS GRUFF, AND I WASN'T ABLE TO GET A RESPONSE FROM A REPAIRMAN UNTIL THE FOURTH CALL TO THE COMPANY. IF TECHNICAL SKILL WAS ALL THAT MATTERED IN THIS WORLD I'D HAVE NO PROBLEM RECOMMENDING THEM. BUT I PAID TOO MUCH TO BE TREATED THAT WAY. B-/C+

I COULDN'T HAVE BEEN HAPPIER WITH THE SERVICE. THEY RESPONDED TO MY CALL IMMEDIATELY AND SENT SOMEONE THAT VERY MORNING TO CHECK ON THE ISSUE. THE FACT THAT THEY DIDN'T TRY TO PUSH A NEW UNIT ON ME AT A COST OF $4500, BUT LISTENED TO THE SPECIFICS OF MY SITUATION AND RECOMMENDED A NEW MOTOR INSTEAD, AT SIGNIFICANTLY LESS COST, SAYS A LOT. THEY THEN SENT SOMEONE THAT VERY DAY WHO WORKED FROM 4:30 UNTIL 7:30 AT NIGHT TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING WAS WORKING AND THAT I WOULD HAVE AIR CONDITIONING. VERY REASONABLY PRICED WITH EXTREMELY GOOD SERVICE.

MIKE TORAN AND HIS CREW PERFORMED THEIR TASK WITH A GREAT DEAL OF CRAFTMANSHIP. THEY WERE ON TIME, VERY POLITE AND CLEANED THE AREA AFTER THEY DONE THE JOB. THE PRICE WAS REASONABLE. WE WERE VERY PLEASED WITH THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE.

THE GUY WAS ON TIME, POLITE, AND THE PRICE WAS REASONABLE. THE COMPANY CAN MAKE APPOINTMENTS OUTSIDE OF BUSINESS HOURS IF NEED BE.

THEY HAD TO EMPTY THE TANK,CUT IT IN PIECES AND REMOVE IT THROUGH A SMALL WINDOW. THE JOB WAS DIFFICULT AND DIRTY. THEY WORKERS WERE EFFICIENT,CLEAN AND POLITE. IT TOOK A WEEK TO DO AND THEY CLEANED UP EVERY NIGHT. ALSO A NEW THERMOSTAT WAS INSTALLED. VERY IMPRESSED. THIS JOB WAS DIFFICULT AND TIME CONSUMING. I EXPECTED IT TO COST BETWEEN 8-10 THOUSAND DOLLARS. I RECOMMEND THEM HIGHLY.
