plumbing
+ -1 moregood plumbers, polite and punctual. but not good for making what they did look good. i will be taking pictures to show what i mean i really hate to be so negative, but this is costing me money i can't really afford, and now i have to try to get the mess they did redone.
Description of Work: personal plumbing workers are good plumbers, but not good doing anything that has to do with decorating. they replace my bath tub, but the surround they put up is horrible. the caulking is terrible. i will have to eventually. someone else to come in and redo the surround. the worker that did the work tried but he just couldn't get it measure right. they were punctual, clean up, polite but they are not good at making the bathroom look professional. i feel as if i spent $3,000.00 for nothing. i'm on disability so this is so h****** me.

+ 0 moreCalled Ronald the previous day and played a little phone tag. When we spoke, he asked when I wanted to have the drain cleaned and I mentioned I would be home after 3:30pm -- so he said they would arrive between 3:30 and 5:30. I did inquire about the cost to clean a drain and he said he didn't have the rate sheet which I found annoying because that is something I needed to know upfront -- and the issue I anticipated did happen: They were charging me $220 when I paid someone else $185 previously. Anyway, Ronald called at 5:15pm to tell me they were on the way and they showed up at 5:30pm. The guys were absolutely professional and nice which made up for the fact that I waited 2 hours. I explained the situation, showed them the symptoms and asked about rates: $220 to clean the drain or $275 to clean it and treat (a monthly treatment to pour into the drain) -- both with a 6-month warranty. So, while I paid more the 6-month warranty was worth the additional money. Drain was cleaned and they showed me the water flowing without obstruction... very happy with the guys!

Description of Work: I called Personal Plumbing and spoke to the owner, Roland DeLaine. He came out within an hour on the worst day of Tropical Storm Irene. My outside drain was clogged. I had hired another drain cleaner who had tried to clear it the day before and was unable to do it. Not only that, he (the first guy) said I needed to dig up my whole yard and spend lots of $$ to replace pipe that was strangled by roots. Roland spent about 2 hours in the rain and cleared the drain. He extracted lots of tree roots and worked in the front and back of the house. He clearly enjoys going out of his way for customers. He is very psersonable and hard working - plus, he totally knows what he's doing. AND he guaranteed his work for 6 months. He said he hates to recommend that people dig up their yards and replace pipe when it is almost always possible for him to clean out a drain. I highly recommend him and would use him for any plumbing problem in the future.
