Description of Work: Came out said he would order part for my Frigidaire Dishwasher and said it would take 3-5 days for the part to come in. They were PAID!!!!! They NEVER CAME BACK!!!! They do not answer their phones and I logged a complaint with Frigidaire and they cannot get a hold of them. I filed a criminal complaint for theft of services.

 + -1 moreUNRELIABLE, UNDEPENDABLE, LATE FOR APPOINTMENTS are ways to describe Penn Appliance Service, Inc. I telephoned the owner of this company to repair my clothes dryer. The owner, who was two hours late for the appointment, informed me that the dryer needed a thermometer which he had to order. I was told that the part would arrive and be installed on the dryer the following week. The owner never returned to install the part. I telephoned another technician who informed me that the dryer contained burned out wires that caused the dryer to be a potential fire hazard. The owner repaired a problem within the dryer a few weeks earlier and collected $130 for the repair but never informed me of the potential fire hazard within the dryer.
Description of Work: The owner examined the problem and determined that a thermometer was needed.

 + -1 moreGreat! The company's owner, Ilya, immediately figured out the problem - a bad valve on a pipe feeding the refrigerator that was located in the cellar. I had never noticed this pipe before. A plumber was needed to replace the valve on the pipe in my 100-year-old house, but the fridge works perfectly now. This was the missing link in the problem - it took brains and understanding of the appliance and my plumbing to get to the root of the problem. I have found this to be the most important factor in appliance repair services! GE has sent out some less than ideal repair services under my contract, but this company is one I would trust to fix other appliances - which they do - all of them ranges, dishwashers etc. I will definitely call them on my own in the future.
Description of Work: My GE Refrigerator had stopped producing ice and filtered water. I had a service contract on it and GE sent Penn Appliance Service to my home in Chestnut Hill PA to address the problem.

Description of Work: Under Frigidaire warranty, they replaced the washing machine door latch. They also cleaned the internals of the machine, which was above the call of duty. Courteous, professional, fast, and they actually called and showed up on the day before they had promised.

Description of Work: Although Penn Appliance got the job done and my refrigerator is currently working, the overall experience with the service was not too pleasant. I do not know if it was Penn Appliance specifically or the warranty company that is at fault for my unpleasant experience.
