Paul's Cement Work

Paul's Cement Work...Paul and all his sons did a great job. They demolished a block wall and resurfaced the back yard. I also had a riot of uneven sidewalk sections that they resurfaced and evened out so there is no more tripping hazard. A reasonable quote and Paul had time to start immediately so I jumped on it. I wish everybody was this easy to work with!

I am very thankful to Paul's cement works. I got his name from my neighbor who had a lot of her side walk replaced (corner property) by Paul. He came out to replace my side walk at the exact date and time that he said he would. The job complicated because much of the original sidewalk was uneven, and he also had to curve the sidewalk around a very large tree. He did an excellent job of both; completing the job in one day, and leaving the area neat and tidy after he was finished. It is evident that this 3rd generation family-owned business takes great pride in their work!

Paul and his team were very professional, communicated quickly, and the finished product looks great.

No surprises. The work looks great. The cost is as quoted. The job was completed in a timely manner. I would definitely hire these guys again.

Work was never done because this firm did not call me. How unprofessional!

Paul and his team did a great job on our South Philly basement... knocking loose material off crumbling walls, then filling and parging with a brushed finish and a coat of drylok to seal. Very competitive price, and very responsive... they worked clean and were very thorough getting into the joist bays, and hard-to-reach areas behind appliances and pipes, and they finished all the details nicely. Very impressed.

Everything went well. Paul was helpful and friendly. The new sidewalk looks great.

It went fabulously! They completed the work in two days. There were five men all highly competent and very focused. They were meticulous and very cleanly and skilled. The work was excellent.

The three guys who did the work were awesome. They worked in 98 degree temperatures to deliver a first-class job. They were very thorough, efficient and polite. The owner of Paul’s Cement was a real jerk. Due to a misunderstanding over the scope of the project, he stormed off in a huff refusing to even discuss the issue despite my offer to negotiate a higher fee.

The men came out one day and broke up the steps and they came back the next morning and repaired both step and Landing along with removing all debris they did Fabulous work

Wouldn’t give me price because he said I needed the old sidewalk and steps out of the way before he can give pricing.... I’ve never heard this in my life.... how does this company even get jobs if everything needs to be cleared out for them...

Paul was so nice and very easy to work with. I had some spots along the side of my house that needed patching. He was able to give me a discount because of a job he had a couple streets over from me. He was also able to do a little extra (scraped some bubbling paint and skimmed that, too) just because they were already there and he said it wouldn't take too much. Looks good and no concern about water getting in and doing further damage.

My neighbor saw Dave, who worked with Paul, do another job several houses down from ours about a month ago.. At the time we both gave our numbers and waited to be contacted. Paul came to my home this Thursday to look at the job and give an estimate. There were six inch deep crevices in my patio and step. Paul explained what he was doing and why the crevices happened. Paul is very detailed oriented and was very meticulous in his work and takes great pains to do the job right. Although I think the price was a bit too high, after seeing what was involved and how well the job was done, I feel I did the right thing in hiring Paul's Cement.

They were great! I left a message describing the work needed, and Paul came by to check out my sidewalk and provided me with a quote. A month later when I hired them they honored the original quote AND came by the next day to start. They were able to do all the work over 2 days while I was at work (would have been finished in 1 day but it started to rain). Payment was easy, Paul's son came to my house once work was complete and picked up a check. The work was great, the price was great, and the customer service was great--I really appreciated not having to take any time off of work to be there for repair and everyone was so friendly and easy to work with. Will definitely use again if I have any other concrete projects.

The excellent service. They did a beautiful job. They are very reasonable. The workers of total 6 person, they cleaned up after themselves. I would like to give them a triple AAA. The boss was on the field.

Paul and his crew got to work quickly taking up the old broken concrete. They cleaned up all the debris and poured the concrete. I was impressed by their attention to detailing the edges of the squares. They put up barriers to protect the fresh concrete. I’m very pleased with the results

I previously wrote a review that was not good because I was very unhappy at the results and they took a long time to correct it. Paul finally got in touch with me and came out to look at the work. He immediately sent over someone to fix the problem. They put a coating over the patio to fix the dark spots. It looked a lot better afterwards. The work at the second residence was done very well and I was very pleased with that. I am glad they finally fixed everything. I do believe in Paul's work and I know they can do an excellent job, but the rain can cause the wet cement to go very wrong. I am glad they finally fixed the problem and I recommend their work to others. Thanks Paul for everything. You now have a satisfied customer.

I called for an estimate instead of an estimate they came out and did the work. They took away my choice to hire based on price.

Paul was great - he was the 3rd provider we had contacted. I submitted a request via his website and received a phone call back within 24 hours. He came out for an estimate within a week and the work was done within 2 weeks.

Did not live up to expectations. First day, months ago, everything seemed to have went well. It went downhill from there. The 2nd day it rained after the concrete was poured. A tarp was placed over the curing concrete which caused streaks and spots everywhere when the tarps were removed. Also, and this is still puzzling, after all concrete was poured, there are now two sections of the yard where the concrete does not match. Light grey and dark grey. Paul said he could fix it by adding a coat of some material on the surface. A few weeks later, this the surface material was added causing the top to be whiter and it looked much better. However, they only added the surface material to one section of the yard. Called several times to get them to add the material to the remaining section, which still is dark grey. Said they did the rest but upon inspection, it is not done and now I'm done with this company. At this point, I don't want them to come back. I'd rather pay another company to make the yard appear as one color, something you'd think this contractor could have done, but chose not to. My advice, look elsewhere.

It worked out excellent and they were really good. They are very courteous and I will definitely do business with them again.

Very well. Covered the floors in the living and dining rooms with a tarp. Cleaned up the work area. Did a very professional job.

Scott and Charlie were both professional and showed up on time. They did an excellent job doing the stucco and cleaned up afterwards. Paul was very helpful keeping me up to date with regards to the schedule.
