Excellent. This is a real family business and Paul and his sons with some non family assistance work like a tight well coordinated team. Everyone was considerate and seemed to be completely in control. This was one of the very best experiences I have had with any kind of house repair service. It was genuinely a pleasure to work with them and I am very happy with the work they did.
Description of Work: Back of house was stuccoed, chimney repaired and front inside basement wall filled in and cemented.

Paul came out and gave us a fair price and came highly recommended from neighbors and on here. He called later that day and said he had a cancellation and could do our wall the next day! When I got up the next day at 7:30, the wall was almost completely demolished. His worker was professional and nice and had the wall completed by noon! I would highly recommend him. He was not cheapest estimate, but not the most expensive either. Besides cheap does not always mean you get good work!

He did an absolutely great job. His price was very reasonable. Fast, efficient while I wasn't even at home. He came on time and removed all the debris. He did a fine job. You do have to be very clear with him if you are talking color. However, I took it as my fault b/c I didn't specify enough...so if you are using him, be sure to specify exactly what you want b/c if you leave it up to him, you may not be talking about the same thing.

This job was quick and easy --- easy for me, at least. Paul suggested a tinted product instead of plain cement, at no extra cost, and it's much better looking than the old stuff. The guys were very considerate, quiet and clean, leaving no mess at all behind from a very messy process. I have no way of knowing how well it will hold up, but it's been through a horrendous winter, and so far, so good.

The stucco at the rear and side of the house was cracked and crumbling. We had noticed several leaks throughout the house and suspected that they were derived, in part, from cracks in the stucco. I called a handful of businesses. One even commented that the problems with our stucco were more severe than he had ever seen. Having said that, Paul was the most responsive. He came out the same day and provided a reasonable estimate. I found him trustworthy, professional and friendly. Within a week, he and his crew came out and began work. When it was complete, Paul made a couple of additional recommendations for a roofer to complete. After a heavy rain, he called to follow-up. I was very happy with his service and will call him again for cement work at the front of our house.

He delayed the work for a number of weeks because he was not able to schedule anybody to do the work. He came back later and did additional work apart from his work for free to cover up the time delay. I would highly recommend him. His pricing was competitive.

They were very good. I had my backyard center blocked. So they had to put a foundation to the ground and build 2 walls because I actually had one there. Paul was prompt and he showed up. He was very polite and courteous. I appreciate him more because I am a woman and contractors approach women differently. They usually don?t explain things or they make things sound more complicated than they need to be. However he didn?t do that. He told me exactly what he was going to do. He explained why he had to do the different things. He didn?t try to claim that I needed a new back door like other people would do on top of what I was doing which would have added another few hundred dollars. He said that I didn?t need one and I didn?t. His workmen came on time and they did their job. They were neat. I would recommend him. I actually had him come out and look at a second thing that turned out that I am not going to do, but he did come. His price was fair; he wasn?t the cheapest or the most expensive. He was reliable and I was happy with him. I think that he is a really good person in his field.

Very well. Paul submitted a quote promptly. His estimate was nearly 500 less than another one we had received. He and his three sons arrived the day they said they would work. They were courteous and cleaned up after the job was finished. They even brushed the leaves off our entire porch area (they fixed some loose mortar there, but didn't have to clean the leaves off the entire porch to do it). The sidewalk they repaired looks quite nice..

The crew showed up, removed all the old bricks from my sidewalk and my neighbors' sidewalk.I submitted a report earlier to when the job was actually completed, but, I have now revised my opinion of this company and the work they do. They poured my sidewalk on the first day and my neighbors on the second day of the job. The first problem arose when I discovered the tint did not go through all the concrete but was on the top instead. This is not what I was told during the estimate. When I questioned Paul he said that on a job this small they would not have the tint all the way through the concrete like they mix at the concrete factory. I was not pleased about this. About 3 months after the job was completed my neighbor's slabs started cracking and flaking. She called Paul and has written him. He will not respond to her inquiries. About 7 months after the job was completed my conrete slabs started cracking and flaking. I called Paul and informed him of this. He said he would swing by one day when he was working downtown and check it out and get back to me, probably in a week or so. He called me back to apologize for not getting over to look at the sidewalk, and that is the last I have heard from him. He hasn't responded to my other calls, So I am going to assume this work was not guarenteed and I'll have to live with the cracks and flakes or hire another company to re-do the job.

They came out and did some stucco work on the end of my home. They came out quickly and gave me an estimate comparable to others that I have received. They are a family run business. Paul's crew showed up on time. They removed the bricks from the sidewalk in front of the house. My neighbor was having the same work done. They removed the bricks from her house as well. They leveled the area and poured the concrete. After that they tinted the top of the concrete. They pour my neighbors sidewalk the next day. It was raining and the top of my neighbors sidewalk walk marked with pock marks which she was not happy about. There must have been a mis communication between Paul and me. I was led to believe that the color of the concrete would be throughout the concrete instead of just tinted on top. Now that the concrete has cured I am able to see where the tinting was not applied evenly. The concrete is streaky. I will have to have another company come out in the Spring and re-tint the sidewalk. Not what I had in mind. The walls in the back of the house needed to be pointed and parged. We noticed this after removing the drywall during a kitchen renovation. Paul came in and did the work. In the process he damaged a brand new hard wood floor that had just been put down. When we questioned him he basically said he did not know how it happened. He did not lower his price in order to compensate for the damage. I will either have to have the boards replaced or try to buff out the scratches.

I thought the estimate was high so I didn't get the work done. Another company gave me an estimate of $3,500 but never called me back. I was only expecting the job to cost $1,000 to $1,500. I guess I was naive! Overall, it was a good learning experience and if I ever need cement work done, I will call this company for another estimate.
Description of Work: I received an estimate to lower approximately a 5' x 7' section of my basement cement floor by 8 or 9 inches, re-pour and level and shore up the sides. The estimate was $4,850.

We called Paul and he got back to us right away to arrange to stop by and see the job. He returned a quote over the phone the next day and started worked within a few days afterwords. Had it not been for the big rainstorm he would have finished faster but he lost a few days due to weather. As soon as the weather cleared up he was back to finish the job. His crew (mostly his sons) were hardworking guys with pleasant smiles. They kept the work site clean throughout the job. We were really happy with the final result and highly recommend Paul, he is a real artist with cement!

It was a little surprising, because he was in line with other estimates, but also a lot cheaper than others. I said we were waiting for some money, and he came out and did the work anyway, and just said to pay him when my check came out. There was a little bit of problem when the concrete dried, and I called him and he came right out and fixed it, and now it looks great!

Paul gave me a quote of $875 to "re-cement brick and block as needed; cleanup and removal." I understood this to mean re-laying the brick ("re-cement" means to "cement again"; that is, replace the old cement with new cement), but the workers merely wanted to cement over it, leaving the sandy mortar in place. This wall is an exterior, load-bearing wall; merely cementing over the brick wasn't going to provide the necessary strength and stability to support the roof without sagging or possibly failing in upcoming years. I really wished Paul would not have given a quote for the job if he wasn't planning on doing it the right way. Although he claims it would be solid, covering up the exterior surface of a failing wall with cement will not magically turn the inside of that wall into a structurally sound, solid brick wall. I am disappointed at both the waste of time and his willingness to do an inadequate job.
Description of Work: Provided estimate for repairing a damaged section of a brick wall, where the mortar had turned to sand, most of the section of wall was soft and sagging, and many bricks had fallen out. Arranged for the work, but when the workers showed up on the premises, we realized that what they were planning to do and what I expected them to do were completely different, so we stopped the work before it even started.

Paul returned my call promptly and came within 24 hours to give me an estimate on the job. I was unsure of what exactly needed to be done to seal our existing stucco, which I feared was suffering from water damage. He proposed several different solutions, explaining each. Upon closer inspection, he realized some of the flaws in our existing stucco. He told me that if it was his house, he would restucco. I called him to schedule the work on a Saturday and he said he was available to start Monday morning, as it would give him an excuse not to unload the scaffolding from his truck. Paul and his three employees showed up early Monday and were finished by 1:00 pm. At every step of the process, Paul or one of his employees consulted me about decisions that needed to be made, explaining the pros and cons. I really appreciate how tidy and polite Paul's team was. I would definitely hire him again.
