After a pipe leaked in our home, it was a challenge to find a contractor who was willing to provide an estimate and commit to the project while simultaneously working with us to navigate the challenges involved in a home owner's claim. After months of getting the run-around from other contractors in Philadelphia, we were grateful to connect with Mr. Contractor. Barry and the Mr. Contractor team were wonderful to work with! They were easy to communicate with, flexible, skilled, and efficient. We are grateful for their attention to detail and making sure things were done right. We couldn't be happier with the finished product and would definitely hire them again in the future.

The work they did was better than expected. I actually met with about 4 contractors prior to Steve from Mr. Contractor. I must say I am more than satisfied with the results of the work done. While the contractors before found issues/obstacles, and made comments on how difficult the work would be to get done, Steve found no issues. What I thought take a couple weeks was done in a couple days.

Mr. Contractor installed a glass kitchen backsplash and renovated a bedroom closet at my house in Point Breeze over the holidays. Steve’s team arrived on time, completed both projects on schedule, and their work was high-quality. Steve also communicated with me throughout the process. Mr. Contractor is known to be the top home improvement company in the Philadelphia area, and this reputation is so well-deserved! We have a major stucco issue on the back wall of our house, which involves removing and replacing a balcony (our only route for roof access), redoing the back wall, and eliminating water infiltration and water damage. We had a very challenging time finding contractors who knew how to do this work properly until we found Mr. Contractor. So many others wanted to do quick fixes that we know from experience are a poor return on investment that just lead to more problems and expenses down the road. Not so with Mr. Contractor: this team has the deep technical expertise needed to do a job the way it's meant to be done, so that customers like myself can return to enjoying their home without worrying that the problems will soon return. Beyond technical expertise and completing work in a timely manner, what truly stands out about the Mr. Contractor team, and why I can't recommend them enough, is how much they care about their customers. Our back wall was in even worse condition than we knew (impossible to have known that in advance because damage was hidden by the external façade), and the implications of this were very overwhelming for my husband and me. The extensive personal attention and high level of respect, support and understanding we've received from the Mr. Contractor team have helped make this experience feel much more manageable. This has included everything from the Project Manager coming by to meet me in person whenever I've requested him to, the project work team being respectful of our home and our neighbors, and clear, frequent, open communication. This level of service and attentiveness is phenomenal, and really outshines the competition. Mr. Contractor first came over to evaluate the back wall issue while I was pregnant, and the repair work has been taking place following the birth of my first child. Not great timing at all for an extensive home repair project, yet the Mr. Contractor team stands out for how they have managed these dynamics gracefully and with kindness. It's such a pleasure to work with a local, family-owned business that, generation after generation, continues to build upon what they started 70 years ago and consistently delivers top quality service and results to customers. This is the first time I have worked with a contractor that not only cares so much about their own family, but also makes me feel like they really care about mine. It went very well! They completed the work in a day and were very conscientious about containing the inevitable dust. I also like that they asked me questions about the work as they went along -- they did not make assumptions about what should be done. In addition, they are willing to work with my budget -- which is small -- and are doing incremental work as I can afford it. Working on an old (1825-30) is like doing archeology, and I appreciate Ken's enthusiasm about making discoveries as we go along.

Mr. Contractor is excellent. We initially hired them to paint and build built-in bookshelves and storage in our last home. They were professional, timely, and did great work. We just hired them again for a complete bathroom remodel. Their prices feel a bit on the high side (though I don’t have much to compare to), but I feel like the quality and reliability are well worth the added cost!

removed a old rotted deck and opened wall to acess deck from our living room with a nice french door and designed a modern functional deck with outdoor grilling bump out and a pergola for that unique look Steve and his team of carpenters are nothing but professional clean neat and respectful. i would recommend them to anyone looking for a quality job and pricing is on the high end but other companies came in higher without even detailing out and spending the time making my husband and i feel at ease.

My home was clean and no trash left after all the demolition work ...they did a great job. Lonnie was my contact and he followed up with me next day. Mr. Contractor was excellent to work with in every way. Quick to contact me, consistent with updates, professional demeanor. The work was excellent. They replaced rotted wood on the structure, re-coated the roof, stabilized the uprights and painted. It looks great. They cleaned up 100% when finished. Don't look elsewhere. This is quality work.

We worked with Ken and I knew we were in good hands from the outset. Mr. Contractor quickly set up an appointment for Ken to come to our house to assess the project and he was able to give us a quote right on the spot. His price was the best by far of the three we got and he stuck to this budget throughout the project. There were a couple of things we added onto the project later and his prices were very fair. Anytime we had a question about the project we received a very quick response and he kept us updated as the project progressed from the permits to the end. Additionally, we had some sprinkler work done during the project that was outside of the scope of our project with Ken but he was instrumental in getting the sprinkler company to complete the job in a timely fashion. We’d still be waiting for that work to be done if Ken had not taken the lead in coordinating with them. We are very happy with the quality of the work done and I would highly recommend choosing Mr. Contractor for your renovation. Our renovation turned out exactly as we had planned and I’m very glad we chose Mr. Contractor.
