MIKE'S FURNITURE

Mike called me back immediately. Picked up the table when he said he would. Workmanship is excellent.

Mike did a really incredible job bringing life back to this chair. He pulled 144 rusty upholstery tacks, stripped, sanded and refinished the chair. He was also to save the label and makers mark which was important to me. I dropped the chair off on a Friday and he had it back to me two weeks later. I will definitely use Mike's services again.

We called several times and left messages to get information about furniture repair. We never received a return phone call.

I called again, and was told he was "so busy" and what do I have? I have a very large job, and would only work with someone who actually was responsible. One way to assess reliability, in my view, is to answer phone messages.

We feel so lucky to have found Mike's. He is generous with his expertise and sharing of other professionals who can service his client's other needs. Working with only one assistant, sure, sometimes Mike is hard to reach; however, he always comes through, and his work is beautifully executed. Take a walk through his workroom to observe the results.

I called on the 7th of August and spoke to an employee who told me Mike was away and that Mike would call me on Monday the 11th, that didn't happen. I waited until today (the 13th) and called again and Mike answered the phone. We talked for a few minutes and I was asking him where he was located so I could bring the item to him. That's when I realized he was no longer on the phone with me. I thought there was a disconnection, so I called back. On the second call I left a voicemail and he still hasn't called back.

Mike and his team were great. 1. Coordination- very simple, sent him a few pictures and he gave me a quote 2. Arranged a pickup time, he was punctual 3. Timeline was on point with what he quotes 4. Arranged a drop off and I must say I was extremely impressed with the work. Everything works great, it looks brand new, and I truly appreciate the help. Would use in the future if I have something to be done.

Detailed messages with phone numbers, location, type of work needed (door refinishing) left with service "provider." Not one phone call was returned!

rec'd a custom-made stained finish vanity from a CO company with a defective finish. needed it painted right away so renovation could proceed. Mike answered inquiry promptly, picked up and delivered finished piece as agreed. No problems at all and the piece looks perfect! Wish all my subs were working out as well. Thanks, Mike!

The finished product far exceeded my expectations.

Mike was prompt and efficient with the job. I am now able to use the dressing table as a desk. The furniture was used by my parents for over fifty years and while it was structurally sound and had few nicks, the finish was so dark, the grain was hidden. it is now a treasure. I am reclaiming another piece from my daughter and having Mike redo it. The quality of these pieces American made solid wood pieces is very difficult to find today.

Mike is as good as his word. He delivered the table back this morning and it looks incredible! Finish is as good or better than on a new piece, except they don't make pieces like this anymore -- quarter sawn oak looks amazing. Mike is a true craftsman -- he even took apart drawer bottoms to clean up, refinish, and re-attach to drawers. Also, the top of this table was in decent shape but had some ugly stains and marks. They are now all gone. This piece is now rock solid and in near mint condition; unbelievable for a table more than 100 years old. We are very happy with his work, and are already discussing future projects for him to tackle.

Sent an email and a picture of damage to my sofa. Received an email in return asking me to call. I called and set up an appointment for Sat. Oct. 12, 2013. Mike said he would call first. I never heard from him again. He never showed up. He did not call me and he has not responded to subsequent emails.was

I found Mike through Angie's List and went there to drop of the chair. He told me what he was going to do and gave me a written estimate on the spot. When he was finished he called me and I picked it up. It was beautiful

It was great. Mike did a wonderful job all around. I would definitely recommend his services.

Mike arranged to pick up the three pieces. He arrived promptly, looked them over, and confirmed the estimate he had previously given us based on our description and photographs. We discussed some detail of the refinishing. Mike was careful to determine exactly how we wanted the finished pieces to look and he was also offered very helpful advice and suggestions based on his knowledge of furniture. We agreed on a return date and asked Mike to deliver them when ready to the new house we were in the process of moving into. Mike e-mailed and texted us with progress photographs and always responded within hours to our requests for updates. He arrived promptly on the agreed delivery date and time and we were thrilled with the quality of his work. My wife and I are amazed at how good all three pieces look. Given their age and condition we really did not expect such great results. Mike is a skilled and experienced craftsman and it show in his work. He is also a great guy! We would not hesitate for a second to trust him with other furniture repairs or refinishing.

He came out and picked it up. I felt his price was fair and he did a good job. He stripped it, repainted it, and lacquered it. It took about 2 weeks. He was really good and I really liked him. I was very comfortable with him. When he was done with it, he delivered it back to me.

He did an excellent job. The table looks beautiful! It was in rough shape - older which nicks, scratches, water stains. It now looks like a brand new table. He's also a very nice & cordial fellow. He said it would take two weeks & was back on time.

He worked on an additional antique side table for me. He took that table to his shop. He refinished it, and delivered it back to me. It was excellent job.

I was not pleased that he did not return my call.

Before deciding to refinish our bedroom furniture we went shopping to see what comparable solid oak, dovetailed drawers and all wood frames would cost us. The quality of what we found was not even close and the cost more than to refinish. Mike did a beautiful job refinishing our pieces as well as modernizing them by removing some old metal detailing. The set that he refinished for my mother she told me looked just as it had 60 years ago - she was delighted with the results as were we with the bureau and chest of drawers he did for us. Beautiful work and attention to detail. Mike is an old world craftsman. We will definitely use him again when we are ready to refinish our dining room set.
