MG CONTRACTORS INC

We originally contacted MGC to remove brush and cut down a few trees in our yard. I was contacted back quickly and recieved a reasonable estimate for the work. The crews were actually able to do the work a day earlier than expected, a big bonus. The work wqas done quickly with little residual waste left behind in the yard. As the crew was finishing up I asked about getting scheduled for weekly lawn service and was given what I thought was a fair quote for weekly cuttings. Unfortunately, this is where things went south. When leaving, one of the trucks sideswiped one of our neighbor's cars. Several neighbors witnessed the driver stop, get out, look at the damage, then get back in his truck and drive off. I was not aware of this incident until the neighbor whose car had been damage came to the door with a police officer to obtain the name of the company. After this MGC never returned calls regarding the lawn services.

I called him first. He called back the next day, came at 5:30 like he said. He took measurements and explained well what he could do, and he gave me a written price on the spot. Then I called the others (about 4 other contractors straight from Angie's list). They were all higher in price, thou still very professional. I called Mario back and explained about putting in the wall, so the price went up some, but still far lower than the next price ($6200). I gave him the job and we met on Saturday at Homedepot to pick out the retaining wall blocks. All went well and he showed up on Monday to supervise the job with 4 others. Then it rained for 3 days and I had to call him a couple of times to make sure he was coming again on Monday to finish the driveway. He kept his promise and showed up and did all the final work. Overall Mario is an honest man who gives good prices and does good work.

This is totally unprofessional. They wasted my time. I had other things to spend my time on. I lost four hours of work time that I needed. They could have called and stated that they couldn't make it.

The work went very well. He was very fast both with giving an estimate, and then when we hired him to do the work. We did not have a very big job, and we had some problems getting estimates from other companies because the job was too small, but Mario came out very quickly and gave us a very good price for what we wanted done. Since the job was so small he was able to fit it in very fast. We had been warned that it was high demand time concrete people, so we might have to wait a few months or more to get it replaced, but not with Mario. He was very professional, cleaned up after all the dust, and did a really nice job matching it the steps that were still there. I would definitely hire him again and recommend him to my neighbors.

They receive a bond fide A. I would use them again without question. They were quick, efficient, courteous, and professional in everything that they did.

The day of the appointment I stayed home waiting for them and they never showed up or called.

Mario and his crew showed up at 0730 on the agreed upon day and went to work right away. They removed the plant debris and old concrete and just about the time that this was done the cement truck showed up and started the pour. Immediately they started finishing the concrete into the prepared areas. When finished they cleaned up all the construction mess and put up safety tape to prevent folks from accidentally walking into the new work. I could not have been more pleased with the work and the friendliness and the professionalism of Mario and his crew. His bid was the lowest that I received, but his work was of high quality. He also tolerated me watching the whole evolution from start to finish with a gracious humor.

The work went smoothly. Mario came out to personally give the estimate and complete the work. He cleaned the area upon completion and took all of the debris away. The wall is done well and is very sturdy.

I just can say enough good things about the treatment and quality of service we received from Mr. Gutierrez and his team. Not only where they professional and courteous but they came right when they said they where coming, and they would start the work and not stop until they finished what they set-up to finish for that day. These guys where amazing, I was totally so happy with not only their work ethics and timeliness of their work, but especially with the quality of their work. I thought this was going to be a drawn out expensive project. It was the best experience I've had with any contractor (and we've had work done in our house before) - but this had to be the best experience that I have yet had. I got quality work done at a reasonable cost, done by an honest guy - what more can a person ask for. I would recommend this gentleman in a millisecond to anyone who had any type of concrete work to get done.
