Description of Work: Walter Tinney provided excellent customer service, going above and beyond.

Description of Work: On 12/02/12 we ordered 3 pieces of furniture on 2 sales checks. We were told that 2 pieces would be in around 12/23/12. We waited until 01/02/2013 to check on the order. When we called we were told that one piece had been cancelled. We did not cancel. The customer service people could not tell us why it was cancelled. They said it was cancelled on 12/07, but could not tell us by whom or for what reason. They had already cashed our checks. We agreed to reorder it since we were told that the other 2 pieces were on track. On January 6th, we received a phone call and an email message that our two pieces were to be delivered on the 10th. After waiting around until after 2PM on the 10th, I called to inquire about a delivery time. At that point I was told that the two remaining pieces had also been cancelled. On the 11th I went to the furniture store in Cherry Hill for an explaination. No one in the store could tell me why the orders were cancelled. I told them that, since they were not going to deliver my order, that I wanted my money back. I then spent over an hour in the store while the staff tried to find oit what happened. I was told that a check had been issued for a refund of the chair that had been re-ordered. The quoted amount of the refund was almost $100 less than what I was charged for the chair. Remember, I did not cancel the order. I was assured that, within 10 business days that I would have my money back..On January 18th I received the check for the chair that was $100 less than the cost of the chair. On January 28th I received a 'merchandise certificate' in the amount of less than half of the total order. This was not a check, it was a 'store credit'. I contacted customer service againand, again, no one could explain why this happened. I am still waiting for my refund. I will never set foot in a Macy's store again.
