We had a bathroom installed by Lowe's in Dec. 2018. Less than two months later we found that the shower threshold was cracked and we had water running onto our bathroom floor. Lowe's had the installer return to fix it. Not even a month later, the grout on the shower floor started to loosen and come up. Lowe's again sent the installer back to "fix" the problem. He patched the loose grout. Can you "patch" loose grout? Apparentlu not. Now after a little more than a year of the "fixed" job, all the grout is coming up. Obviously, this was NOT a good installation. Lowe's will only say "Sorry, we understand you are frustrated. The one year warrenty has expired." I have a private contractor out now and was told the entire shower floor was done wrong. We are now paying a private contractor more than $1000 to fix the mistakes the Lowe's installer made. If I could give Lowe's a negative 10 rating, I would. Terrible installation and terrible customer service. Lowe's, when problems occur right from the beginning, maybe you should possibly think that the job was not done correctly and help your customer CORRECTLY have the problem fixed.

The installer cut a live plumbing pipe when trying to remove the existing vanity. This resulted in flooding my bathroom, the bathroom floor, the hallway floor, the kitchen ceiling and the kitchen floor. The vanity was also installed completely wrong -- glue hanging off the sink, shims sticking out from the legs, the walls were damaged and he left the bathroom in a complete mess. Now, I have to start all over, get a new vanity, a new contractor and a new headache... not to mention the fact that the entire house is now a mess thanks to Lowe's, too. I have since filed a claim with Lowe's insurance. Unfortunately, the offered claim is not enough to fix the damages sustained. They have refunded the cost of the install and the vanity, but have left me with many more problems than I started out with. And, without the funds to be able to fix them. The only response I am able to get (to date) from the adjuster is to: accept the settlement or escalate the claim to my home owner's insurance. I hired Lowe's because their in-store team assured me that they screened their contractors and that they stood by their workers if anything went wrong. That has not been my experience. Once I wrap up this claim, I will never shop at or hire Lowe's for any home improvement needs. It actually would have been easier to deal with a contractor directly; then you wouldn't be bullied by a huge corporation's insurance department. I'm really disappointed by this whole situation. I feel like they have taken advantage of me. They are trying to keep the cost of the claim low -- without any regard to how much it is going to cost me to make the repairs. Then, they are going to litigate and recoup costs back from the contractor's independent insurance. Essentially, they are trying to make a profit at my expense. It's bad business. They hired the contractor; they should be doing what they can to help me fix my home. If you are a single woman trying to find contractors to do work in your home, don't go to Lowe's. Stick to independent reviews on Angie's List. Even if something goes wrong, at least you're not dealing with a billion dollar company's insurance machine...

Lowe's is really good. We had something wrong with another store for the same exact purchase and we had the order paid for and everything, and we said, we already have a problem with that other store so we would rather give you our business. We talked to the phone first and talked to one of the managers for the delivery area and we had actually waited weeks with the other store for these products, several delivery dates, several forms, several reviews of the weather and everything and he told us to come and see if there was a price match, and he actually price matched an expired fail from the other store to get our business. We had our refrigerator installed the next day and their delivery team was amazing, they took all my doors off, they took doors off all the appliances and they took all the old stock. They were very thorough, I don't think I have ever had a better group of delivery guys. We were really happy with them. They made sure everything was level and told us how to properly care for those items. They were really good. They even price matched an expired other store sale to get us to do the purchase. The Lowe's manager never really approached up and that was my only complaint.

Today they came to deliver the replacement and said they could not bring it in with only 2 guys. This was fine but I have to wait 2 days for that to happen. They knew the space they were dealing with but failed to take that into consideration when planning the delivery. In addition, they failed to notify me that the refrigerator had arrived at the store. I had taken the afternoon of work for this. I will not be ordering from them again.

I contacted the president of Lowe's, Mike Flannigan, and he helped me resolve my problem. He made all the arrangements that needed to be done to get the new floor put in.

I ordered tile for a backsplash from Lowe's and paid an additional $35 for an installation estimate. The estimate the sub-contractor provided was RIDICULOUSLY high. I ended hiring a local contractor to do the work for less than HALF the price Lowe's contractor wanted to charge me. I lost the $35 service charge, but ended up saving a lot more in the long run by shopping around. NOTE: I've had other installation work done by Lowe's and was very satisfied with the quality and price. It depends on the type of work and the sub-contractor they use.

Good. There was a frustrating 2 months because Lowe's had mixed up my paper work somehow and I initially ended up with no interest free 12 month plan and I was charged for delivery that should have been free. However, once I called to complain, customer service investigated my claim and immediately fixed the problem and gave me the money I paid for delivery and also retro actively gave me the 12 months interest free financing.

They did an excellent job. Unlike their main competitor, who refused to assist me until I paid a $100 measuring fee, Lowe's used my measurements as an estimate and did all the plans without ANY money up front. Once I decided to order they then charged a $75 deposit for measuring that went toward the cabinets. The delivery of the cabinets and installation was exactly as scheduled without any problems.

The experience at Lowe's was beyond excellent. I ordered the wrong heater (tall instead of short) and had to go back and change the next day when I realized. The sale on heaters that had been on the day before had finished but they matched the sale price anyways even though it was my mistake. They called twice to follow up and the installation-man called within 24 hours as promised. The man who installed it was polite and called me before he arrived as I had requested. My pipes and hoses were outdated, but instead of leaving and saying that he couldn't install it, he had extra supplies in his truck and replaced all my pipes and hoses on his own accord. He did charge me a little extra for the parts, but it was worth the convenience (rather than returning to the store to get more parts). Note, he did not clean up afterwards though. I had called three other independent companies from Craig's List, but they were all at least $300 more than Lowe's quote so I went with the big guy.

There was a little confusion about scheduling, so I would caution anyone using them to triple check the delivery day and time, esp if you are taking off work. Other than that, everything was fine. The workmen were prompt and quick about the job. Our basement stairway is very narrow, so it was tricky to get the machine down the stairs, but they did it with no incident. Please note that they do not hook up gas dryers or hard wire ovens;you have to arrange with your plumber or electrician to do that if the appliance doesn't just plug in. The appliances are a Fisher and Paykel dryer and a Frigidaire convection conversion electric oven with smooth top range. Both have been performing very well for several months.

I ordered 20 top-quality Pella windows for my home and paid for installation. The windows came in about 5 weeks, and the installers were quick and professional. They installed all but one of the windows (that one was either damaged in transit or dropped in my driveway depending who you talked to). They promised to return in a couple weeks to install the final window. I did not hear from anyone for weeks and weeks. I called the store and found out that the hardware had been ordered, but not the window. The rep promised a window in three weeks. Months passed with me calling, being promised a window in a week or two, then hearing nothing. In the end, I had to complain to the nation Lowe's contacts, who sorted out the issue. 5 1/2 months after my initial order was placed, I had my final window installed. The windows are beautiful, but this was a ridiculous hassle. If not for the fact that I had charged the windows on my Lowe's cc and thus hadn't paid for them yet, I would have lost it.

I'M HAPPY WITH THE ACTUAL CARPET, BUT I HAD A SO-SO EXPERIENCE WITH THE SUBCONTRACTOR (SEMPER FI CARPET). THE INSTALLATION WAS DONE REASONABLY WELL, BUT THE INSTALLERS WERE OVER TWO HOURS LATE. PLUS, THE INSTALLERS WERE NOT EQUIPPED WITH A WORKING VACUUM SO THEY COULD NOT VACUUM THE CARPET AFTER IT WAS INSTALLED. AS A RESULT, THE INSTALLATION WAS NOT AS NEAT AS I WOULD HAVE EXPECTED.
