Description of Work: Lloyd's moving Co quoted a reasonable price over the telephone during the initial review then sent out a representative to the moving location for an on site inspection who quoted a much higher price which was totally out of line with competitive moving companies in the Philadelphia area. No other movers asked to come out to review moving site and items to be moved. The new quote after the on site inspection was totally over priced. Found another Angie's list mover who offered an reasonable price and did an excellent job. I cannot not recommend Lloyd's Moving company for moving services.

+ -1 moreIt went very well. They cheerfully did everything I asked them to do. I could have given them much more to do and they were willing and able. I found their work attitude to be very pleasant, considering that they are doing heavy lifting. They did slightly scratch the floor when moving a very heavy piece of furniture which I had not unloaded. Unfortunately they/we did not notice four boxes in the corner of the kitchen. I called about 20 minutes after they left but since it was Sunday no one took the call at the office and I left a message. When I called back on Monday morning, they were glad to come back after their Monday job and take the boxes to the third floor. I had construction workers in to demo my kitchen, so they did it and I called and canceled.
Description of Work: Three men came on a Sunday and moved approximately 20 boxes and some heavy furniture pieces within my house over four stories counting the basement. They dissembled a bunk bed. It was a minimum charge of $260 for 2 men for 4 hours for a Sunday. It would have been $175 for Monday. Instead they sent 3 men and were done in 2 and a half hours. Had I had other things to move, they were happy to accommodate me for the full 4 hours. Payment is in cash. The office is very professional and they call to confirm and to let you know who is coming.

+ -1 moreExceeded expectations. They called an hour before they were scheduled to arrive to tell me they would be 15 minutes late and they arrived at the slightly modified time. Their crew was professional and polite. The crew asked good questions, politely communicated issues (scratches, etc.) with us and worked very efficiently.
Description of Work: Moved a 3+ bedroom house locally. The work included disassembly/ reassembly of some furniture. Work involved a basement and 3 floors of goods. The move was short ( 2 miles), but they were loaded/unloaded in less than the 4-hour minimum.
