I originally contacted them through craigslist to do my drywall. Their price was the best I could find and the work was done well and promptly. After my first good impression, I decided to use their services for my bathroom, living room floor and ceramic tile. THAT WAS A HUGE MISTAKE! The service went downhill after the drywall, and poor quality in craftsmanship was only the start. My floor was not leveled properly and because of this the wood floor is bowed in places and makes a lot of noise when you walk in those spots. This was easily fixed with a few additional bags of floor leveler ($20). But now I will need to rip the floor up in the future and completely redo this portion of the project ($2,000). One day, upon arriving home, one of the workers was clearly intoxicated, and to the point he was falling over! One of the painters appeared to be on drugs, a few days later! Only one guy returned the next day, apologetic about his partner and finished the work. When he was finshed, the general contractor wouldnt answer his phone. I was about to drive the poor guy home an hour away, but finally heard from him at 11:30 pm! I also believe he stiffed the guy on pay! The general contractor who owns this operation "Leo" not his real name, is truly to blame, he was often off on other projects, not here to make sure things were being done correctly. He failed to meet my expectations time and again, and realized when it was to late, he was a flat out liar. The workers throughout the project were always changing. One group started my floors and another finished. Thats not how you do good work. At the end of our dealings, I gave him $400 to finsih painting a door, do various trim work and one other small project, I NEVER SAW HIM AGAIN! OWING ME $400 IN LABOR HE STOPPED ANSWERING MY PHONE CALLS! Not once did I lose my temper with him, I gave him many chances, and for that he took advantage at the end! Its important to mention, i did much of the labor up to this point myself and I expect good work. Saying that, im not illogical or expect perfection as some do. This guy totally let me down in the end, and reaffirmed to me the saying, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!
Description of Work: I had them drywall several rooms, bathroom tile, ceramic floors, wood floors, paint and trim work.
s like it was actually done. Kitchen, Installed tiling and cabinets. Tried to increase price because he had to do a backsplash and kitchen cabinets were not installed plum and straight. New windows were also installed not plumb and straight. Drywall, worst job ever done. Holes for the recessed lights were missed, holes for the air condition vents were missed, seams were not taped properly, corners are not straight. Paint, Half the effort twice the time. Wouldn't invest in a spray gun to paint house. Paint has streaks from brush, and work was done as if he had done it with his feet and not hands. Hardwood floors, was contracted out to someone else, with whom have done an ok job but some of the edges were not close enough to the wall where you can see gaps (even quarter rounds couldn't hide). But the job was done quickly. Overall, job was 4 months behind schedule. Work as horrible at best. Would NEVER recommend Leo to my worst enemies.
Description of Work: WORST! WORST, Experience EVER! The guy was ALWAYS late, didn't know what he was doing, and NEVER there to watch the guys (From in front of Home Depot) do the work. Job started on November 29th, 2011 and was estimated to finish Feb. 28th 2012. This guy was never early to the job site. Always taking his time to do the work. Claims that he was a carpenter buy NEVER once did any of the real work himself. From start to finished the had a total of 8 difference "crews" working on the house. Different "crew" means new guys, assuming these guys were picked up from in front of home depot every morning. I had the house re-framed, new electric, new plumbing, new air conditioning (Central Air), new kitchen, new baths, new windows, new drywall, fresh paint, and new hardwood floors. Re-framing the house was rough work, no real problems there. Although there were a few spots that the measurements were off by an inch or two, but nothing major. But other than that, no other aspect of the project was completed in its entirety or was completed at all. Electric, was not done and some was wired wrong. Had to hire another electrician to fix that problem. Plumbing, I had 3 bathrooms installed, in two of them the shower heads leaked and soaked the drywall under the bathrooms and behind the showers and in one of the bathrooms the sink was leaking. Air conditioning, new duct work was ran and he "forgot" to open vents throughout the halls of the house. Returns were not installed in every room (only select rooms). He never even attempted to braise the lines and tried to hide it by wrapping it with insulation and act
