We have high praise for JYJR Contracting, LLC We have previously hired Joe Yostto do many things in and around our home, including repointing exterior bricks, fixing a roof, replacing a sump pump backup battery, and removing glass doors in our child's bathtub. The most recent time we hired him, it was to spackle and paint water damage in our bedroom, spackle and paint small marks in our child's bedroom, paint over water damage in our living room ceiling, caulk the kitchen counter top, and to install weather stripping and paint on the garage door. As always, all the work was performed quickly and to our satisfaction. I recommend JYJR to all my friends and family.

Everything went extremely well. Work was completed in a timely manner. Very polite, friendly and fair in pricing this job.. Cleaned up after work was completed. I would highly recommend JY JR Contracting, LLC to anyone.

Joe is amazing. I've used JYJR contracting on multiple occasions, over the course of several years, and have never had a negative experience. The biggest job they have done at our home was a complete bathroom remodel. Joe worked with us to chose materials that we wanted but that would also fit within our budget. They showed up when they said they would and stayed until the job was done. The first thing that they did was cover all of our hardwood floors, (even in areas where they were not directly working), we found this indicative of the overall way that all employees of JYJR treated our home with the utmost care and respect. What I was most impressed with, and the reason I will continue to use their services, is that Joe made sure that we were ABSOLUTELY satisfied with the work that they did before they moved on to another job.I have recommended JYJR contracting to my family, friends, and I would recommend them to anyone.

We needed to address a long list of repairs from an inspection report. Joe and his crew did whatever it took to meet our very tight timelines for re-inspection. Even more importantly, when some items weren't completed to our satisfaction the first time, Joe immediately came out that same day to personally address.

They were on time. Clean!!! Which was awesome because we are somewhat obsessive with cleanliness. Fairly priced. Friendly, and Professional. I will definitely hire them again. Thanks JYJC!

Joe did a through job of researching appropriate lighting that would improve the lighting in the kitchen area and also meet our price range. He sent several options by e-mail outlining the pros and cons of the units. When a decision was made he ordered and picked up the lighting units and then installed them during the drying time when our floors were being refinished on the second floor. The installation is very attractive, the connecting cords are not visible and secured under the shelving. When finished he cleaned up all of the drilling debris and since we were temporarily out of the house he e-mailed up photos of the finished project.

He arrived on time with three very professional clean polite workers. They relocated all of the furniture from the second floor to to the first floor, removed the carpet, bagged it and took it away in the matter of a few hours. All of the vents were sealed, the doors to the bathrooms, and the smoke alarms. Sanding the floor beneath the carpet was finished the first day and we were able to see what the appearance would be . Early the second day the varnishing took place and of course we had to wait for it to dry. A second coat was put on the third day and allowed to thoroughly dry. We were advised to find someplace to stay while the work was being done which was advisable because of he dust and fumes. They were careful to seal the boards from below where there were gaps that would allow the sand and varnish to go through ( It is a loft condo and there is not ceiling below the floor boards above. ) The crew were meticulous about cleaning up the dust and putting everything back into place, unsealing the vents etc. A cleaning person would have been supplied to further dust if I had desired but I did not feel a need for that. The elevators in the building were padded before they brought in the equipment and completely cleaned when they were finished. There were no complaints from any of the condo management crew.

Joe was amazing. First off, he showed up on the verge of a major holiday (New Year's) to inspect the issue. I just had water in the basement and wasn't sure what was wrong. Joe quickly inspected the main stack and noticed that was the source of water running in. Then, Joe gave me the one thing I rarely get from contractors: Honesty. Joe told that there was likely one of two scenarios going on. Either the pipe was cracked right at the base where it exits the house, or it has completely collapsed under the sidewalk in front of the house. The former repair he told me would only be about $600, the latter would be more costly. Joe then said he would do either repair, but encouraged me to do the larger of the two. Joe's words "I would hate to do the cheaper fix for $600, only to find out that's not the problem and then have to do the other fix on top of it." Joe explained the likelihood of it being the entire collapse as my house is 80+ years old. I went with the latter, and Joe was correct. Two days later Joe's guys came over and even let me view the shattered sewer pipe in front of the house. Joe's experience was right, and he ultimately saved me money. The day after the fix Joe himself and another work poured new concrete on the sidewalk that was dug up for the repair. The sidewalk looks better than it did before the repair. I must also mention, that during Joe's first consult, he was clearly not feeling well. But Joe knew this was a major issue for me, and even though he didn't feel well he still made the trek out to my house to investigate. Fantastic work but an honest man. Can't ask for anything more.

The contractor had to run new wiring to the areas and install the fixtures. He was also on time, and extremely neat about his work, very polite and stood behind his work.

As usual, JYJR did a good job and came out relatively promptly. The box and downspout were cleared of ice and debris, preventing further leaking. Joe is always responsive, even during the busy season. We use his company when needed.

Joe handled all of the communication with the roofing subcontractor, which allowed for peace of mind, knowing that he would be thorough, accountable, and honest. The roofer ripped the old asphalt roofing down to the plywood and then replaced it with a silver granulated torched-down rubber, finished with aluminum metal edging. Joe has also helped me with a handful of other smaller projects and is always priced competitively and does great work. Whether he did the work himself or used subcontractors, the jobs were always done on time and within budget.
