Description of Work: The previous owners of our home had a home 400 s.f. home "office" which was built on a slab, very poorly built I might add. The room had single pane windows and poor insulation. We pretty much used the room for storage most of the time. John completely gutted the room to the studs, including ceiling, and reinsulated everything. He brought our attention to an outside corner area that had termite damage and possibly active infestation. We had that treated and John replaced the damaged wood. John installed all new dry wall on walls and ceiling over the new insulation, installed 4 new windows where the old ones were, built a beautiful new closet, installed 4 cabinets and countertop I bought at Lowes to create a "dry" kitchen/craft area, installed all trim etc. The walls were beautiful and paint ready. The electrician he suggested and coordinated with (Robert Cahill) was also wonderful and added/moved outlets incl cable, replaced the old baseboard heat, added recessed lighting, added closet lighting, laundry room lighting and recessed lighting in power room. (we paid electrician approx 4K seperately from John). John replaced 3 OLD single pane windows in our laundry room/powder room with glass block and it made such a huge difference! He also replaced our drop ceiling in laundry/powder room as most of it had broken over the years. John is now replacing powder room door and bifold doors in laundry area. John is incredibly meticulous, professional and trustworthy. We had gotten a quote from another great Angies list provider and although it was fairly reasonable, we just could not afford it. We know John through a family friend and we are so glad we asked him to quote us. Amazing work...I wish we had been able to hire John for work we had done years ago!!!
