AC WORKED!!

I had initially called him to give me a quote on replacing my heat exchanger which was under warranty. Horizon had told me that I had a crack in my heat exchanger when they came out to do the PM on my air conditioners this summer. Jeff was surprised I would need a new heat exchanger on a 15 year old Carrier, but gave me a very fair quote of $600 to replace it if it turned out that it was cracked, and he worked with Carrier to have the parts on hand when he came out to do the job. However, when he came to my house he showed me that my heater was working perfectly fine and there was just some surface rust that could be easily scraped off. So while Horizon had quoted me over $6000 to replace a heater that they claimed was damaged but wasn't, Jeff only charged me for the cost of the PM, despite all the time he spent coordinating iwth Carrier to get the parts to do the repair. I will definitely use him for all preventative maintenance work on my heaters and A/c going forward, as well as if I have a problem. If you are having a problem with a heater or A/C, I strongly suggest you call Jeff to get an honest assessment of the problem, and quality repair work if in fact there is a part that needs replacement, or a fair quote if you do in fact need to replace your HVAC. He was recommended to me by someone else who had a similar experience. My friend had been told his heater needed a very expensive repair and that it made more sense to replace it than fix it.
