ISC LLC Remodeling

Ian worked with my budget and did great work...his crew cleaned up after themselves so well i couldn't even tell that i had workers in my house painting.

Did a very nice job and also did gorgeous framing around the main window. The other companies' proposals didn't offer the framing and ISC's proposal was still cheaper. If there was a delay, Ian kept me well informed. Very nice and friendly people. I hope to use them again.

This contractor was an absolute pleasure to deal with. His professionalism, attention to detail, and quality of the end product was extraordinary. His employees took extremely good care of their surrounding work area and cleaned up to the point where noone would have known they were involved in such a messy project of imstalling and repairing the ceiling.

  This is definitely one contractor I would never hesitate to call again and again.

Ian and his team were incredible to work with. I would recommend whole heartedly and will hire again if and when we need our second bathroom remodeled. Our new bathroom is beautiful, particularly the stone tile in the shower/ tub area. It's the most beautiful room in our house! I have Ian to thank. From the first time we met Ian and went through the estimate process with him, I felt confident about hiring him and his crew. He is a total professional and does beautiful tile work. And he clearly loves his work. But after we hired him, I wasn't prepared to feel so pleasantly surprised by every single thing that Ian and his crew did. They showed up on time, they cleaned up after themselves every single day, they were reliable, they treated our family and each other with smiles and kind words, when the baby was sick and had to stay home with them in the house, they tiptoed. When I told Ian we really had to stick to our estimated budget, he listened, and stuck to that number. They didn't scare us with any surprises, as some less professional contractors might do. Ian also gave me an update every day on the progress they made. He and Mike on his team always offered to answer our questions. When we noticed a clanging noise associated with the new air vent, they climbed back up onto the roof and did some extra creative work to fix it. When we noticed our new vanity that I had picked out from Lowe's had some manufacturer's flaws (it looked refurbished even though it was advertised as brand new) , they offered to replace it the very next day with another one, even though that meant an extra day of trouble for them. Others might have just installed whatever I had picked out without questions, but I can tell Ian and Mike wanted us to be psyched with the finished product. (and we are!) They were problem solvers and consistently made our life easier, not harder. What a sweet feeling when you'r getting a major room remodeled. At the end of a month-long project, they were like friends to us...and we miss having them around. Thanks for a great experience and a gorgeous bathroom!!

This is the second review that I've posted.   I first used ISC for a major rehab job in one of my rentals in Ardmore back in February 2013 and I used them again for a smaller job in another rental in Ardmore.   This time, I had ISC install a new ceramic tile floor in the kitchen and replace sheetrock in the ceiling of the same kitchen.  
I had another great experience with this contractor.   The tiling came out perfectly.   The kitchen is in a building built in the 1800's and the building has settled considerably.  The floor in the kitchen was very uneven and Ian's guys were able to design the tiling to compensate for this problem.   I had originally chosen a larger tile and they recommended a smaller 12x12 tile due to the uneven flooring.  In hindsight, they were absolutely right and I was glad that I followed their recommendation.   The smaller tile hid the uneven floor perfectly and its hardly noticeable.
The job was completed on time and their estimate was accurate.  They even came on a weekend to make sure they stayed to the schedule.
This was my second successful job with ISC and they've become my go-to company for work needed in my rentals.

Ian, Mike and Sergio are experts at their craft.  They showed up on time, worked hard, and got the project done sooner than I expected (and they promised).  Communication was outstanding throughout the entire process and their initial estimate was right on.   In addition, I had an urgent need (unrelated to Ian's project) for a plumber during construction and Ian was able to get a guy down there same day.  That was much appreciated.  
I'm writing this review in May, but I used them in February.  I have Ian coming this month to install tile in another unit in the building.

By far the best experience we have ever had with anyone doing work on our house, and we have worked with quite a few over the years. Ian Stefenack is the owner, and he is a perfectionist. He even went with us, at no cost, when we picked our tile, our cabinets, etc. Picking such things is a pretty painful process for me, and after awhile the options begin to blur. But Ian joined us and was incredibly helpful and stayed with us the whole time, providing suggestions, his perspective and additional ideas and trouble shooting right from the beginning. He helped us avoid problems and develop improved plans as we progressed, but he stayed in the background as well, and was not intrusive at all.
Ian and his employees were very careful and clean and respectful of our time and property. I did not know Ian previously and never worked with him before. I am very careful with things like this, and I do a ton of research. I have had other work done on my house and I now wish I had met Ian previously as we would have hired him for those projects hands down. He will be my number one choice for future projects. We have showed off the bathroom to many friends and family, and every person has asked for Ian's contact info. Very impressive work! I would even say masterful. You will be extremely pleased with Ian's work and the very reasonable cost compared to the very high quality of workmanship.

Ian was responsive, professional, and communicative (the hardest to find!). His contractors were professional and tidy, they cleaned up each night. The work was completed in a timely manner and ended up looking fabulous. We changed a lot of things along the way and Ian was always helpful and promt at responding. I highly recommend this contractor. In addition, my boyfriend, who was in the tile business, claims the tile work is great. Thanks ISC Remodelling.

We moved into a new house and had a long list of things to renovate but a pretty tight budget.  Ian and his crew were really great.  Ian spent time listening to ALL of my dreams and ideas and gave me a realistic way to get the maximum number of items on the list taken care of.  From redoing an old kitchen on a shoestring, to putting in two doors where there were concrete walls, to building a bar in our basement and everything in between, Ian and his crew were skilled and great to have around.  Because I had so many random things to be done, it was a real test of Ian's skill and willingness to flex to get the job done within my budget and with many extra and helpful touches.  He never tried to sell me on work I did not want done and worked very hard to do things within my price range - a very honest fellow.  Ian always returned my phone calls and he and his guys always arrived as scheduled.  Pretty amazing, I'd say.  Everyone who worked with ISC were pleasant to have around, not loud or intrusive, used very clean language and had a good spirit about them.  They were always careful to clean up at the end of each day. Renovations are stressful, but these guys made it as pleasant a situation as it could have been.  I have recommended this company to my friends and when we are ready to do more work to our new home, we will definitely use ISC.  I had a very busy fall and never got around to writing a review, but was reminded as I was putting together my tax information.  Don't let the slowness of my review put you off.  I think you will be pleased by ISC whether your job is big or small.

Ian responded to initial contact immediately and was able to schedule work for the following week.The crew arrived on time every day and were polite and professional at all times. They protected all the surfaces in our home with tarps and plastic sheeting throughout the process.  We were consulted often as to our choices in spacing, design and convenience. 
The work was very well done and attention was paid to the small details. Quality materials were used and every effort was made to address all our needs and concerns.  The crew kept noise and dust to a minimum. The work site was cleaned up every day after work was completed and trash was promptly removed.  The work was completed in six and a half days.  The final product was exactly what we had wanted with some special considerations initiated by Ian.  We were extremely pleased with the work and would highly recommend the company to family and friends.

ISC Remodeling did a great job with our bathroom!! This was our first major renovation and we were nervous moving forward with such a large project. From picking out tiles and grout to finding the best price on shower doors, ISC Remodeling was extremely helpful. The work was done timely and in a professional manner. Ian and his team know what they are doing and are very detailed oriented. We are thrilled with the end product and would highly recommend ISC Remodeling. We look forward to working with them again on future projects. 

He was very efficient.  He came out to give me the estimate the day after I called him.  I put it on the backburner for almost a month, and he was very patient.  He did not call and bug me or anything.  I received 4 estimates, and I went with him because of his professional demeanor and considerate nature.  His staff was also wonderful!  They cleaned up after themselves.  He came back the same day to see about the only problem I encountered, and it didn't even end up being his fault.  I would highly recommend him to anyone!

Tired of bad workmanship and worse attitudes from contractors, we joined Angie's list when we needed a bathroom renovated.  We interviewed 4 contractors, including ISC.  From the beginning, it was clear that Ian was the best fit for us.  His price was competitive, but more importantly he was responsive, cooperative, and creative.  Plus he wasn't just the sales guy; he was on the job himself, which was important to us.  He was joined by a great crew, and they were truly a pleasure to have around (and they had a kind eye for detail!)
This was a full bathroom renovation which included moving the position of the shower, sink and toilet and rewiring all the electrics.  As with any renovation of this type, unexpected issues arose during the course of the job.  Ian offered solutions, handled the issues and managed to meet the schedule and budget.   Although we had a good idea of what we wanted, we incorporated a number of Ian's ideas, and he was receptive to ours.
The workmanship by Ian and his crew was of the highest standard, and Ian's tile work is outstanding.   They were also thoughtful, cleaning up after each day and even buying us a shower curtain and tension rod to use while we waited for our shower door to come in. 
We are glad that we joined Angie's list, and thrilled that we hired ISC for our bathroom remodel.  We will use them again, and have recommended them to friends and family. Our only regret is that we didn't know about ISC when we had previous work done!

He got back to me quickly and his prices are very reasonable.

I contacted Ian when I needed this work done. My tenants were away for 5 days and I needed to have the work done in that time frame. Ian came out on short notice and gave me a fair estimate for the work. Ian was able to arrange his schedule to get my job done in the time frame I needed. The workers arrived on time and gave me time to grab my tenant's cat. They went right to work and removed the vanity and the toilet and demoed the floor the first. They were always happy to show me what they had accomplished when I looked in. They were very neat cleaning up at the end of the day. Ian was there every day to see how the job was progressing. The job took 4 days and the ceramic tile floor looks beautiful. They removed all the trash and left me a very satisfied customer. I highly recommend this company and would certainly use them again.

The job came out perfectly.  Ian was prompt, punctual and professional.  I was very satisfied with the job completed by ISC.  I would recommend them if you need quality house repair work completed at a reasonable cost.

I had had problems for years with a bathroom that was poorly installed. There was an intermittent leak that damaged the ceiling of my front entryway. Several contractors and plumbers hade been out over the years to try to correct the problem but it persisted. Ian came promptly, was very flexible with my work schedule, and was up front about his plan. He discovered that the tub tiles had been installed on regular drywall, a big no-no, and that leaks were occurring because of it. In one day he patched and repainted a 4'x4 section of ceiling, removed moldy caulk and replaced it, AND replaced a wood sill to my front door (which was an extra I threw at him at the last minute). He even bleached the moldy grout to make it look better since he was not replacing the tile yet on this job. Everything looks beautiful and he was a pleasure to work with. I will absolutely use him again as the bad bathroom tile will have to be completely redone.

The company owner was one of several people I called to assess the job,  He returned my call within 48 hours and made an appointment to come and see the job within another 48 hours.  After checking out the extent of the work he left and called me the following day with a very reasonable quote.  We set up and appointment for the work to be completed - he was actually available before I could schedule, but the job was done in a very professional manner by an expert plasterer in about 4 hours.  In addition, I would like to say that all three areas were thoroughly cleaned and all the mess was carried away.  One additional thing that I really appreciated was that the men experienced a slight traffic delay - and called to advise me that they would arrive approximately 15 minutes late!

Their service was impeccable.  We live in a small one bedroom condo, and the damage was in the bedroom.  The work took four days, but they covered all our furniture, and every evening returned our bedroom to a condition where (apart from the missing drywall the first night) we were completely uninterrupted from using the bedroom as usual, and that first night, was fine as well, just a little freaky looking into walls we weren't used to looking into.
The work came out great, they kept the place clean the whole time, and you would have barely known we were having construction work done during the process. 
 I would recommend them highly!

Ian and Mike were everything you'd expect from the Angie's List service, professional, punctual and polite.  My Mom had met the guys and opened up the house for them.  From there they coverered all the furniture took up very little space with their equipment.  They knocked the job out with no drama or fuss and in the time frame they told us they would take.  We had a small miscommunication about something but after one phone call (that was promptly returned) the problem was resolved.  Ian is sincere in what he tells you and cares about his work and your opinion.  If we could scratch up more cash to fix more problems we would call ISC in a heartbeat.

The price was competitive.  There were complication that arose and choice had to be reinforced.  I had to get a permit for plumbing and stuff. 

These guys were awesome. My bathroom had been repaired very cheaply by the previous owners, and you could tell they cut corners wherever they could. Ian and his guys did a great job dealing with the existing problems, and although there were a few unexpected issues, they dealt with them very professionally and handled the setbacks with ease. Also, it turned out that the items I bought from Home Depot and Lowes were pretty of poor quality (my cheap sink/vanity combo was a mess and the tiles I bought ended up being all different sizes) but they were able to work with them and made my bathroom look great! On top of all of this, they were all really great guys, you could tell they really care about their clients and the work they do. I plan renting my place out by the end of the year, and I will definitely call Ian if I ever need work done.

They came and gave me an estimate which was very reasonable.  We scheduled the work for a day I would be home and they were all very pleasant and cordial.  The work was done very well and in a timely manner.

Ian did an outstanding job with moving a laundry room to the second floor.  I have a 100 year old house and nothing was a problem for him.  I trusted him to leave a key everyday while I went to work.  He came in, did the work and left the work area in a clean condition.  The best was the end product, he gave me exactly what I was looking for.  Yep, I got more for him to do, like I said I have a100 year old house.

Ian did a great job working with the no so perfect floors created by the original builders and now the house looks fabulous.  The job was done quickly and professionally.  I would recommend to others in a second (and have).
