+ -1 moreThis was a great experience, start to finish. Doug was incredibly helpful, honest, and fair. The outcome was better-looking than I had expected, because I've seen what some other gate/mesh doors look like. I had been putting this job off for a while and it was such a relief to have it handled so well and easily. I will be using Doug for all wrought iron jobs in the future. He has a wealth of experience and is up front with advice.
Description of Work: Doug revised a gate door so that it would fit into an opening from which our previous door had been stolen. He installed a new lock, installed a meshwork to prevent break-ins, and retrofitted the hinges and latch. He also repainted the door.

He completed the job a day earlier than estimated to my delight. The work was excellent. Doug was very professional and affable. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
Description of Work: Repaired and installed wrought iron door, stair rails and entrance gate.

+ -1 moreDoug, from Herman Iron Works, came to look at the job and made several attempts to return at a convenient time to do the work of adjusting a very heavy iron gate at our condo association entrance. He discussed a number of alternative approaches to this repair and helped me decide what would best suit our needs. This job had needed to be done for many months, and two other iron works companies had failed to come through. Now the gate swings shut smoothly and clicks quietly closed.
Description of Work: Herman Iron Works adjusted a very heavy iron gate that had become very difficult to close because of its loosened frame and hinges.
