Tom's work is excellent. He takes pride in his craft and takes time and care to do things well. He has a great demeanor and is very easy to get along with. I have worked with him on more than 5 projects and have always found him to be responsive and professional.
Description of Work: Tom Haywood renovated our kitchen and built a deck. As a designer, I've worked with him on a number of other renovation projects where he has done framing work, trim and doors, tile, wood flooring, decking, and a variety of other carpentry work.

Haywood Remodeling installed new cabinets, new floor, new dishwasher, lights, and all the plumbing and electrical work. Dispose of all remaining debris Great job.
Description of Work: Remove and disposal of existing cabinets, and tile floor. Haywood Remodeling removed my existing Granite without breaking and replace it on the new cabinets .They save me about four thousand dollars. All the contractors that came to my home wanted to charge me the amount of money in their estimates that new Granite would cost.

Fantastic! Tom is a wonderful carpenter and general all-around craftsman. We employed him 2 years ago to help us with a book case idea for our large, open living room. We told him what we wanted and he was exceptionally creative with his process and the finished product is beautiful. (Check out www.apt30design.com to see the end result). He is very modest and flexible. He is primarily a carpenter, and when he reached the limit of his expertise he had no problem calling other craftspeople he knew to come help him finish the job right. He enlisted a master electrician and plumber to help finish the work in our house, and we couldn't be happier with the results. Over the years, we have continued to call him to help with minor projects around the house, such as repairing the water damage in our baby's room that was incurred by a skylight that was leaking. We eventually had to have the skylight (and the roof) replaced. Tom is always a pleasure to work with, easy-going, cheerful, creative and very talented. I have no hesitation in referring him, and have referred him to several friends and family whenever they need the services of a carpenter/interior contractor. The only critique I had was that the job did take a little longer than originally planned, but Tom custom cut, stained and assembled every shelf, and cut into our walls 32 times to install the shelves! (8 shelves, attached to 4 studs each). The result is beautiful bookshelves that hold 250 lbs a piece and look like they are growing right out of the walls, his wall repair was that seamless. My husband and I were happy to have the job take a little longer for such exceptional quality.
Description of Work: Built and installed set of 8 long and 4 short floating bookshelves with lights, floating picture shelves, installed custom library ladder, found plumber who installed new pipe leading from bathroom to outdoor space and spigot outside and redid master bath plumbing. Also 2 years later repaired interior water damage from a leaky skylight (skylight original with house - not Tom's fault).

He is very thorough. He knows what he can do and what he can?t do. His prices are very fair. He is not that fast, but it is great quality. The floating bookshelves were a big project. He is great and I recommend him to other people.
Description of Work: He was a carpenter who did some amazing work for us. He made two sets of floating book shelves and a custom built ladder for one of the shelves. He also built pictures shelves for us that are 8 to 10 feet long. He finished a painting job that was left incomplete by another contractor.
