My drain in driveway was clogged. After calling a few different plumbers for estimates, Goodman gave the best price and was able to come out the same day! Two techs (brothers) arrived promptly, explained what the problem was and what was needed. They finished the job and gave recommendations/suggestions how to maintain pipes and prevent clogs in the future. Their website even had a discount on drain cleaning (for A.L. customers). I will definitely use them again the future!

Our toilet tank cracked and all the water (4 gallons) gushed onto the floor of our 2nd floor bathroom - on the Sunday afternoon of Memorial Day weekend. It was a disaster and we had little hope of getting it replaced quickly! I went onto Angie's List and started calling plumbers. Goodman was the 1st (and only) to respond that day. They called me back immediately and sent 2 plumbers to our house within 2 hours! Stan and George were quick, professional, courteous, and answered all our questions. We had a brand new toilet in no time at all. I will definitely be using Goodman Plumbing again!

This is the second time in two months that I needed a plumber. This time my water heater needed to be replaced. I recently had a good experience with Goodman Plumbing so I called them back for this job. Billy and Anthony showed up on time and prepared. Billy was respectful and pleasant as always. He didn't try to insult my intelligence about what I was being charged for and clearly described the work he intended to do. He quoted me a reasonable price of $885.00. I suppose another plumber might have been slightly less expensive but because I was familiar with Billy's work it was well worth it. The job took less than 3 hours and they only needed to shut off the water off for a few minutes. I experienced no inconvenience while they were here and before I knew it, they were done. The next time I need a plumbing job done, I will call Goodman Plumbing again and ask for Billy.

They were very, very professional. The price was a little bit high.

We had a sewer pipe leaking into our basement, suddenly, on a Saturday. I looked on Angie's List and found Goodman and they were incredibly responsive--I called them on Saturday and they gave me the option to have emergency service or not (on the following day, a Sunday) and were very upfront about the fee. We opted not for emergency service, but they were nonetheless very responsive and flexible, able to conform to our schedules for work and to get the work done with a minimum of inconvenience (it's our only toilet...! So we had to vacate the house for a night). The several guys who worked on the job were extremely polite, courteous, and professional, not to mention thorough. They pointed out several issues we hadn't known we had, but there was never any "hard sell" at all--and this was much appreciated. As for the work, it was an external pipe (and an old house) that required the plumbers to dig a four-foot deep hole in our patio/backyard to get at the pipe. They filled the hole in really nicely and cleaned up, even putting our table back where it had started out. They also installed a utility sink in the basement (for a discount, since were were spending so much), and re-did the gas line to replace a very old and rusted pipe. They also discovered and fixed a gas leak in our basement and re-attached our (gas) stove to the gas line, since it had been done improperly at installation. What was particularly noteworthy was that when they noticed that the shut off valve on the gas line was corroded almost to being useless, and might have required them to call the City to dig and shut off the gas while they worked--they didn't just gravitate towards this solution (which would have been VERY expensive for us!), but rather found a workaround that let them keep the job at a reasonable price. We are very grateful! This was an expensive job, yes, but it would have been with any company! The service was great, and the job well done; I'd definitely call Goodman again if I had another problem.

We needed a hook-up for water meter, which was stolen sometime before we purchased the rowhouse. Previous owners had replaced the stolen copper with PVC, and connected to the street service without allowing for piping for a meter, in addition to patching around that connection with concrete, so that the type of connection to the street couldn't be verified. Maurizio from Goodman Plumbing was the second plumber to give us an estimate, but he made the process of getting a new meter sound much less complicated than the first plumber did. He also did not soft-pedal what it would involve if he got into the wall and found that the connection to the street was lead instead of copper. We made the arrangement for him to come back and do the work as soon as he gave the estimate. On the scheduled morning, I was running late, and offered to let him go on to his next job, but he said just to call when I got to the property. Due to incredibly good luck with South Jersey and Philadelphia traffic, I arrived only about 15 minutes after expected, called him, and he was there within 10 minutes. Good news when the wall was opened - copper not lead (yeah!) - and the work was all completed within an hour or so and at the original estimate. His helper made sure water was flowing everywhere in the house (it had been winterized), the bill was easily taken care of with a credit card (they accepted the $50 Angie's list coupon) , and we were done.

When I came home one night, saw water on the floor of our laundry room where the water line comes into the house. Asked my wife if she had spilled anything and she said no. Upon further inspection, saw water dripping from one of the pipes. So I shut the water off and started looking for a plumber. Goodman's services my area and has good reviews, so I gave them a call in the morning (7:00 AM). The person who answered my telephone call was very polite and professional. He said he could have someone out sometime in the morning and the plumber arrived before noontime. He was able to see the issue and made the repair without any issues. He was also very professional and personable. I have no issues with the work that was done and will call again when we have another plumbing issue.

I noticed that my hot water heater was leaking, knowing it was quite a few years old i knew I needed o do something. I called Goodman plumbing to come out and give me an estimate for repacing it. Not only did they show up when they said they also saved me from a larger problem. It seeemed that my pipes going to the heater were very old and thin and nearly rotted through. Not only did I get a new water heater I was saved from a flood! The workmen that showed up were very polite nice and respectful of my home. The men were very nice and did a wonderful job. They got the old water heater to the street and cleaned up wonderfully. I will be sure to call them again should I need a plumber and would definatley recommend them Thanks guys great job!!!

I had a few plumbing companies came out and give estimates for the work to be done. Billy from Goodman Plumbing was the most impressive. He was very knowledgeable, responsive to all my questions, and most of all he gave me honest answers. He demonstrated exactly how he would address each task and how long it would take to complete each of them as well as present options for the different types of products available to complete the job. Unlike some of the other plumbers that bid on this job, Billy never insisted on performing any unnecessary work or on installing extras that were not required. He gave a verbal estimate that was reasonable and wrote the price on the back of his business card. Normally, I would have preferred a written contract with an estimate spelling out the details of the work involved along with the cost, but since I wasn't asked for any money upfront I felt the verbal estimate was adequate. A few days later after reviewing a few more plumbers, I called Goodman Plumbing to schedule the job, and I was glad that I decided on them. Billy and Sean came out to do the specified work. They arrived in the morning as scheduled. They were both courteous and worked well together. The work went smoothly and they did not waste any time while doing their job. There were no surprises and they kept their work area clean. Before I knew it, they had everything completed, cleaned up and presented me a bill for the price that we originally agreed on. I was pleased with their work. They installed a valve under my kitchen sink that allowed me to shut off the outside water from inside the house eliminating the need for me go under the crawlspace twice a year to turn the outside water supply off and on. They removed and replaced the the downstairs bathtub drain and broken stopper with a new one, and they also repaired the upstairs toilet that wasn't flushing properly. Because Billy knew exactly what he was doing before he started the job, he was able to give accurate and honest estimate of what the work would cost as well as the time it would take to complete. When they preformed the work, these two did not need any type of supervision at all. They knew exactly what they were doing and how to do it. They were professional and took care of my home as if it were their own while they worked. I will not hesitate to call them in the future should I need a plumber.

Immediately after buying a new home, our shower and tub plumbing went. When the tub faucet was on, the shower head would run. When the shower head was on, the tub faucet would run. And neither would provide full pressure. I called Goodman plumbing and had them come out for an estimate. Upon arrival, they saw that what looked like an access panel, was really just decorated drywall and there was no access to behind the tub. They cut access in the drywall and then installed new high-quality fixture. Everything works great now. Told them I'd have them come back to fix an leaky exterior faucet in the next few months. Work was professional and fast. Everything was done in a few hours.

I had a leak in my ceiling. I called Goodman Plumbing and they came out right away. The plumber (George) said the leak was coming from my toilet and needed to be replaced. George replaced my toilet and flange within a short amount of time. He was polite and professional. Overall he did an excellent job and even gave me prices for faucets I want replaced in the future. I would DEFINITELY recommend this company to my friends and neighbors!!

Really great experience. Very responsive to my initial call and Billy came out to do the work - he was pleasant and knowledgeable and gave me various options to fix the faucet. When I decided to replace the whole thing, he identified something comparable to what was being replaced and was able to complete the entire replacement in one day. Very convenient and made the experience, which could have been really difficult, actually pretty painless.

They came out to fix the pipe in the basement and some pipe work upstairs, too. They did a good job.

I discovered water leaking into my kitchen from the bathroom above. I called Goodman and they sent Billy and his partner out the same day. They called when they were on their way over and arrived when they said they would. They were polite, efficient, and helpful. I liked how they described what they were doing and why and were not at all uncomfortable with me watching and asking questions. They even took the time to explain and describe things about how the toilet and pipes were set up that might cause future problems. Billy pointed out an old crack in my toilet tank that I hadn't even noticed and fixed the bolts holding the seat in place. Apparently they had been put on incorrectly. I definitely recommend Billy and Goodman Plumbing.

Positive experience from beginning to end. Initial phone contact was very professional. Service was performed and completed the next day. Plumber arrived on time. Everything was explained thoroughly, and small extra things (valve tightened and drain unclogged) were done w/out charge. Would most definitely use them again, and recommend to friends and neighbors.

Very responsive, and professional . We played phone tag and they were very tenacious . Their follow through let me know they really wanted my business, unlike the many contractors who didn't bother to return a phone call. What my money's no good for them?? Well it was good enough for Goodman, and I was able to use a coupon too. Very pleasant and professional business. Would certainly use them again- and oh yeah, THEY CAME OUT ON SATURDAY- YEAH!

The job went well. It was performed neatly, cleanly and professionally. The serviceman explained that he was running a little late from an earlier job. The fact that he arrived slightly after the window given by the scheduler was not a significant hardship. I do not know if the cost of the service was or was not comparable to other plumbers, I did not get other estimates. I am very happy with the work and would not hesitate in calling them again in the future.

This was a great experience from start to finish. The receptionist was personable and helpful, as were the plumbers themselves. They were respectful of our time and got to our house quickly. In fact, they even called to ask if it was ok to take on a drain clearing job first, which would make them a little less than an hour later than they had estimated. I told them it was fine and hung up. Then I looked up at my husband, who said, "They actually called to let us know they might be late? That's it, these guys are our plumbers for life!" I was equally impressed by their professionalism and knowledge on the job. They both struck me as honest, and they were easy to talk to. They didn't speak down to me, and they explained each step of the process. They got the job done quickly, well, and right on estimate. I'd highly recommend!

Went Great and will use again. They were my first experience with Angies list and the coupon offer they had ($50) more than paid my membership fee. They were on time and very courteous and friendly. All my questions were answered and he even helped me with an adapter for the dishwasher. The only reason I gave a slightly lower grade for response is because they took @2 days to return my initial request and installed the valve at an angle where I would have liked it vertical to save space once I connected the flexi hose. (Since I'm not a plumber, that might have been a requirement to torch the connection together, so I might be wrong there) The tapping sound was just the pipe behind the wall for the main drain. There was no leak, which was my concern, so the effort to just secure it differently wasn't worth tearing through the wall. It was more of an annoyance and was just looking for peace of mind that it wasn't something more serious...even Facebook'd my friends to recommend

Lucked into hiring them before joining Angie's List. everything went smoothly. They showed up on time, performed as promised and at the quoted price.

The first job I wanted to test them. I had dropped a pen the toilet and they had to fish it out. The second time that I called them, there was a major job. I had a major leak in the wall. They had to remove all of the tile and install an L shape pipe because the leak was all in the wall and leaking to the floor below. They put in all new equipment and it was excellent. They had to bring in a new team each day to do each task and all of them were wonderful, very polite and thoughtful and they cleaned up after themselves. They were immaculate. They originally asked for 50% down as a deposit and I wasn't comfortable doing so. Stuart worked with me on the deposit to make it something I was more comfortable paying. I also wanted to have a rack installed in the tub and asked for them to delay coming on one day so I could purchase the rack. They needed to come at their scheduled time but they ended up bringing a rack with them and installing it for me which I appreciated.

I had my maintenance person meet them, so iw as not there. My maintenance guy said things went smoothly, and I thought the price was fine.

i noticed I did not have any hot water on sunday and looked on angie list and called Goodman Plumbing around 8am. Stan called me back within 10 minutes and told me how to shut off the water to leaking heater.Two men came over to my house within the hour and replaced my leaking Hot Water Heater . I could not believe how fast they got it done and had hot water again before noon so I can take a shower and watch the football game.

Member Comments: While the work was done competently and successfully, the price was much to high. I had similar work done for half the price a few years before. I asked for an estimate for additional work and they seemed unaware of different types of zone valves and their estimate was double other's estimates. In addition, an estimate for a cracked waste pipe was 1,800 and I had it competed for 900

They arrived on time and the two men got right to work. They fixed the problem and cleaned the work space. The men who arrived Stan and George were great start to finish. This was my second time using them and I am once again pleased and could not ask for better service.
