I have used Goodman Plumbing now 3 or 4 times and each time they have been punctional, they have been friendly and have performed quality and affordable work. The owner is personally involved and if there is every a situation he is more then willing to discuss the issue with you. I would highly reccommend Goodman Plumbing for any plumbing needs.

Vince and Shawn not only helped me fix the issues that I had, they helped me prevent a great many more... the Insurance adjuster stated that my drain pipes were installed wrong (not pitched) and thereby causing water intake to the house. He recommended I re-route the gutter off the property and seal off the sewer drain. Vince and Shawn explained to him that the drain work was brand new, done right and that re-routing gutters are a code violation in Philly. They also explained septic and flooding issues that would result from the adjusters "master plan". Without their insight, I would not have known how wrong (I'm being nice here) the adjuster was -- at least until it was too late. When you are dealing with water damage, insurance companies and scared pets in your house after water intake, it's nice to have a service provider who is helpful. These guys were... and I'm happy I called them.

I had them come out several times. He was very good. He knew what he was doing. They are on Angie's List and I thought to give it a shot so I called them and first they did my hot water heater. I hadn't planned on doing the hot water heater, that just came up. They have been reasonable in price. They come within the window and they are always helpful.

This was the most drama free experience I have had in a long time. I called the number posted on the Goodman website on a Saturday morning and it was answered on the second ring by a very professional person. Tracy took my information and said that she needed to check with the plumbers out on the road and that she would call me right back and she did, within 15 minutes. She said that they were finishing up a job and that they could come to me next which would be within a few hours. I had heard that from other suppliers before so settled into a day of house cleaning while I expected to wait more than a few hours. Within an hour I got the call from Steve and Bill that they were on their way- and they were. I explained the problems that I thought I had, they evaluated it, made their recommendation, I agreed, they called into the office and got a quote (to which they gladly applied the Angie's List Coupon) and went to work. They were done within an hour, fixing some shoddy workmanship done by a previous plumber and alerting me to a crack to keep an eye on. This was an excellent experience and I would recommend this company to anyone- there was no hemming or hawwing, no up charge for the Saturday work, no attempt to make more work than they were asked to do.

I discovered that my water heater was leaking and contacted them that evening to get an appointment. Unfortunately they were booked but put me on their 'standby' list for the next day. The rep gave me a quote which included my Angie's List discount. I decided to check around with a couple of other plumbers but wound up calling them back to book the appointment. The rep advised that the appointment may be mid-afternoon. However, to my surprise they called early the next day and were there within an hour of calling. The job was actually finished within an hour too. I've used Goodman several times over the years and I've never had an issue. Overall I am pleased with the work that was done and give it an A rating. However, I would give the 'housekeeping' part a C rating. I live in a typical rowhouse where like most the basement is unfinished. So its basically used for storage and has cobwebs, etc etc. I feel that their clean-up could have been better. Although they took the old water heater they left behind materials from it (i.e. pipes). Also, they broke a dish that was being used to catch the dripping water, left footprints behind and I cleaned up oil that dripped from the old water heater (from the basement through the living room). They even opened a pack of paper towels (Bounty by the way!) and left the unfinished roll in the basement which is too dirty to use. I'm sure they needed it but a 'heads-up' would have been nice. The workers advised that they couldn't take the box from the new water heater so that sat in front of my house for a week because trash collection was the day before. Again, I am satisfied with the work. I know these issues probably seem minor to most but I would just recommend that they brush-up on their 'housekeeping'.

Excellent! We found a foot of water in our basement this morning and George and Jason came out on a moments notice and helped us clean up the mess. We needed to replace the hot water heater and sump pump but they had us back up and running in no time. This isn't the first time we've had the privilege of working with George and company. He has been out to help us many times with things such as gas line installs, bathroom reconstruction, and more. He is always a pleasure to deal with and makes the most troubling situations seem painless. We are extremely grateful for their assistance and responsiveness this morning. All went well. Did job in a couple of hours

Our hotwater heater began leaking on a Fri night. I used Angie's list to choose Goodman plumbing. They immediately setup an appointment for the next morning. Came right on time and by noon on Saturday we had a new good quality hot water heater at a great price...professional, friendly, overall great.

Went great. I was having trouble with my phone when he was trying to get a hold of me for our appointment but he kept trying. When we got to the property he looked it over, made a prediction as to where the clog was then opened up the main stack access and cleared. Worked great. And they provided me a warranty on the job.

I had a great experience with Goodman Plumbing! I called on Tuesday for a clogged bathroom sink and they were able to fit my schedule with a Thursday afternoon appointment. A clogged bathroom sink isn't exactly an emergency, so I was impressed they could fit me in so quickly. They gave me a time frame of 12 - 4 and our plumber showed up around 12:20 (after calling at 12 to tell me he was in the area and would arrive in about 20 minutes). He cleaned out our bathroom sink in no time and all and even showed me how to fix the running toilet myself (which I had not called about, but asked about when he arrived). Our plumber was polite, professional, and quick! He answered all of my questions without making me feel silly. $120 might be a little on the high side for a clogged sink, but I will gladly pay for good service. I would definitely use Goodman again!

They are superb. They really knock themselves out. When they say they are coming, they come and they come exactly. If the come twenty minutes early they apologize. They clean up after themselves. I cannot say enough good things about them. I have to do a selling job on my neighbor next door to use them but when she used them she said "God bless Goodman." I remember when they were putting in the tile for me; they have to schedule ahead of time and I wanted them to reschedule because I wanted to get a holder to over the bath tub. I was concerned with the opening hours that I could go there and get the equipment and have them install it. They said that it is difficult for them to change the hours that they scheduled for me so they brought the equipment themselves which I did not order from them but they just brought it, installed it and never charged me for that. They are really terrific. One time when I was having a new stove put in and I needed some knowledge I just called them and they came immediately. I didn't realize it but as the young man sat down I said to him that this company is really good; he just smiled and said that his father owns the company. They are terribly well trained.

I had attemped to reach the plumber I have used for several years but he did not respond to my call last evening. Today I went on Angie's list in search of help. I called Goodman plumbing. They were polite and even though it was 1 PM on Saturday, they sent someone to repair my broken sink pipe. I am very pleased and will definitely use this company again.

GREAT ! I called this morning and spoke with girl {very nice}. Told her the problem. She said {to my surprise} it looks like someone could come out today. within minutes i received a call from MIKE. Said he's on the way. The whole process took maybe an hour. the girl on the phone was very nice and MIKE couldn't have been nicer. excellent work,good price {coupon on angie's list for $50.00 off. price was $225.00-$50.00 {coupon}=$175.00. checked angie's list, called goodman plumbing and my problem was over in less than an hour and a half and all this on a cold saturday morning. plumbers are quite busy at this time. didn't think i'd be hearing back from them till sometime next week. will definitely be using them again.!!!!!!!!!!!! The plumbers arrived on time, explained to me what was wrong, and didn't charge me an arm and a leg for the service. They were very professional and kind, something you don't always find in Philadelphia.

Everything went well. They were able to find, fix and finish the job in about an hour.

Sewage water was backing up from a floor drain in my basement. Technicians (Jim and Jim) arrived when scheduled and called when they were nearby. Quickly assessed the problem and snaked the clog from the main drain outside of the house. Drain was cleared within minutes and tech explained cause of problem and gave recommendations to prevent the problem fro re-occurring. Angie's List coupon discounted price by $25.00.

I called on 2/22 at 7:59 am for a plumbing emergency (busted pipe) and was told that the tech would call be back to give me a time. The rep I spoke to said that they were busy which was understandable due to the weather. Received a call on 2/23 stating that a tech would call to let me know he was on his way . Sean and a second young man came quickly found the problem, gave me a good price and was off and running to fix it. Took only an hour.

I contacted the office in the AM and they had a contractor contact me to schedule an appointment to come that day (Sunday. He contacted me and the job was completed by the PM. He was very courteous, professional and on time. This is the second time I used them in an emergency situation. They were great!

On Friday or rather Thursday evening my pipes in the basement powder room froze and I woke up to zero water. I figured I'd wait and see if they thawed naturally as the day went on. Well...Around 3 or 4 pm I heard a noise and went downstairs to see water gushing out below the powder room door. What a mess! I called late in the day on Friday on the coldest day I can ever remember and I really had my fingers crossed that I could find a plumber to come out and fix my burst pipes. After cleaning up the best I could I called Goodman plumbing and was told they were very busy with service calls due to frozen pipes but they would try to come on Saturday. I didn't have high hopes I was very, very surprised to wake up on Saturday morning before 8am to a knocking on my door. It was Goodman plumbing! Apparently they had called me at 7:30 AM (!) and I didn't hear the phone. I am so glad I heard the knock. Two men came and they wasted no time finding and repairing the leak. The men found the burst pipe after having to tear apart the wall and ceiling. I think they did an excellent job. By 9am I had running water for a reasonable price. I was scared that the pipes outside my house were the culprit and was very relieved to find out that was not the case. For all the work they did the price was under $300. That is reasonable in my eyes. By the way, this was my first time using Angie's List. I've had a membership for a while but never had to use it till now. I'm glad I used it and found a good plumber.

I called on a Friday and the receptionist let me know that they were swamped due to the cold weather and plumbing issues. She said they could perhaps come out Saturday (next day) but given I was on a waiting list it may push to Sunday. I got a phone call the next day at 11:30am and they were over in 10 minutes. They diagnosed that the cause of the leak was from an HVAC issue. I have to call an HVAC company to resolve the leak. They were here for about 2 hours and charged me $125.

The service went wonderfully, they were very professional and when they left everything was cleaned up. They were very courteous and the owner came out to inspect the final product. It took no more then three hours to install water heaters.

We got back from vacation to a backed up sewer. We first had the County sewer service but they can only go to within 30 feet of the resident's home. We had to find someone fast. I got the February Angie's list Monthly and called them (I had calls in to 4 other companies). They answer the phone live and they were out quicker than they said they would be. In ten minutes the drain was clear. They stayed while we ran water, flushed toilets and made sure it was all clear. We used the coupon in the book and we were thrilled. I would recommend them to anyone with this problem.

Jim and his son Jim were scheduled to come by between 10am and 2pm, but due to the emergency nature of the call they showed up early, around 8:30am. They started right away, taking a look at the burst pipe and figuring out where it was coming from, which turned out to be the heater for the house (and the reason why we had no heat). He soldered the pipe which was set back in the wall, and then took a look at the heater. He tightened up some valves and got it back up and running. They were both very professional and knowledgeable, and we would absolutely use them again.

I called up Goodman Plumbing to see if they could handle an emergency pipe burst in the same day. They told me that they could and the a service technician would call before they arrive. The technician (Sean) called me within an hour of my initial call and said they he would be over in the next 15 minutes. He arrived on time, went into my crawl space, and fixed the problem. My water was back and up in running within an hour.
