Excellent service. Dwain came as scheduled to review the work and provide an estimate. I received a courtesy call prior to his arrival. Dwain was professional and helpful. John and another worker came to do the work as scheduled, again giving me a courtesy call prior to arrival. He and his partner were professional, friendly, respectful, and neat. They put down a drop cloth upstairs to keep tracking any dirt to a minimum - we really appreciated that. They gave us a good price on the job, and the job itself went as expected. We are quite pleased with the work and will recommend this company to others.

There are not enough words to express how wonderful John and Derek were. They did an amazing job replacing the cast iron waste pipe in my basement with PVC due to a large crack that formed. They were very personable and explained everything in great detail. If I have any future plumbing issues I will definitely be requesting these guys! Great guys and great work!

We found water in our basement one morning and saw that it was dripping from a drain pipe. We placed a bucket under the pipe to catch the dripping and then called Goodman, who we had used before and were satisfied with their service. Goodman was very responsive and would have come that day if we hadn't addressed the emergency with the bucket. Someone from Goodman came the next day and diagnosed the problem: a cast-iron drain pipe was very old and was not pitched correctly; over a long period of time, water sitting in the pipe had eroded it, causing the leak. Goodman replaced the pipe, solving the problem.

I originally called to have a clogged drain fixed. Before they could come out I had a burst pipe. When they arrived for the drain problem the burst pipes took the first call. They fixed the pipe and made an appointment to come out again for the clogged drain. Before the end of the week I had another burst pipe along with half of Philadelphia but they found time to come out again. Then two days later another burst pipe and again they found time to come out. This time one of the workmen said he smelt something from the heater and made me swear I would go get a sensor to check on fumes.....and set up someone to come out and check it out. I had to get a new heating system. They never pressured me to use them they just wanted me to get it done ASAP. So I did have them come out and put in a new heating system...they were very professional and helpful. Showed me how everything worked and it was warm in my house in 20 minutes. I feel that they all went above and beyond during a really tough time in the city with all the frozen pipes and they were working 24/7. I will be using them to fix the final pipe in my garage they suggest I have replace. They were truly a dream in a very rough time. Recommend them highly.

Perfect install and cleanup

Billy is an excellent plumber who is knowledgeable and experienced. I have used Goodman Plumbing for several years. They have performed plumbing and heating jobs and (except for one staff member) I have always had a good experience. They arrive within the window of time they promise and call before they come. Also, I have always had a pleasant experience with the person answering the phone as they are knowledgeable and helpful. Billy is easy to talk to, he will listen to your issues and tell you what he sees as the problem and what he needs to do to fix it. Today, Billy had to work on two separate toilets by replacing old broken flanges. I did not realize the Goodman plumbing remodeled bathrooms, so 2 years ago I hired a contractor to remodel two bathrooms. Recently, the toilets started to leak at the bottom, so I called Goodman Plumbing. Billy came, lifted the toilet and showed me that the contractor did not replace the 45 year old flanges. The flanges were rotted and broken, and should have been replaced. If I ever have a remodel that involves plumbing work, I will make sure Billy does the plumbing. I highly recommend Goodman Plumbing to anyone. You will be very happy.

It went well, and the people who did the job were courteous and professional. They were patient in explaining what was needed, although there was a snafu with someone losing the permit to dig up the front yard, which caused a delay on this work for two weeks. My other gripe is that they also have to break open the cement pavement to get the pipes, and the people they recommended (Stokes masonry), promised but did not come to do their job. I ended up finding a different contractor to get this completed.

They were excellent. I scheduled an appointment within a week. Since I live in South Jersey, I asked for a call 45 minutes prior to arrival to allow me enough time to the house. They did exactly that. Billy was able to diagnosis and fix the problem within 2 hours. I didn't have a printed coupon, but he honored it anyways. Would definitely use them again. Everything went smoothly.

Goodman was professional, prompt, and a pleasure to work with. We had them out to inspect our main water line for leaks before replacing our front sidewalk that was badly cracked and caving in. They arrived on time and the technician was courteous and professional. He explained everything clearly and showed me the entire line on camera. Thankfully he found no problems with the line and the price for the call was fair. Will definitely use Goodman again.

I had tried to replace the cartridge in the shower myself, but while trying to pull it out, I broke off the stem. After trying to get it out for almost a month, I finally decided it was time for a pro. Call Goodman, and they could not have been nicer. They were able to schedule me next day. When they techs got here, they looked at it, gave me a quote, and then offered to fix it immediately. Took about 5 min. When they were done, they cleaned everything up...even debris from me. I will definitely be using them again.

Billy came out and assessed a backdraft issue that had come up during a building inspection. He spent some time validating that there was in fact an issue and explained the problem. He then got right to fixing it then and there for a very reasonable price. He id a good job and answered all of my questions. I was very happy with the service.

Goodman folks were responsive and professional from my request for an estimate thru scheduling and completing the job. The two man crew who worked the job were the same. The estimate was similar to others I received for the job. Goodman left me with clean working upgrade. I had used Goodman previously to clear the house drain pipe and the experience was also positive.

It went well. Pat fixed the plumbing issue quickly and there was no stress. I called early that morning because the hot water in my guest bathroom shower was not working. I was told they would try to get to me that day, but no guarantees. Pat did come to my house that day (nice surprise) and he was able to fix the problem in a short amount of time. Pat was professional and courteous. He was just an all-around nice plumber!

Outside hose faucet was broken and could not be turned off. There was no shut-off valve on that line inside the house so the only way to stop the water was to turn off the main valve to the whole house. I found Goodman Plumbing on Angie's List and called. Within a couple hours George and Jason arrived and went to work. George explained the options and kept me informed as they went along. The job was finished in a short time and the water was back on with no leaks. Goodman's was responsive, professional and the price was reasonable. I would surely use them again.

When I called they were booked until the next day... and I scheduled service for then. A few minutes later the office called back letting me know there was someone in the area who could come by today, asking if that was okay. The workmen were there within an hour. They were professional, quoted a price before beginning, fixed the problem, and cleaned up. I was very satisfied with their work.

Called on the morning of May 14th and within a few hours, Shawn and Vince were out to our house. They were quickly able to locate a water leak in the basement ceiling and repaired it. We also requested an estimate for a new water heater and were satisfied with the price. We set a date for the following week to install it, however, they were able to get it the same day and replaced it shortly thereafter. They were courteous and cleaned up all of the drywall that had to be taken down due to the leak.

Contacted other plumber and they did not know when they could get a plumber to our house. Said they would call back. After 1 hour I tried another plumber. Contacted Goodman and the person who answered said she would call right back with an estimate when plumber would be available. Called within 5 minutes and said a plumber would be to our house within an hour. 30 minutes later the plumber contacted me and said he just finished last job and would be at our house in 30 minutes, which he was. Looked at what needed to be done and gave me an estimate which I accepted. Started job and finished quickly. Works perfectly.

They came really fast (within a couple of hours of calling). The office gave me no estimate on the phone, so I was mildly surprised that they charged me $300 for what was essentially 20 minutes of work; I assume there was a hefty surcharge for same-day service. However, the main problem was that the first time I washed a load of laundry after they left, I found they had reversed the hot and cold intakes, so that when I set the washer to cold to wash delicates, it instead filled with scalding hot water, shrinking my clothes. However, they did contact me afterwards with an apology and a partial refund so I suppose that these things happen from time to time.

The plumber did a great job, moved the stackable washer and dryer back in the right place, and ensured the gas was not leaking. He was on time and called 20 minutes before he showed up to let me know he would be there. The time frame was between 10- and 2 and he was there at 10:20. The plumber also kept us informed of what he was doing at each step of the process. He is friendly, respectful of our animals, and had a great sense of humor. I would definitely use him again for my next plumbing job.

We are happy with the quietness of the recirculation pump. It kept triggering our GFC electrical outlet during the first week of operation. The manufacturer of the unit insisted on our guy (Stan) coming to see the problem himself before they replaced the unit. It did not cause the problem again after his visit. However, we were without the benefit of the pump for 2 weeks after it was installed before Stan managed to give us an appointment to come back and check the unit. WE wanted "hot-on-demand", but we did not understand that we would lose constant hot water during a shower. This downside was not communicated to us well before hand, or if it was, it was downplayed more than the issue really evidences. This is the second installation of something WE wanted where we found out after the installation that there are things that customers do not like about the product. The first thing Goodman installed for us was a tankless hot water heater. WE LOST about 40% of our water power for a shower! If it were not so expensive, we would surely go back to a regular water tank just to regain the power during a shower. Needless to say, showers are not much fun in this house anymore. Stan was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. (He smokes) Could have been a little more cleaner, but acceptable efforts.

They promptly accomplished all tasks efficiently and to my satisfaction. The areas were left cleaned and neat. I would certainly use their services again.

They guy came in pretty much on time and knew exactly what to do. It didn't seem like he was confused at all. He went straight to work and took him only approximately 30-45 minutes.

I had a leak in my ceiling. I called Goodman and was able to schedule a time that was convenient for me with my work schedule. I was given a 4 hour window for arrival (8:00am-12:00pm) and was promised a call 1/2 hour before arrival. On the day scheduled for service, Jim called me at 7:45 am and arrived promptly at 8:15 am as promised. He arrived with his son, named Jim also. Both were quite polite and professional. JIm evaluated the concern and quoted me a price on the spot to diagnose the problem. He continued to diagnose the problem. He was able to see the issue and provided with options for the repair with the associated costs. He did not proceed with any repairs until he consulted with my first. He was able to complete the job to perfection without having to create a huge hole in my ceiling. The hole he had to create to access the pipes in the bathroom; he actually was able to create under the vanity (it is a custom vanity flush next to the wall). The job was completed both in a timely and efficient manner. I would recommend and use Goodman for future plumbing issues.

This is the second time I've used Goodman, and both times were a great experience. Sean was the primary on both jobs for the quotes and installs and he was a real pleasure--on time, personable, knowledgeable and meticulous. The first time he let us know of an Angie's List coupon and got us a discount, which was great. The second time I called the office to get a discount, which they happily accommodated. I thought their prices were reasonable as well and if I ever have more plumbing needs I will definitely use them again with no reservations. It was a good experience all around.
