Description of Work: I had sewer gas smell in my house. It was VERY bad in cold weather at night. The cause was roots growing in my outbound sewer line before the pipe meets the main sewer at the street. First plumber put camera down toilet pipe. He saw roots in the line. The plumber put the snake down the toilet and removed a lot of roots from the pipe going from the toilet to the street. The sewer gas smell is completely gone after that. Afterwards I put copper sulfate down the toilet to ****** future root growth. You can buy copper sulfate at a hardware store. First the snake has to be put down the toilet to cut and remove roots that have gotten into the pipe. Plumber also put a new wax seal on the toilet. The old wax seal was completely gone.

Description of Work: I have used Goodman Plumbing's services twice for big jobs, and several times for smaller jobs, they are always professional, knowledgeable, and reliable. The first big job was several years ago, we had been having a problem with the sink in my powder room. It started out as a very clogged drain, but this was new construction, so it shouldn't be clogged at all. The builders sent in their plumbers on many occasions, and they tried to fix it, but couldn't find the problem. They said they snaked it out to the street, and couldn't find a clog. Meanwhile, now my sink was unusable. Someone had recommended Goodman to us, they came out the next day, diagnosed the problem immediately, it was a cement clog near the curb, caused by the builders during construction, The ground had to be dug up, it was a huge job, I was afraid to see the estimate. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the bill was about half of what I thought it would be for a big job like this, and the price was as quoted on the estimate. My current big project was again misdiagnosed by a contractor, regarding a leak in my bathroom shower (he said it definitely wasn't the shower). From past experience, I knew to call Goodman, they came out, on time, checked the shower, confirmed that it was, indeed, the shower. there were 2 cracks in the cement shower pan, which went unnoticed by our contractor. Again, this is a big job, the cement shower floor has to be removed, and we feel that they gave us a good price for the job.

Description of Work: Unfortunately Goodman doesn't understand how to cater to large church facilities. Two of Goodman plumber representatives arrived on the scene on 12/21/17 but when examining our church situation the plumbers became disinterested because of the amount of work involved in bleeding our radiators. They were unlearned in older type radiators. To bleed these radiators the bleeding key is at the base of the radiator. However you can bleed individually from the top as well if you prefer. Goodman plumbers told me it would take 8 hours and $2,100.00 to fix a 2 inch pipe the length of two feet. Since I needed it done ASAP I asked them when can they start because I needed the sanctuary warm for Christmas service. Goodman said they were backed up and needed a week to address my concerns. Once they left I call a second plumber who arrive the following day 12/22/17 and opened the valve to drained the system and came back on Saturday 12/23/17 and fixed the pipe, changed the water pressure gauge and assisted with me in bleeding the radiators. It was this plumber who pointed out how to bleed our radiators from the base. His price was less than 1/2 of Goodman. Next time Goodman deals with churches I believe the owner should come do the estimate. My overall rating is a D to F. I asked Goodman why did they block off 4 hours to address my situation as I was told that 10am - 2pm was allotted for our situation. The plumbers (who arrived late) told me that the 4 hours was just for the estimate. Nonsense. ... Pastor Steve. Word of Faith, Philadelphia.
