Response from Goodman Plumbing Inc
In response to the customers review, the facts are we gave the customer an estimate to replace the sanitary stack from the basement to below the bathroom and to replace the hot and cold water lines from the basement to the bathroom. The work consisted of opening necessary walls in the living room. The estimate was given weeks before the work was performed. The Estimate was for $2,400.00 with a deposit of half down. The customer paid $1,150.00 deposit ($1,200.00 -$50.00 Angie's list coupon) and the balance was due upon completion. The contract was signed. All permits were obtained and the work was performed. The customer was also told that there was a serious electric problem in the wall that was sparking and we had to stop the work. The customer had the electric fixed and we returned another day to finish the contracted work. Once work was started and walls were opened we noticed and informed the customer that other plumbing work in above bathroom was cracked and needed to be replaced. I even offered to do part of it at no charge if customer supplied the tile. After doing more exploring the toilet and drain line were back pitched and we told the customer to get other estimates because of the large amount of work needed. All the contracted work was completed in August 2015 and the balance of $1,200.00 still remains unpaid by the customer.
