Description of Work: My husband and I recently noticed a small leak coming from a pump to our heating system. We usually called Sears for repairs since they had installed our central air unit but when we called them for service they had no idea how to help us, and they wanted to charge us $70 just to have someone come out to look at the leak. My husband and I signed up to Angie's list last year so we figured why not give it a try. We looked for local plumbers with a good reviews. When we called Goodman they took our information and said a repairman would call us right back. The gentleman not only knew the part we needed replaced he knew the brand name of it. The repairman was able to come out that day with the new part. He did a great job. Not only that but a week later we wound up having another small leak from a pipe and we were able to get the same repairman on a Friday afternoon. Description of Work: This was our first time using a plumber as we just bought a house. But they were professional and so far have solved the problem. We had a leaky tub, and they replaced the gasket around the overflow drain. Total was 90 dollars, but we had a 50 dollar off coupon. A one year warranty included, which is nice.

Description of Work: My copper pipe behind the drywall started leaking, I called Goodman, they came the same day, did the work in 2 hours, including the diagnostics, They opened the ceiling in the laundry room which wasn't the most convenient way to get to the pipe, but they wanted to save my newly renovated kitchen! They did a great job and even cleaned after themselves. It got better: i got a $90 credit for the previous visit when they came but didn't do the work as the repair was covered by the dishwasher manufacturer. I was able to apply it towards this repair. Very happy with them! Their prices are reasonable and the work quality is great!

Description of Work: Called Goodman to have gas line behind stove re-oriented. The technician showed up and was helpful and completed the job quickly. Would use them again.

Description of Work: I called Goodman on Weds explanned I was getting water in my basement and need someone to come out and check my drains. I told the girl on the phone that I was taking off on friday morning she told me that they would come out between 8 and 12 which kills your whole morning and really good part of your afternoon not knowing how long they would be there. When you take the day off and no one shows up and you call at 12 and the girl say she will have the plumber call as soon as he gets back to her. Why would I want to spend money with a company that couldn't call me and say he was running late and cost me money taking the day off to meet him. I DIDN'T HEAR FROM PLUMBER TO TO 2:30 AND HE ACTED LIKE NOTHING WAS WRONG. SAVE YOUR SELF THE TIME FIND A PROFESSIONAL COMPANY. NOT EVEN A SORRY!

Description of Work: I had leak in the cellar where the water line enters the house. This leaking had been spraying water all over the ceiling rafters, onto furniture that was stored in the cellar for at least two days before being discovered. I checked Angies List and selected Goodman. They returned my call in less than 10 minutes.....followed by another call informing me that plumbers would stop by in less than an hour....which they did! They assessed the situation explained what they would do their estimate was very close to the actual price. Customer service ... the two guys on the job...very well mannered, polite ... once completed...asked if I had any other questions for them. I will be contacting them again this week for a new job that is not an emergency. Highly recommend this service!!

Description of Work: I had a long list of plumbing jobs to be repaired as my house is older. Stan and George came out three times to my home and did an excellent job evaluating all the problems, estimating the repairs and explaining what had to be done. They were very knowledgable and thorough in reparing everything. Obviously they have LOTS of experience. They first cleaned the clogged kitchen drain, installed a new PVC pipe and kohler faucet as old one was corroded and not installed correctly by another plumber. They also installed a new laundry tub and faucet to replace an ancient one that was leaking.They repaired a valve on the hose faucet outside, the water box at street and values to main water shut off in the house. Lastly,they properly installed a new sump pump in my basement requiring the opening to be enlarged and adding crushed stone underneath the pump so it would operate properly. The old pump got clogged with mud ...as it did for years as it was NOT installed correctly by the builder and another plumber. Lastly, they had to drill through my basement cinderblock wall and install a new PVC pipe to reroute the water under my garden to the front yard and discharge through popup vent. My pump is working very well and the basement is dry. Pretty good considering all the rain. They came up with a creative approach to drain the water effectively. Great job.
