Description of Work: This is a company whose actions showed no pride in their work or craftsmanship- their goal was to do the least amount of work in the shortest amount of time. There were issues start to finish- Funchal's painting themselves texted to tell us to get a refund. The work was sloppy - from missed areas of power washing, to gloppy slipshod application that was patchy and uneven, to applying clear seal OVER bird poop after the wash (vs wiping it off), to leaving cans on the just stained deck resulting in rings. The offer itself was misleading- fine print does NOT say labor only and that sealing the deck doesn't include any sealant. Nor does it say the only application option would be by spray gun- coating our house and foundation with sealant. This meant we had to use clear sealer which has a shorter life expectancy than color- so lower quality/ less protection for us to save him time & effort. And even though our deck was 1/3rd of the area offered in the deal, he refused to paint by brush- and "finished" the job in under 40 minutes. He could have done every inch of the deck in less than a day by hand (this offer did not include rails or stairs) It was rushed work that looked terrible and we will have to stain over. As a result we have more expense and work to do ourselves. Also the minimal sealing he did apply was not sufficient weather protection - in sealing the floor he only did the horizontal surface, ie not the edges of the 2x4s so looking at the deck at eye level the wood floor is exposed to damage/ weather on the sides. Lastly he didn't even check the work with us before leaving- he just left. My only positive comment is he arrived on time and admitted the work was sub -par and offered a refund.

Also the reason for the low scores was that while drying my bathroom with a heat gun, the gun fell and started a small fire on my window molding. He was not very responsive to me wife's requests when she found things that where not done correctly.

Description of Work: Funchal'S Painting painted the trim in my kitchen. The trim had many nicks and blemishes and was in need of restoration. Mr. Funchal carefully sanded and filled the damaged areas and repainted the trim. We were very pleased with the result.

Description of Work: Nilton and his assistant were on time, did a fantastic job, and cleaned up after themselves. I would absolutely hire them again!!!

Description of Work: After viewing the walls and ceiling, Funchai concluded that the walls and ceiling needed a lot of work before a professional level of painting could be done. So I decided to cancel until walls and ceiling could be properly prepared for painting.

Description of Work: Repair walls and ceilings and painted. Also power wash and paint deck railing.

Description of Work: The painters painted a small room with doors and trimmings ,which were not included in the price. However they told me that in advance so I wasn't surprised. They were given short notice. The heavy bedroom furniture could not be easily moved.
