hardwood floor
 + -1 moremr. waring never came back with a contract. days later he came to my home unexpected in the early morning. this was unexpected as I was not prepared for mr. waring. he later on that day spoke to me via telephone and said that our relationship would affect him doing the job, therefore he would not do the job because we are not a good match. mr. waring hung up the phone in mid sentence of our conversation.
Description of Work: he came and gave me a price for the floors to be laid at the time of our appointment. mr. waring said that he would come back with the contract for the job to be done. he was to install a 99 square foot floor with brand new hardwood floors to be laid over my hard wood floors that were too damaged to be refinished. in addition he was to install baseboards and paint the room for finishing touches.

 + 0 moreI was very pleased with the work and Fred's handling of it. The work was done well, Fred was timely, reachable and very pleasant to deal with, and performed the work in the time frame that he told me it would take. It was also very reasonably priced. I would certainly be glad to call on him again if the need arises.
Description of Work: Fred refinished a section of flooring in my house - sanding down the surface of the hardwood and laying 3 coats of polyurethane on it.

 + -1 morePROFESSIONAL JOB FROM BEGINNING TO END, FRED WAS FRIENDLY, COURTEOUS, METICULOUS, AND EXTREMELY THOROUGH! HE IS A SUPERIOR CRAFTSMAN! OUR NEIGHBORS HAD THEIR FLOOR DONE BY ANOTHER COMPANY AND WAS SO DISSATISFIED THAT THEY HIRED FRED TO CORRECT THE OTHER COMPANIES WORK. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE.
Description of Work: FRED AND HIS TEAM REMOVED CARPETING FROM OUR DINING ROOM AND LIVING ROOM. THEY PULLED EVERY NAIL, SANDED THE OLD TONGUE AND GROOVE OAK FLOOR (2 TO 3 TIMES!). HE ALSO CUT AND STAINED 1/4 INCH ROUND TO COVER THE GAPS BETWEEN THE FLOOR AND BASEBOARDS ALL AROUND THE PERIMETER OF THE EXPOSED AREA. THEY CAME BACK THE NEXT DAY TO PUT ON THE FIRST COATS OF VARNISH, AND THEN ON THE FOLLOWING DAY FOR THE FINISH COAT.

 + -1 moreTHIS WAS A BIG PROJECT. IT TOOK A WHILE TO COMPLETE. THEY DID A GOOD JOB. THEY EVEN MOVED THE FURNITURE AND REPLACED A DAMAGED BOARD.
Description of Work: THEY STRIPPED, SANDED, RESTAINED, AND RECOATED MY HARDWOOD FLOORS IN 3 LARGE ROOMS.
