First Class Home Renovations

The job went extremely well even in spite of it being bigger and more complicated than we ever anticipated. Our 50-year-old house was poorly renovated before we bought it, and Frank and his his team did a great job dealing with all the issues that cropped up during the project, plus accommodating our many requests. He was extremely responsive to all of our issues and questions, the quality of work was excellent, and the pricing was a terrific value. We would definitely hire him again.

Both the owner of the the company as well as the workers were professional and proved willing to work with our complicated schedule. I had considered attempting to do this job myself to save money, but the level of quality they provided was worth paying the extra money. This company was not the cheapest in terms of estimates we got, but they seemed to be incredibly confident in their ability to do the job right. Other companies made a point to tell me it “may not turn out” how I wanted. First Class assured me they could do the job correctly, and this certainly turned out to be the case. I would highly recommend them for interior remodeling, including finishing basements in old row homes.

It went as smoothly as it could go. The estimate was accurate and detailed, and the work is flawless.

In summary the experience was fantastic. They were incredibly responsive during the entire process and had a fast turn around on every task. Their team was not only nice, but they were mindful and efficient - I got home from work on the first day to the entire space by my kitchen in plastic to protect my items, when they left every day they cleaned up after themselves, when they left at the end the cleaned the cabinets, floor, even my stainless steel appliances. Frank kept in close contact with me during the whole project and any questions I had were responded to within 15 minutes. At the end of the project I noticed that one of the team members forgot to patch and item and contacted Frank....the team member was at my door the next day to finish the task --- when I got my bathroom done using another contractor I had to BEG for months for the final items to be closed out. During the project Frank was helpful telling me what could be done vs. not in my budget and worked miracles to give me the most beautiful kitchen - I literally stand in it every day and stare at everything. Finally the final bill was almost exactly what we agreed to, there was a slight increase due to the addition of a pretty complex light fixture that we hadn't discussed previously - I surprised him with it about 3 days before the end of the project not realizing it was going to be quite as complex as it ended up being. Sure enough he scheduled his electrician to come out and fix it for me so that I could use it. I've heard a lot of bad stories about contractors from friends and family members and honestly can't speak highly enough of these guys.

Frank was very responsive and great to work with but he was already booked up and I. Wedged the work done right away. I would call him again as he seemed very professional!

Frank and his team's work was excellent from start to finish. Frank's bid was quick, competitive, and highly transparent. And the final price for the job was exactly what he bid. The remodeling itself was stunning, and precisely as we discussed, with no surprises. His workers were also quite friendly and helpful in explaining some of the finer points of the job. Throughout the process, Frank fielded numerous texts and emails from me about the nature of the work, the timing, and the appropriate tile, fixtures, and so on. He was extremely courteous and helpful. Would definitely recommend to anyone taking on home remodeling work.

I got three different quotes and met with three different contractors, and Frank was the most professional and knowledgeable. He seemed trustworthy from the start and delivered on all that was discussed in the initial consultation! The kitchen was completely gutted and Frank and his team did a phenomenal job. They paid attention to detail, were polite and professional, and communicated well throughout the projects! I felt safe with them working and coming and going from my home because I felt like they were genuine humans who treated it like their own home. As a single female, that was important to me! There was careful planning from the start, and Frank talked me through every step of the process. Everything seems to have been done very well.. after living/cooking in it for a month I have no issues. The kitchen turned out beautifully and I could not be more happy with the results! I plan to hire Frank and his team again for some other projects around the house. I would highly recommend him and really have nothing bad to say about my experience. Excellent customer service and craftsmanship. The team accommodated our tight timeline between tenants, and fixed some additional electrical issues beyond the original scope of work.

The First Class guys responded quickly to my inquiry, and were able to get someone out to do the window replacement they day after getting my estimate. The replacement was completed quickly and looks really good. I'm quite happy with the result.

Frank called right away and work went smoothly. We work full-time so the team came and went independently. No worries!

Frank and his team did a great job with a bunch of minor items at my rental property. They replaced a bathroom faucet, redid some wiring in the dining room light, rehung a kitchen cabinet door and tightened a metal staircase railing. When they needed some extra parts Frank picked them up himself and kept in close communication the whole time so I could approve any expenses. I really appreciated being able to get all these jobs done through one company instead of running around.

Frank came out and looked at my job. He then had his plumber, John Szollose come take a look. I have not decided to have the work done yet. Frank and John were punctual, polite, and knowledgeable.

First Class doesn't do the kind of work that I needed done (major structural work - replacement of exterior wall), but he called around for me to see if he could find someone else available to do it. He had no reason to do that (since I wouldn't be hiring him) but he did it anyway because of niceness! Thanks!!

Frank and his team did a great job sticking to the quote but being flexible when we requested additional work to be done while they were working, therefore adding onto the quote. Their work was done very well in an extremely timely manner, and Frank's communication skills were the best experience with a contractor that we have had to date. We will definitely be using First Class Home Renovations again!

Frank was extremely professional and did a great job installing a new front porch. He was very communicative throughout the process and always kept me in the loop.

I thank my lucky stars the day I had Frank and Craig take a look at the small shabby bathroom in my old house. Others had given me quotes to gut it and redo it for a small fortune, dismissing my concept to retain some of its features and work a new design I had in mind. Frank listened, offered practical solutions and a price I could afford. It was a challenging job, tight spaces, complicated roof exits, the works, but they persevered. Now it’s my favorite room in the house. I picked the tile for the floor & shower, the sink, light fixture & medicine cabinet. Frank & his crew did the installation. I highly recommend them. Some of the work was difficult due to all the irregularities in our old home (slopes in our floor, cabinets that were smaller than standard size, etc.). The contractors did a great job and had solutions for everything they came across. They don't cut any corners and genuinely care about the final product. On top of all that, they are good at getting everything done in a timely manner. I would definitely hire these people again.

I'm definitely satisfied with the result - the room looks a lot better than it did and just as good as I hoped. Frank communicated well and discussed our options. His crew managed to contain 99% of the mess (which is really great considering how much dust this kind of demo and drywall work creates) and cleaned up, so the rest of my home was virtually unaffected. His guys also talked to me about the process and asked me questions about some of the details, which I appreciated. The room looks great, the recessed lights he suggested are excellent, and the cost was reasonable for the type of work and our area.

Quality workmanship and great communication would sum up this job for me. I had a plumbing problem that caused the floor under the ceramic tile to rot. When I called Frank he came to check out the problem, and sent me an estimate by the end of that same day. When the work was started we found out that I also had a faulty shutoff valve that needed to be replaced.Frank notified me right away as to what the additional charge would be, a price that seemed very reasonable. The next day was a 90+ degree summer day and Dave had to work in very hot conditions. He worked non-stop throughout the day inside and out and never even took a break. I believe his goal was to finish the job by the end of the day; but even by the end he never acted rushed to get out of here, and took the time to make sure he paid attention to the last details to make sure the job was done right. Dave seemed to be someone who takes pride in his work and even though it meant a long hot day for him, believed in getting the job done right the first time. I found the communication with Frank throughout the process to be excellent. After the initial phone conversation and walk through, we communicated mostly through email and texting when needed. One specific time, he notified me that they were running a little late, which allowed me to run out and get something done myself. I appreciated that he respected my time as well. So again, to summarize this job, I would say, great communication and quality workmanship.

Frank made scheduling his visits very easy and he and his crew always arrived on time. They were very careful with keeping the area in front of the house clean, and the area was spotless when they left. He consulted with us several times during the course of the work just to be certain that things were being done to our satisfaction. We felt a if he took as much care painting our home as he would have painting his own. This feeling was very reassuring. We are delighted with the new "face" of our home- thank you Frank. This is by far the best experience that we've had with a remodel. These guys showed up on time and finished on time which is huge when it comes to having a bathroom remodel. They were clean and courteous to the neighbors. They took all of the trash with them when they were finished too. The bathroom looks great.
