Finely applied Plasters

Finely Applied Plasters (Robert Medina Jr) was supposed to rebuild the front facade of a house I recently bought. Robert seemed like a nice guy and offered to rebuild the front wall using a wood frame and the dryvit stucco like material, and gave me an estimate of 11,000. I was pleased with the offer and gave Robert a deposit of 2,000 and we scheduled a date to start to project. When the day arrived to begin the demo, Robert told me had a another job that week which he had to prioritize over my job, even though he had informed me that he would hold my job as first priority no matter what. I was upset but decided to wait till the next week in which he did not begin the work and was avoiding my calls. Finally he informed me that due to complication with the city license and inspections department, he would not be able to perform the work. When I asked for my deposit back, he argued that the 2,000 was rightfully his because he drove out to my place three times and had an architect draw up plans (Which weren't even necessary in the first place!). In the end, I never got my money back, but I did hire a qualified mason to build the wall out of brick and block for the same price, which looks nicer and is much more structurally sound. So if you're looking for looking for some jerk to waste your time and money, Robert is your man.
