Mother's kitchen had pink stove and other 70's looking features when she purchased it. The laundry was a stack unit in the kitchen that we moved to an area outside the bathroom. The electrical was upgraded, all new cabinets, flooring, etc. installed. Created pass through to open up kitchen to main living area. This was in a large studio condominium in a building with a lot of fussy older people. We did not get one complaint from management or other residents. Everything went smoothly. I had previously had FFB do my bathroom and open up the top of the stairwell in my townhome and they since did my mother's bathroom and also corrected a serious structural issue for my neighbors that was created by the developer that renovated their home prior to moving in. I am hoping to have FFB do my kitchen in the next 12 months. They are very good contractors. Probably not your cheapest bid but they do things properly and you will not have problems going forward with their work.

Everything went excellent. I had a yard with grass and needed it to be cemented.Family and Freiends wre on time both days and completed the work.They did an excellent job. I am considering getting more work done from them{ asecurity door).

We had couple of people come out and give us quotes for our work. Then the weather got cold and we just didn't get the work done yet. So now we are putting it off until late June. The guy from Family & Friends Builders who came for the quotation was really nice. He came out and he was really great. I think his mom is the one that runs the office and stuffs, so she was nice to deal with. We would have used him by now had it not started snowing. He showed up when he said he was going to so he could set up an appointment. He was on time. He knew what he was talking about. I would definitely use him once the weather gets warmer.

From bidding to installation, the entire process was prompt and professionsal, and the finished product was of craftsman quality.

This was an excellent experience. When I first contacted Family and Friends, the manager, Elizabeth said that it might be awhile before they could do the work, but that it would be worth it. She was absolutely right. They showed up on the agreed upon date, did the work for the estimated price (threw in a couple of extra handyman jobs) and they built us an extremely beautiful bookshelf. We are writers/professors/readers, so this is dreamy for us. I also want to stress that the builders and painters who came to do the job were extremely professional, friendly and trustworthy. Overall, this was a great experience.

They seemed fine, the price was a little higher than I expected but I don't think it was out of line. They seemed pretty professional, but we didn't move forward because the price was higher than we expected. They were higher than some other estimates I got, but for what they are I don't think they were out of line.

Called to request estimate. Never got a call back...called again, was told it would be two week before they could send someone to come out. I guess they didn't want or need the work. Went with another more responsive and professional outfit.

They were nice. The secretary told me that she would email me names of the vendors, but she couldn?t do that as she had some problems. Their estimate was a little too high, so I didn?t go with them.

I was selling a property and needed work done asap. F&F were very responsive and worked with me to get the work done very quickly and efficiently. They are organized, punctual and communicate very well.

Personnel from the company came with a small crew each of the scheduled days and completed the scheduled work each day as planned. Day one was demolition and prep; day two was pouring and finishing concrete; day three was carpeting. They worked around other contractors. They returned to correct minor problems as requested. Men were professional and polite. Office staff was helpful and polite.

Family and Friends completely remodeled our kitchen and bathroom. They were very reasonably priced and completed the work in a reasonable amount of time. The quality of their work was good but not perfect. There are things that are slightly crooked. But maybe I am the only one who notices.... I would definitely hire them again. Billy, the owner, was really great to work with...

We didn't end up using them because the job became less of a priority for us. He explained everything that he was going to do. He pointed out some issues with the construction. He was very detailed and informative. The job would only have taken a day. He explained the price and everything.

I was a little disappointed in the quality of the hand railing and probably will not be using them again.

They were pretty close to on time as far as construction went. We?ve used them for numerous projects. They do a great job. They are reasonable in price and process.

We have used Family and Friends for a variety of jobs, including starbolts/repointing, redrywalling bedroom, taking out a built in ac unit and patching, but this was our first BIG job with them. They did most of the work while we were away on vacation for a week. Handled setbacks like finding and installing smaller toilet when the one we purchased didn't fit and ripping down entire ceiling during demo because it wasn't sturdy. Job ended up taking longer than usual (you never know what you find when you start ripping into the walls of a 100 year old house) but they never came back and asked for more $, even when they had to do more than was on original estimate. We love our new bathroom and they just started a redo of our kitchen, they are doing AWESOME on that so far. Only criticism is that they can get BUSY so there can be a wait to start work, or Billy has shown up late to estimate a few times. But once a job starts rolling they show up every day consistently.

Family and Friends Builder transformed an old shell property to a beautiful house. ?They are responsible, punctual, trust worthy, full of creative ideas, and do excellent job on schedule. ?They always responded quickly and professionally to all of our requests and questions. Liz and Billy are great to deal with. ?They are honest and straight forward. ?Since this was such a big job, by the end of the project, we felt like family and at the very least like friends! ?Billy saved us a lot of money too. ?He is willing to upgrade with the materials that he bought at discount and pass the savings on to his clients. We were able to upgrade some doors, a window and also our shower stall floor with river rock stone that looked gorgeous!? The house looked so attractive that we were able to sell the place in less than 3 months in this market, and that says it all!!

They stated that they would contact me about weather they could or couldn't come the day I scheduled them for an estimate. (typed by an Angie's List neighborhood specialist) Typed by member: I know I didn't give a 1 sentence report. I also would not spell "whether" as shown above. What is missing above is that no one contacted me from Family and Friends Builders after I first contacted them. Now, based on the company's response, it may be that whoever took my original call does not keep thorough records. It is also possible that my call came in a timeframe that E. Marnoch didn't research, since Angie's List called at their convenience and asked me to make a report on several companies I had researched previously.

Overall, I liked Family and Friends. The bathroom came out nicely, and the cost was less than other contractors. They were happy to do a few extra odd things around the house (for a reasonable charge). Office is very responsive. Phone calls answered fast. The job took a little longer than expected, but this happens with a lot of contractors. They wanted us to buy all the stuff. Paint, plaster, fixtures, tile, etc. This reassured me that I wasn't paying a surcharge on these items. Only bad thing, they didn't give us enough notice before the start date. We had to scramble to get the fixtures from the home improvement store.

Wonderful. This company is truly professional. They are skilled at everything they do.

From the moment I met Billy, (I call him the B Man, he doesn't know that is his nick name I gave him), I knew he was the man for the job. I expressed the same to my husband who echoed my feelings. He is a straight shooter, no nonsense kind of guy. He arrived on time, assessed the job, and gave me a fair price for the work. I'd like to add the fact that we were on a tight time line which he more than met. They demoed, and built a lovely powder room for me in a week! His workers are great to work with and very approachable. We asked them some many questions, and they didn't seem to mind at all. They all sang Billy's praises! Which is rare in this kind of business. Family and Friends I can't thank you enough for what you did for me and my family. I will be calling you again and referring you to others. As a matter of fact I have already referred them to my sister. Thanks again from the bottom of my heart.

They did a realy nice job overall, I would hire them again. The quality of their work was very high, and they were able to finish the job about on time.

I am very pleased with this company. I did get other estimates from companies in the yellow pages and contractors I used before. This company sent the owner of the business , not a salesperson to speak with me. Bill has over 30 years of roofing experience under his belt which made me feel very confident. The response time was quick which I was really happy with, because I had leaks that are causing interior damage. They scheduled my job 2 days after I called. They were very prompt and cleaned up really good. The contract I received was clear and concise. I liked the fact that they did not require any money up front. I also liked the fact that they had an office where I was able to speak to someone right away and ask Bill questions that were answered right away, as opposed to calling a cell phone with a voice mail. The men that came to work were very polite and everyone was really nice. They even re-attached downspout in the rear of the property at no charge that was not on the contract. I am very happy with the work they did and will recommend them to my friends. I am also going to get an estimate from them to do the interior work. Thanks Angie's list !!
