We appreciated the diagnoses of our needs. Previous dealer had a much more complex recommendation. Work was done on schedule, in reasonable amount of time. All personnel were polite, thoughtful, & helpful. Job seems to be well done. Only one complaint. They failed to move furniture back to original location.

I did not use their services this time. But, they are very professional and I appreciated their responsiveness- unusual for many vendors in my experience!

They're very easy to work with. They came by and took the measurements and noted that there would be some extra work involved in resquaring some of the wood frames and also some exterior stucco. About a month later, right on schedule, the crew arrived and got everything in neatly in one day.

Emerald Windows is an A+ company in all respects. Contact Paul Stone was knowledgeable and more than willing to answer questions in depth and return to work with me on several occasions before we settled on the job specifications. He carried samples of windows in his truck which made understanding the possibilities clearer than any of the other services I contacted. He made several cost-saving and aesthetic/structural suggestions and remained in constant contact via email (my choice of mode) not only during the planning period but also during the time lapse for Emerald to order and install. Paul's estimates we always clear and precise and he was more than cooperative in immediately emailing a new full estimate with any change we made to the plan. Installation was easy and painless, with very little preparation effort required on my part. The workmen who came were polite and pleasant, quiet and neat. They did a superb job of cleaning up all work areas. Paul was present each day to inspect the progress and the foreman of the job also took an active interest in all the work being done. Paul followed up immediately with the few minor changes and fixes and even came by to make sure that the windows were as expected after a very heavy downpour.

After talking to nine other window companies, I decided on Emerald for several reasons. Todd was very professional and full of information. He did not try to hard sell. He gave me all options and allowed me to decide. The team showed up on time, on the scheduled day. They showed the utmost respect for me and my home. I went to work and came home to beautiful windows. I received a full demonstration and instructions on using my new windows. The next day one of the casement windows was difficult to open. I called Todd and he and the crew leader Gil came out the very next day. Fortunately it was just the lock placement. I was extremely pleased with the entire experience. I tell everyone I know who installed my windows.

I called late one week and was able so shcedule an appointment with Todd the following Monday. Todd showed up at the time promised and looked at what need to be done, all the time explaining many of the initial details to me and the potential complications that might arise. He then sat down with me, explained the product to me, offering aesthetic advice, told me he would have an estimate to me the next day and left me with product infomation pamphlet. This was my first home repair issue so I was nervous. At no time did Todd pressure me into using them. He told me I should have an estimate by the end of the next day. When he wasn't able to prepare one by then, he emailed and told me it would be the following morning. Todd sent the estimate that morning. It was easy to understand and included costs for the special wood and capping work needed. Based on my research, the estimate seemed competitive so I went with it. I was able to schedule a meeting to take final measurements quickly. When Todd and his his assistant thought they were going to be 5 or 10 minutes late they called and let me know. They ended up being on time. Earlier in the week Todd dropped off a flip book of capping colors so I could select one to match the existing paint. The windows arrived within the time frame estimated. When installation day came, it was rainy and windy, but the installers were able to get the rear windows in with no problem. They arrived on time, took what I thought were excessive precautions to prevent dirt and damage, and were very professional. They came back on time the second day to finish the job. Both days they left my house cleaner than they had found it! When I got home from after the second day and looked at the front of my house, I said "Wow! It looks great!" The caulking work was great the capping color Todd had recommened blended in nicely with the existing paint scheme. Before the evening was out, two neighbors commented on how nice the new windows look. I still sometimes smille when I look at the front of the house. The work came in at the estmated cost. I don't know if I paid more than I had to, and I don't care. The ease with which everything went was well worth any premium I may have paid. If you can't stand hassles these guys are for you.

From the first contact, Todd from Emerald was extremely responsive and helpful and had great recommendations. We had two old windows that let in a pretty steady breeze, and Emerald replaced them with two extremely nice wood-framed energy efficient windows. We also had a breezy window in our shower, and Todd worked with us to address it -- we didn't want to have to take out some of the existing tile to replace the existing window, so he came up with the idea of the custom storm window, which works great. And the storm door Emerald installed was even nicer than we imagined. The house is on the historical register, and Todd took care of getting the necessary approvals with the commission, as well as getting the permit. He was always accessible and responded very quickly. (The only delay was from the manufacturer -- not Emerald -- and as soon as the windows were in stock they were great with scheduling the install very quickly). We're extremely happy with the installation (and cleanup), and the quality of the windows and door is extremely high. Overall, they are one of the best contractors with which I've dealt.

Overall, it went wonderfully. Paul was a pleasure to talk to and work with. He was very helpful when it came to picking out the style of window and its function. He was honest when he knew the window manufacturer would not be able to make an arched window but he made other suggestions that were just as nice. Once I had decided on the exact design of the window, color of the grid and the color of the accent glass, there was about a 4 week wait for the windows to be made. Once it came in, it took Paul and his crew one day to install and clean up. I am ELATED!! The windows look absolutely gorgeous. Emerald is a company I have driven past for years, thinking they only dealt with contractors. I am so glad they were able to take care of a single mom like myself.

Were late but did call to advise us.

He was late for the appointment. He measured the windows and we discussed what I wanted done. He said we had several ideas for replacing the windows. His email response was picked up by my spam filter and I was unaware that he had responded. If you don?t hear back from people, please check with them! That is the lesson that I learned! By the time I knew what had happened, I had already gone with another company.

It was very time consuming obtaining permits from the Historical Commission and L & I. Emerald took care of all the permit details. The work itself was completed in a very timely and professional manner. I would heartily recommend them to anybody.

Fantastic! Todd came and measured and gave estimate. Very accommodating and professional. Listened to my situation and recommended the best window for the job. Based on problems with previous windows (from another company) I had concerns, but he had already anticipated all the problems that could occur. The windows came in 2.5 weeks ahead of schedule. Gil and Chuck did the work. Excellent job, went above and beyond making sure the job was perfect. Work area was left cleaner than before they got there. A real pleasure.

Paul Stone came out to give an estimate on replacing two windows that had severe weather damage. I asked him to examine all the other windows in the house, and, although some of them had minor problems, he said that they had more life in them. We discussed the need to have the replacement windows look like the originals, due to homeowners association rules, but at the same time be better quality and low maintenance. His estimate came the next day via e-mail. He called a month later to schedule the installation at my convenience. The installers arrived when promised and took less time than alloted. The work was top notch and when they left there was no sign of any debris, Brendan gave a complete demonstration of how the windows operate. In 30 years of home ownership, this was by far my best experience with repairs.

They were on time and they worked diligently. They worked for about 5-6 hours on the installation. 4 of them worked. I thought their charge was a little high, but I did agree to pay. I was pleased that they arrived on time and worked while they were here. They notified me ahead of time that they were ready to come. They could have been more careful with their tools.

They came by once for the estimate on 2 different styles, and once for a final measurement and down-payment. Todd sent prompt email replies and the estimate spreadsheet during the holidays. The window arrived weeks earlier than expected, and they were able to fit my schedule for installation. The installer, Gil, arrived exactly when he said he would, and is very pleasant and professional -- the work was beautifully done, in the time that they had expected! He had the printed invoice ready at the end. This was the best house-work experience I've ever had!

They did a wonderful job. They were on time both days of work. They did a professional, finished job and cleaned up after themselves.

Overall, Emerald is one of the best contractors with whom I have worked, and I have had experiences with many while renovating my house from top to bottom. Todd was the most professional estimator by far, was always prompt and responded quickly to questions. While there are a couple problems with mis-ordered hardware and window sizes, the overall installation went very well. The crews were polite and professional, cleaned up well, and took care not to damage furniture or personal items. Overall, we are very pleased with the result; great-looking windows and doors and increased energy efficiency.

Called for an estimate and left name and number with receptionist. Never called back.

Overall I am very pleased with the people I dealt with at Emerald Windows: Mike, Paul, and Courtney. At the Emerald showroom, Mike s professional manner convinced us that they would provide the best product. It took 3 weeks before the windows were delivered. One window was not acceptable; Courtney immediately recognized it as their mistake and ordered a no cost replacement which took 2 weeks to arrive. I removed the old windows, but found that the new windows would be too wide for the opening after assembly! Courtney calmly answered my panicked call and informed Paul, their installation supervisor who arrived at the job site within the hour and proceeded to trim off unneeded ridges from both sides of each window to reduce the assembled width to fit, and I was able to complete the installation. The people at Emerald are very knowledgeable, fair, responsive, and a real pleasure to deal with.

Todd and associates installed 10 replacement windows in our Society Hill home. Historical district requirements prohibited anything but "true divided light", eliminating double pane. Todd found double pane windows that were very close to true divided light and, with our permission, took the project to the Historical Commission for approval and was successful! He ordered the windows and his team installed them within about one month. His workers were on time, professional, friendly and extremely clean in their work. They did an excellent job. He estimated installation would take one to two days and it did. They had to come back to install screens (since they did not come with the windows) and did that in a week. They fixed a back door screen for us without charge (not part of the job) and hauled away an old bookcase that the garbage men did not! We would work with them again in a heartbeat, and are sorry we no longer have windows to replace!

Emerald did a great job installing the windows. Considering how many windows they were installing, they did a really fast job.

Todd came out and told us that we could solve our problem by caulking a strip right above our windows. It was great to have him tell us how to solve our problem, even if that meant we didn't pay them to do the work. We did the caulking, and it fixed the leak.

Estimator (Todd) showed up as scheduled, gave us estimate for two grades of windows and doors (we chose the higher grade). Order placed and installation was 3-4 weeks from order. It was February, so Todd sent multiple crews, 8 or 9 installers, to get the job done in less than two days. Crews were professional, neat, polite, clean and even good to our two rowdy dogs. After installation, Todd came back out to check everything and made a small punch list. Offered to hold off billing until punch list was complete. Very happy with the windows and doors. Highly recommend company.

They ran into a problem, but they stayed late to finish the work the same day. The only real problem was that the bill they prepared was not correct. It wasn't in their favor it was in my favor. They seemed to be very professional.

Todd seemed reluctant to explain the work to be done. He did show me a sample window. He said he would email the estimate. It's been a week and nothing.
