We were without heat, we called this company which we found in the yellow pages. We thought they were coming from NJ turns out they came from Philly. they charged us 150.00 just to walk in the door. The guy and his son looked at the unit and found that the sensor went and had to be replaced. We were then charged for the replacement of the ignition system. I was floored when he said he had taken everything out and that the unit wouldn't work so we had to replace the part. Sorry I was floored by the price: $550.00. My husband told him when he called it was an emergency since we had no heat in the house and the guy told him, "how about I come tomorrow?"
Description of Work: My husband found this company in the yellow pages before Angie's List. They came out and charged 150.00 for the house call. they found the heater needed a sensor, which was the reason there was no heat in the house. The bill states they replaced the ignition system. The part cost 50.00.

I called around in the early afternoon on a Sunday and was surprised to hear they could come by sometime that day. I sat around waiting for them, and by 5:30 realized they had completely blown me off without even calling. After I called THEM, they rescheduled for the next morning at 8. They showed up over an hour late. When the guy finally came, he saw the problem right away. His solution was to cut the pipe, clean it out, and seal it back up. The problem came when he just cut the pipe and a LOT of water started dripping onto my blower and my laundry room. He was completely unprepared and had nothing to catch all this water (I'm talking a half-gallon or more). I was kind of astounded as he knew there was water in there before he cut the pipe. He then blew compressed air into the pipe to clean out the mold; the mold he got out he just left on my floor. They were completely disrespectful of my house and I would never use them again.
Description of Work: My AC unit's condenser was leaking in my laundry room. The problem, as the technician suspected, was that the drain pipe was clogged up. This can happen if the pipe is too long or has too many turns as mold can grow in the pipe and clog it up.

They kind of farm it out. They sell you the unit, then they have to come install it for you. They are very fast when they come out to your house and install it.

This is the third time Eastern has tried to tell me that my entire system needs to be replaced. I called my handyman in tears after they left. In fifteen minutes he replaced a part and it was working just fine. I was so upset with Eastern. If there is no problem, they will try and get you to replace your whole system. This is not a good business and they are very dishonest. I would warn others against calling them.
Description of Work: Our air conditioner was simply not working. They said they could replace my entire system and offer me a good deal for the services. I paid one hundred dollars for their evaluation and had them do no work.

THEY WERE VERY RESPONSIVE, AND THEIR WORK WAS EXCELLENT. THE ONLY THING THAT I DID NOT LIKE WAS THEM BEING A LITTLE TOO PUSHY ON TRYING TO SELL ME ON ADDITIONAL PRODUCTS.

We called for service Friday, got an appointment for Monday. They never came; when my daughter called at 5:45, the person answering was rude & dismissive. Set another appointment for Tuesday AM; never came, said no one answered when they called, although my daughter was there all morning. Another appointment for Friday; showed up on Thursday, fortunately, I was there. The technician was very pleasant, tidy and seemingly competent. But, he was there less than an hour, used less than 6 inches of PVC and 1 PVC knuckle joint, and the bill was $250. When I asked about the charge, the technician seemed embarrassed. When I called the company, their only response was that the work was covered by a warranty, and they would do any warranty work for free. When I asked if $275 was their standard charge for a short service call, they replied "Yes". I will never use this company again; their pricing seems capricious, their phone dispatcher is unpleasant and inefficient.
