They were very punctual, got back to me right away, and were able to get the work done within a couple of days.

Bill's first visit was on 12/26 to assess the problem. He came back after the chimney repair and did the above work on 1/2/14. He called each time 1/2 in advance to let me know he was on his way. His staff were friendly and polite as well as Bill very professional and on time, that is a big plus. I have other work to be done in my kitchen and bathroom. I will call him again and recommend him to others.

I had a flood in my basement on New Year's weekend and contacted Mr. Bierman by e-mail. He responded quickly and through some back and forth, suggested that I have a clogged pipe specialist come out first-- which I did. Luckily, in the end, I did not need any work done -- the drain spontaneously cleared. I was impressed by his quick response and his practical suggestions. He could have easily came and charged me for a service visit. He seems principled and trustworthy, was willing to diagnose the problem by e-mail. I will be happy to use him in the future.

The best experience I?ve ever had with any service provider. Bill gave a detailed estimate; answered all my questions promptly, courteously and professionally. He even rearranged his work schedule to come early in the AM at my request. He arrived early and completed the job professionally and efficiently. He also had the best price of the 4 estimates I got and offered flexible payment methods. I WOULD ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND HIM to anyone - a true professional and excellent customer service!

I met with several plumbers before Bill and was extremely disappointed with all of them. I couldn't even get people to return my phone calls. Bill was very quick to respond to me and get the work done. When the pipes in the basement started leaking he took care of that the same day. He also came back out free of charge to replace my thermostat when it started to malfunction. Bill is easy to communicate with and gets things done quickly. Will certainly use him in the future for any other work I need done and recommend him to others without hesitation.

This was a big job. Bill came over soon after I contacted him and we discussed the options. It was not feasible to dig up the pipe and replace it outside of the foundation walls because there had been too much hard surface added over the years and it would have been prohibitively expensive. He (and other contractors) suggested moving the pipe indoors, drilling through the walls and adding four new rain leaders to bring the system up to code. My front lawn and one section of sidewalk had to be dug up with an excavator in order for the pipes to go to the street. Bill communicated in a clear and timely manner. He went over all the options via email. The work started on time and went smoothly-- 1. The contract was signed. 2. The necessary permits were obtained by the contractor 3. Materials needed to secure a work vehicle parking spot on busy Ridge Avenue were delivered, and 4. The excavation process was done in one day, while I was at work, and with no impact to the property next door. The entire job took roughly four days, broken over a weekend, so for that big of a job done in a short time is impressive. I was hardly at home so I did not see the progression but the end result is that I have no more flooding in my basement when it rains and that makes me very relieved. Overall, the job went quickly and smoothly and I did not feel nervous. I had gotten bids for less money but some contractors did not present themselves in a way that made me feel comfortable hiring them to drill through my foundation walls and dig up my yard and part of the sidewalk. I am a person who likes work to be done right the first time and for that, I would hire East Falls Plumbing for any job.

Water damage appeared on my living room ceiling on Friday evening. It appeared to coming from my bathub drain on the floor above. I called East Falls Plumbing on Saturday morning and left a message. Bill returned my call within an hour and I did my best to describe the problem and the arrangement in my house. Within an hour and a half he had someone at my door. He confirmed the problem, and provided a quote. The leak was fixed by replacing the shoe on the bathtub drain in less than 5 hours from my initial call and no sign of the leak since then. Everyone was friendly and helpful and their responsiveness (especially on a Saturday) was great.

Bill was wonderful in presenting the issues at hand regarding what was possible and what the risks were. Our house is old and various people told us we simply had to redo the whole bathroom. We had him set it back up so we could use the bathroom while we got quotes and then decided to get Bills guys to do the plumbing and see if we could get away with simply retiling the bathroom rather than renovating the whole room. East fall plumbing came on time and were very reachable and willing to discuss the different options with us. They worked neatly and got the job done efficiently. It all worked wonderfully and we would be very happy to use them again and have recommended the company to several friends.

Great ! We were desperately trying to find someone to go to our rental property. This is the second time that he immediately went over and did the repairs to everyone's satisfaction. Actually, Bill has been a Godsend to us and we expect to use his services for years to come.

Excellent work! Bill and his helper arrived as scheduled to remove an old disposal and install a new one. I have contracted Bill Bierman for plumbing issues in my Center City house in the past, so I knew him to be reliable and professional. This time I also consulted with Bill in advance regarding which disposal model to select. Bill and his helper were very efficient in removing the old disposal and installing the new one. In the installation process they discovered that the old sink trap also had to be replaced. Bill went out to the nearest hardware store and purchased a trap while his helper continued the installation. They were very thorough in performing not just the install, but checking for smooth functioning of the new disposal and for any leaks from the new trap. The new disposer works like a dream, and no leaks in sight! (By the way, I am very happy with the choice of my new Insinkerator, Evolution Cover Control). The total charge was extremely reasonable, given the unexpected additional issue of replacing the trap.

Great work, no issues. Bill arrived when scheduled and did exactly the work we discussed. He cut out an old cracked section of my waste line and the fitting where it turns down to the ground. He replaced it with PVC pipe and a new clean-out. The seams were sealed properly and it doesn't appear to have any leaks or issues. I'm very satisfied with the work done. The work site was left clean and tidy. I would definitely use East Falls Plumbing again for future work.

Gave estimate of $200 for garbage disposal replacement. My location was not far from provider. Disposal was self purchased and was same brand and type as broken one. I was able to get service for $75 by another provider. Job took less than 30 minutes to complete.

The pump was replaced. It works fine now. It took him about an hour. No complaints.

The response to my initial request was prompt and the estimate was very competitive. Bill was very honest about his scheduling ability during a busy week, but the price and quality were worth waiting for. He also worked with me to cross all t's and dot all i's to make the job proceed smoothly with city permitting requirements, which was important as there was other work happening in the house. As a new homeowner it was refreshing to get an honest and candid assessment about what needed to make a quality repair without extraneous extras. When we get around to future remodelings, I will definitely call upon his services again.

He was prompt with his replies, work, and cleaned up after himself and/or his assistant worker.I would use him again and be happy to refer him to others. He does excellent work. P.s. I had minor problem with my tub drain. He came right over during a bad storm to resolve the problem.

Technician was punctual, professional and thorough. He quoted the price over the phone before the appointment, and requestefd that I email him a picture of the old disposal so he could arrive with the correct part. We were impressed and pleased with the work!

East Falls plumbing was very responsive to my first email requesting a quote for multiple items. They came out to do a couple of the smaller items on the list first and to look at the other items to write up the estimate. I had saved up a bunch of plumbing stuff to limit the number of days the plumbing fixes would take, but it ended up being 4 different visits. The first visit, the drain couldn't be unclogged and East Falls plumbing had me call a drain cleaner they work with to come out the next week and take care of it. I would have preferred they set it up for when the plumbers would be there next, just to reduce the number of times I needed to be home, but the drain cleaners (Mike Fox) were very fast and I didn't know there were drain cleaner companies out there - so it might save me some $ down the road if I have a clogged drain I now know I could call them instead of a plumber. I had to follow up with East Falls plumbing to get the estimate, but when I did, the response was quick. They were considerate of my home, came when they said they would, answered all of my questions and were very polite. There was a little confusion from the contract on what I wanted as an inlet in one of the areas of waste water pipe and East Falls Plumbing was very responsive and took care of it right away. I would definitely use them again.

All work completed in the timeline as promised. Oil tank removed from inside my basement without any mess or debris left behind. I selected this business for the job based on work estimates provided, previous Angie's list reviews and the willingness of the owner to work out the specific details of the job with me and to work with my schedule. Equipment functioned without any problems over the past winter. Significant heating cost savings resulted from this work. I was very pleased with the work and would highly recommend East Falls Plumbing and Heating.
