The work was professionally done by East Falls Plumbing staff, and arrival was punctual. The workmanship was very good overall. One small detail was left undone in the bath that was more aesthetic than functional, and the owner came the next day to redo it immediately which was very thoughtful. I was pleased overall. The cost covered some of the materials including the WC, so perhaps the price was within the range. They also took away the old WC. I would definitely use East Falls Plumbing again.

Some of the mirrors on the living room wall fell. Found out later that the mirrors fell due water leakage from cracks in the waste pipe that was located behind that wall. I contacted East Falls Plumbing & Heating and Bill from East Falls contacted me almost immediately. Bill came out late one evening and assessed the problem. Work to correct the problem was scheduled almost right away. Bill and crew did an excellent job fixing my problem. Their plumbing work is impressive.

This review is long overdue. Bill has done numerous jobs - big and small - (installing boiler to fixing leaks) in my house since I moved to East Falls two years ago. He's also given me great recommendations for jobs that outsources. He shows up on time, gets the job done, is fun to chat with, and a treasure to have in the neighborhood. You can't go wrong with Bill. He'll do a good job, he won't talk up a job or jack up a price. Hire him.

I contacted them in the beginning of the week through email. We had a nice conversation back and forth through email and I told him I could only do weekends due to work. When all was said and done, he quoted me the right amount and was at my house Saturday morning on time. Three workers changed the heater and were very courteous and answered any questions I had. I would definitely call again for work, and plan on it next year when I move.

I bought a house last winter, where the previous owner was elderly and really had not maintained many things. Even though the boiler was serviced by another plumber for the sellers as a condition of the sale, I came home on Tuesday night to a terrible smell. I called PGW, who came out and shutoff the gas to my heater stating the boiler had been carbonized. He did however tell me about how long it should take to fix and a range of prices to expect. I called another contractor and emailed Bill, with it being the New Years holiday I didn't have high hopes on quick responses. However Bill emailed me back quickly. He was super polite and within the range I had had been told to expect by the PGW guy. Also he had an opening on Saturday. He arrived at 10, as promised, and in under 3 hours, I had heat and a cleaner basement than when they arrived. The amount was exactly what he estimated, even though he also replaced another part that was not part of original service agreement. Great guys, great company. Thanks again.

Bill was highly responsive, and provided a full overview of the job including cost via email before we scheduled a service date. He arrived during the 1-hour window, and was in/out within 30 minutes. The plumbers at East Falls Plumbing did a fantastic job and were very professional. They replied to my initial request for an estimate very quickly, and were able to assess the job via emailed information and photos (since it was a smaller repair). They were very flexible with the scheduling and arrived exactly on time for the job. The three-man team explained the problem in detail, and repaired the leak and the hoses within a very short span of time. Not only did they recheck their work multiple times, but they invited me to check their work too, ensuring I was satisfied. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone who needs plumbing work done!

I had a very positive experience with Bill and will definitely call him the next time I need a plumber. I found Bill on Angie's list and emailed him on a Saturday requesting an estimate. He responded quickly via email and asked me to send him pictures. I sent him some information about the house and pictures of the old boiler and he emailed me estimates for two different boilers on Sunday. Bill was willing to come out to the house to look at the furnace before making the estimate, but said he didn't feel it was necessary. His price was over $5,000.00 less than the price I was quoted by another company for what appeared to be a similar boiler and service. Bill said he could do the work that Thursday. Thursday, he arrived with the boiler at the time we had agreed on. He was pleasant and friendly. He and two helpers went hard to work immediately. I had to leave so I left Bill a set of keys. When I returned home that evening the house was locked up and the furnace installed. The furnace seems to be working fine--Bill gave a one year guarantee of his work. Throughout the process, Bill's communication was excellent and he did exactly what he said he was going to do.

After an initial miscommunication (details below) of which Angie's List and I each own a share, Bill came out for a look a week ago. After sizing up the situation, he offered two options (repair or replace) and quoted prices. I chose to replace. The original builder had failed to install shutoff valves for the shower and had simply walled over the access to the plubming. Bill offered to make the access he needed. However, I am a woodworker and a cheapskate, so I opened the wall and installed an access panel before Bill's return trip to do the job. We exchanged pictures and documentation via email to speed up the process. Bill was a clear and responsive communicator. Bill got the job done on the second trip despite my schedule constraint and despite the fact that the new valve was missing a piece of the trim. He made a special trip to his supplier during the job in order to get it done that day. This was a low-priority job because we have our primary shower on another floor and Bill scheduled himself appropriately. Had it been an emergency, I feel he would have adjusted his schedule accordingly. Re the initial miscommunication, apparently there is not an obvious difference between the Angie's list "Schedule Now" and "Ask a Question" buttons in terms of what the recipient sees. I relied upon "Schedule Now" to communicate the fact that I wanted him to come out. I was detailed about the problem, but not clear in the text that I wanted him to do the job. Bill's initial response was as if I had asked him for free advice. Once I understood the problem, we got it sorted out. Again, the job itself went well from start to finish. Bill and his helper kept their time committments, worked professionally, and cleaned up after themselves. Bill is the first one I will call the next time I need help with a plumbing problem.

It went fine. They did a good job and all works very well. They were easy to work with and easy to schedule with. No complaints.

Bill was quick to respond! Seeing he used a mobile device when he first responded assured he'd be communicative on arrival/delays and responsive to any future problem I'd have. He arrive within the time slot stated and was quick and thorough. Even checked my new toilet.

Bill was very responsive and thorough. He came on time, and was here about 5 hours. He kept me informed during that time about the problem and what he would do to fix it. I was on a call when he left and he followed up with a detailed email later that evening with a summary of what he'd done and some recommendations for the future. It was a messy job but he and his assistant cleaned up and were considerate while doing the work. I would definitely use them again. Bill's communication was exceptionally good and much appreciated.

He and his assistant arrived exactly on time. He asked me to describe the problem, which was essentially a leak from the bathroom plumbing through my dining room ceiling. He then asked permission to open up the ceiling in the dining room, and his assistant, using a hammer, punched a hole about one foot by three feet in the plaster ceiling. He then ran the water in all four pieces of the bathroom (shower, tub, toilet and sink) and the leak became apparrent. He also punched out plaster in the hallway outside of the bathroom, to get to another pipe that was also leaking. He and his assistant replaced both sections of pipe, then tested for leaks. They found one, and so replaced one of the pieces holding the pipe with a different style piece. They then tested for leaks again, and there were none. He gave me the name of someone with whom he was familiar so that I could call this person to repair the plaster to its original condition, but asked me to consider putting this off for a month or two in case further problems developed. He also suggested that I consider having a cast iron Closet Pipe (located under the toilet replaced, as the house is 89 years old and he was concerned that the cast iron might develop a leak "maybe next week, maybe never." He accepted a personal check and gave me a receipt which detailed all work done and materials used, and encouraged me to contact him if there were any further probllems. He placed dropcloths on all floors to protect them. Overall, he and his assistant were prompt, seemed very knowledgeable, worked efficiently, were very cordial, and explained what they were doing and why they were doing it. There further was a 30 day guarantee. At this point, I would recommend this Plumber/Contractor without reservation.

Contacted this company to have someone come out and check the hot water heater. They were very prompt in getting back to me and came to check out the heater the same day. I ended up needing to replace the heater entirely which they installed the same day. Professional, courteous and easy to work with. Would definitely use them again.

I was preparing to sell my house when I noticed I had a leak in the ceiling of the bathroom. Initially, I thought the leak was coming from the roof, but it turned out to be coming from the sewer stack pipe in the attic. Bill came out twice - first to diagnose the problem and then a second appointment to do the repair. My house is over 100 years old and this particular pipe was the original cast iron. On top of that, it was located in the attic and vented out through the roof. In other words, this potentially was a repair that could go south quickly. After checking out the pipe, Bill clearly explained to me the situation and offered me different repair options. In other words, he gave me "best case" and "worst case" scenarios based on what may happen if he had to cut in to the pipe in order to repair/replace it. Fortunately, Bill came up with an affordable, minimally invasive option that solved the problem. Because of the rather inaccessible location of the pipe inside the attic, he took a photo of the repaired pipe for me so that I have visual proof for the realtor and home inspector. Bill has also backed his work with a 1-year warranty, which has given me peace of mind. Bill was great. Very professional, knowledgeable, punctual and thoughtful. I highly recommend him and would refer him to anyone seeking an excellent, reliable master plumber who knows his way around old historic houses.

I called Bill because we had a broken toilet, and I thought we would have to replace it. He was able to fix it (saving us many $$$). While he was at our house, I asked him check out two other toilets, to head off potential problems. Both needed minor fixes. The job was done quickly, and everything was clean when he and his helpers left.

My husband and I were panicked as the faucet on the tub would not turn off. We had to turn off all of the water in the house. This was tough as we have two small babies and we needed the water on. We called East Falls Plumbing first thing in the morning and he came out within an hour. The two men were courteous and quick and we and water within an hour. This family home is now a rental which I manage from 3000 miles away. We have an excellent tenant. She messaged that one of the bathroom shower heads was uncontrollable. He had someone at the house within two days to repair the shower- even scheduling the work for very late in the afternoon to accommodate my tenant's work schedule. While he was there the tenant showed him that there was water on the basement floor near the water heater. She and I had discussed that a couple weeks earlier. I had the water heater on my "list" for replacement. Bill offered me a very fair price to replace the water heater and I accepted happily. Everything was done by the next morning. My tenant let me know that the water was hotter than ever before and the shower head works. Her weekend guests had hot showers to wash off their travel grit. All in all a happy combination - great tenant, good landlord, outstanding plumber. East Falls is now my go-to plumbing company. Bill Bierman was business-like, competent and easy to work with. I sent a message to Bill on Friday 4/4 via Angie;s list. He got right back to me and asked for my phone number. He said he would be available Sat , maybe am maybe pm. He called Saturdy and said he might be able to get out, called me back in 20 minutes as promised to say he could, and came riight out. He was professional, prompt and it was REALLY appreicated. though the repairs themselves were straightfoward the timing and the communciation were really important.

Because I have had dealings with angie's list providers,I can say that just because they come to do the job,it's the aftershocks that tell the story! East coast gave me direction on what to do first,and when it was confirmed that I needed work done, they came out promptly,did the work that was prescribed and kept it clean the whole way. There price was exceptional and I will definitely use them again and spread their name to anyone that needs a really good,honest plumber.
