Terrific. Frankly, I almost want to have some plumbing issues so we can call Bill again! Seriously he is a gem - a great find. Wonderful guy who came when he said he would and explained things so we could understand them. His work is excellent. It's clear you are in the hands of an expert. We found him on Angie's List and we recommend him most highly. The best.
Description of Work: We're in West Mt Airy and had faucets replaced, toilet reset. radiator and garbage disposal replaced.

They respond quickly and provide great service. On the big job I had them do (installing an outlet from my sewer line), their quote was substantially lower than the other quote I got.
Description of Work: I've used East Falls Plumbing and Heating multiple times--for a leaking toilet, frozen pipes that cracked my faucet, and a sewer line with no outlet.

Highly recommend: fast, punctual, trustworthy, loyal, reasonable price, and quality service. Highly recommend (but only to the extend that he doesn't become too busy for the work I give him :)
Description of Work: Bill has worked for us for many years now as our regular plumber. His initial job was relatively large and he did fast and meticulous in a basement finish. Bill has common sense and works with you toward the best solution, not just the easiest. In the years following, Bill has come out for many different smaller jobs that he scheduled and finished quickly including toilet repairs, water heater install, leaks, etc.

Multiple tasks over a period of a year and done within the approximate costs for professional plumbing services.
Description of Work: Several jobs included a back flow valve on my main water line, which was installed in a professional manner and the work was described in detail by the owner William, as to function, use, reason for installation and maintenance. All went well. Also, his crew installed new parts on my kitchen sink Delta faucet, which went seamlessly after I obtained the necessary parts from Delta. Additionally, they replaced the pressure relief valves on two of my hot water heaters and an in line cut off valve for intake. Everything works well and is functioning beautifully. Their first job with me was the correction of an improper installation of rough in shower lines and then later, they came back and installed the finish fixtures. Beautiful job, pleasant crew, intelligent owner of the company, prompt response time and a joy to work with in my home and business.

FRUSTRATING! All correspondence took place via e-mail - NO VERBAL communication at all.(Because of this way of communicating, I had to camp out at my computer all day for several days and constantly refresh my e-mail). The plumber who came (not the owner), initially was going to replace the valve only (without the new 90 degree brass elbows that were attached to the new valve. I was being CHARGED for the cost of a new valve AND 2 new elbows (that was included with the valve price ) and paying full price for their full installation cost - which totaled $200 plus a 10% discount = $180.00. I specifically stated in my e-mail, "If you can replace it with the same valve, then I am in agreement with your offer. If you have to cut out a small section of the hot and cold water lines and replace it with new copper with the new elbows in order to re-attach the valve, will that be an extra cost? Are there any additional trip costs beyond what you are quoting - $200.00 with a 10% discount = $180.00?" The owner's response was, "Yes to same valve. No extra charge for cutting copper and resoldering No additional trip fees." The plumber who arrived initially refused to cut any copper lines and install the NEW elbows that came with the valve. The plumber said in order to install the new elbows (that came with the valve), I would have to pay an additional $50.00 which STILL DID NOT include the sweating and resoldering (small sections) of new copper. I pointed back to my e-mail of what the owner had stated in writing and was insistant. After my question in the e-mail, the owner should have stated that his final price ONLY included installing the valve body to the OLD elbows that were already attached to the wall and that no sweating, soldering, cutting of copper lines would take place for the quoted price- that would have been proper communication. I finally agreed to a compromise(in my mind) to have the old copper sweated and resoldered onto the new elbows so I could start using my washing machine. In my haste to get a plumber who was available (I was only interested in him initially for some work on my very old heater), I neglected to confirm his licensure/insurance status plus check to see if he took credit cards. Well. guess what? I just checked the PA Attny General's website and this business has not been registered (no license/no ins.) since 2/11/15. The Build Zoom website (another contractor rating organization) states that their rating score is "0". Nor is there any registration with the BBB. Somewhere in my reading, he states that he is licensed, bonded , and insured. This plumbing business only accepts cash or checks, NO credit cards. To their credit, the plumber was courteous throughout, and did arrive shortly after the agreed upon latest time of 12 noon (The owner did send an e-mail a little more than a hour before the latest arrival time frame) that they were held up on their first job and would let me know when they were 30 minutes away from my house. Be wary of this contractor - no updated insurance or licensure information available, nor does he communicate as well as he thinks he does.

I am sorry but simply put this person was an idiot and not our type of customer. She wanted us to do more work than was necessary to achieve the same end so I told my workman to push back. With all my positive reviews I finally feel I don't need to allow myself or my men to be abused by unscrupulous Angies list customers anymore. She had very poor communication skills and muddied the water for herself. I am fully licensed in Philadelphia and surrounding counties. I know nothing of needing to be registered on an attorney generals website. Finally, she neglects to point out that she got exactly what she wanted at the quoted price and other than Her not be able to understand exactly what was going on she got exactly what she wanted and I thank God we never touched her very old heater as I am sure she would have abused us further. We call this type of customer an Angies list landmine and I generally try to screen them out.

Work done efficiently and no surprises. Bill worked hard to keep all lines within chase spaces and the existing drop ceiling over the kitchen, which was very helpful as some of our work for this remodel is DIY. He let us know in real time as questions came up. I would certainly make use of his skills for future work, and he has consistently made competitive estimates in comparison to other plumbers.
Description of Work: New second floor bathroom, including washer and dryer. Bill provided new supply and drain lines for lav, toilet, bathtub, and washer/dryer. New vent penetration through the roof and dryer vent through the wall.

I REALLY like these guys. They're timely, they keep to their commitments, they're really nice and they do quality work. This outfit is a keeper. Bill, the boss, is timely with his estimates and super responsive generally. You can text him and he'll get right back to you. The guy he has sent for both jobs -- whose name unfortunately escapes me -- is really nice, very laid back, super professional and extremely helpful. He entertained my renovation newbie questions with a great deal of patience. Bill threw in hooking up my range for free when the guy Home Depot sent couldn't do it. East Falls prices are on the low side of the Homewyze middle, which is quite reasonable in light of the overall quality of Bill's operation. I've worked with the much vaunted Goodman and was VERY unimpressed. I actually turned to Bill because Goodman completely neglected to provide an estimate for close to two thousand dollars worth of work.. I even reminded them. Their loss was my gain. East Falls are my plumbers for keeps.

Kevin came a few days early, explained how to get along until he could return for the repair on Monday. He knew exactly what the problem was, also found a blockage, and installed a new PVC pipe that hasn't leaked a drop on either end. A trap was also installed, and the job was checked thoroughly before leaving. The details were also explained, and the job was done protecting many items of clothing and other things nearby. Cannot imagine a better job, considering our original concern about a very messy situation. Would not hesitate to recommend this organization to anyone who needs any job done correctly, and professionally. Thanks, Kevin!

Called and left voicemail on a Saturday afternoon for emergency work to stop leakage from an auxiliary water shut off valve, which had gone from dripping to minor waterfall! They answered in 5 minutes and gave me a time frame of 2 to 4 PM arrival. They arrived shortly after 3 PM. Bill and assistant were efficient, very focused on solving the problem at hand, which they did within 30-35 minutes. They were courteous and easy to talk to. And it costs us $20 less than he quoted on the phone. Will certainly consider using them in the future.

Excellent work. I realized the basement was flooded right after dinner because my water heater had finally died. Cleaned up the mess and sent him an email at 10:30 pm at night. Immediately scheduled me for the repair the next day. Did the work on time at the price he quoted me. Couldn't have been easier. A delight to work with.

We all realized that replacing the water heater in the utility closet would require either cutting the door frame/wall or removing the furnace. They cut the door frame/wall for us in a way that we could screw it back together to remove easily in the future. They also did a great job installing the new heater. These guys are prompt, professional and do quality work for a fair price. I would recommend them highly.

I requested a simple service estimate as I would from any provider. However, Bill sent me an e-mail stating that he doesn't come out to do service estimates for small jobs. I've never heard of such and have had no problems receiving free estimates from contractors. It is important when you are running a business to offer an estimate so that you can assess the issue rather than assume what the work would cost by having e-mail conversations. I found this to be an unpleasant experience and would not ever use this company for plumbing service and will be sure to spread the word to friends and family. It's a simple, professional task to come out and see what the problem is rather than refuse to do so just because it may be a "small job". His company won't go far if this is the way he does business. I wish I didn't contact him but the "A" rating made me think I would at least be able to get a phone call and an estimate. True F rating in my eyes.

I contacted Bill and a couple other plumbers for bids on repairs in a home I just purchased. Bill was very responsive and offered a very reasonable price. He and a small team replaced two gas water heaters, repaired an old cracked stack pipe in my attic, and some bathtub plumbing that I couldn't easily access. His guys also caught that my main water valve was leaking, which I hadn't noticed, and they replaced that too for very little extra. Overall I was very pleased. He also returned a few weeks later at my request to repair a lose vent on the tanks, and didn't charge me, so I appreciated that he stood by his work. I'm happy to recommend them.

Bill did a great job replacing my old 30 gallon gas water heater with a new 40 gallon one. Communication was clear and he was able to give me an estimate via email, without even visiting my property. He showed up to do the work when he was supposed to and finished the job quickly. Most importantly, he charged me a good price for a high quality Bradford White water heater and even removed the old one. I will definitely use East Falls Plumbing again.
