Description of Work: • Replaced failed cast iron in 1st floor ceiling draining 2nd floor bathroom |• Replaced bathtub drain with PVC from bathtub to soil stack. |• Provided and installed new tub shower faucet and new waste & overflow drain assembly |• Provided and installed new flush valve seal, and fill valve actuator on toilet. |• Provided and installed new lavatory faucet and trap for bathroom sink. |(Lavatory drain partially renewed from closet bend approximately ½ way to lavatory. Plumber chose to connect to existing lead lavatory drain. Condition of lead found to be acceptable.) Installed one new faucet/trap. | |• Drained heating system, provided/installed new circulator pump and temperature relieve valve. |Cleaned burners and fore box. |• Provided and replaced leaking radiator in dining room. | |** Note: The house had not been lived in for about 10 years, and we were concerned about the heater and the water heater, in addition to the condition of the pipes. Bill did a thorough job checking, and we were very pleased that he was able to get our heater up and running; the water heater was fine. We knew about the serious leak from the pipes connecting to the soil stack, and we were very happy that he did not have to rip up the bathroom floor to get at it. Description of Work: Replaced 20 feet of verrtical cracked cast iron 4 inch drain pipe and "T" section, extending over 2 floors. Timely, professional; they did an excellent job in difficult to reach places. I am very pleased with the interaction. They kept me informed of everything and left good advice for future maintenance. It was easy to see why they were named "Best of Philly" for old house plumbing.

Description of Work: They fixed a facuet on my third floor bathroom where the pipes ratteled very loudly throughout my house. I thought the price was a little high but the service has excellent. Bill also checked out other concerns I had with antoher shower. The fix was to turn on the multiple knobs on the shower. We both laughed, I would use him again. He had a worker with him. I liked the way he explained the problem. They were here about 45 minutes. He was caught on another job and arrived late. He apologized and was very professional.

+ 1 morePlumber and assistant participated in rennovation of our master bathroom. Coordinated well with general contractor and was very accomadating to our time sensitive schedule as well as clean and neat while working in our home. The plumbers were a little late on the morning they were scheduled to start work. We found this dissappointing. However, Bill informed us he has three month old and it has been a difficult adjusment. We felt this was a good excuse and they also worked later to make up for the lost hour. He was on time the rest of the project and we quickly forgot about the initial lateness. General contractor inspected work and was very pleased with quality level and intends to use East Falls on some other bathroom remodels. Pricing seemed to be below the going rate and this made us a little nervous as to the quality level of the work but Bill explained to us since the economic slow down he has dropped his prices and has been making his money on volume. Overall He did a very good job. We will definitely use again and plan on getting an estimate in October to replace our heating system.

+ -1 moreI very much recommend Bill - He was extremely helpful in setting up a time and place and working with me to coordinate the plumbing job which needed to be in sync with other renovation work. His price was very reasonable and they worked hard to get done fast with the job. The quality of the work was very good and Bill and his helper were very courteous, worked clean and were punctual. I will definitely work with them in the future.
Description of Work: Install of plumbing for bathroom in the basement. Replacement of water heater. Replacing and repositioning gas and water lines in basement.

+ 1 moreThe owner of the business was on time for both the estimate and the work. Owner also did the work himself with a younger apprentice. Both were very respectful in our home. Our sewer kept backing up and several other contractors provided estimates of $3000-$5000 recommending we dig up out lawn. We called East Falls and owner deduced there was something lodged in a pipe in the basement and this was the source of the problem. I must admit I was skeptical at first but he seemed very knowledgeable and we decided to trust him. He cut out and replaced the section of pipe he suspected and removed some debris. The sewer has not blocked up since and we fell as though we saved a lot of money. Overall very pleasant company to deal with. Very professional but very down to earth.
Description of Work: Cut out and replaced cracked and blocked iron sewer pipe in basement. Also fixed leaking toilet for $45.00 additional charge.
