I called Bill around 9:00 AM after learning that there was a plumbing blockage. Bill checked his schedule and called me back within 15 minutes to let me know that he could help with the clog between 3:00 and 4:00 PM that afternoon. As usual, Bill's team arrived on-time and cleared a stubborn blockage in the main drainage pipe. Overall, it was another good experience using East Falls Plumbing.

The work was done over two days with the first day being the removal of the old fixtures and the second day being the installation of the new fixtures. Bill and his team were flexible in working around my schedule and were punctual for all scheduled appointments. Overall, Bill and his team were a pleasure to work with and I'd highly recommend them.

Had an old basement sink that needed all new hardware and adding in stop valves. Bill was first to reply and had a reasonable estimate plus could come the soonest. When he arrived he pointed out an issue with my main line from the street - old stop valve was literally rusted shut and any attempt to shut off would have created a large problem. He completed the sink work and installed a new stop valve on main water line in one morning. Very professional and excellent work done. Will definitely reach out to Bill and co. in the future when additional plumbing needs arise.

I have hired Bill Bierman numerous times for plumbing issues in our home. I continue to be very pleased with all aspects of his work. He is articulate, professional, punctual and just plain old knows what he is doing. It's really a relief to know that when you contact him about an issues you are having, he will get back to you very quickly. My project this time was replacing a toilet. My 86 year old father lives with us and the bathroom that he uses had a toilet seat height that was difficult for him (given his arthritic knees). After discussing with Bill, I purchased a comfort height toilet and arranged installation. Bill answers calls and emails and we have even finalized arrangements via text messaging....it's great! He was on time and got right to work. We caught up on the family and pets and he never missed a beat getting the install done quickly and perfectly. We ran into an unexpected existing faulty shut off valve and Bill had the parts on his truck to do that replacement too. Everything was cleaned up nicely and the old toilet, packaging and trash was removed by Bill. Dad's knees are pleased with the change and we are happy with another job well done. Thanks Bill!

He did a wonderful and fabulous job. It was a very difficult job that was long and involved. They did an exceptional job. Our first contact with them was in February. The plumbing fixtures that we had here did not take universal pieces. He was very tenacious in coming back to work on the problem and the problem got fixed a little over two weeks ago. He did a lot of different things but we had to continue to get parts from the supplier as we could not use just any piece in the fixtures. He was very patient. We appreciated that because we have had plumbers in the past that would look at the work and would not want to be involved. We wanted some conclusion on it. They did not want to be involved because it would take some efforts, time, expertise and tenacity in order for the problem to be resolved unless we threw away the fixtures. The fixtures were very expensive and hence, we did not want to throw them away. They were very professional and they were not afraid to get into something that was not a standard plumbing issue. They were very willing to work out whatever the problem was. In our case, we wanted special parts and they were willing to continue to work through to resolve the problem. It was a number of things and it took from February until May to get the pieces that we needed to resolve the problem. He continued to come and do whatever he could do. He was provided with the parts that we had received from the supplier. It was not a cookie cutter plumbing issue. It required someone who was willing to continue at it until it was resolved and they did that. They would absolutely be our plumber for the future and we would not even consider anybody else.

We had a very good experience. Bill showed up on time and was very professional. We have an older house and I was considering installing the faucet and garbage disposal myself but I was glad to have Bill do it for us. A pipe had to be cut because it did not fit our new garbage disposal and this was an easy problem for Bill to fix (would have taken me the whole weekend). Bill seems like a stand up guy and I would trust him with additional plumbing issues that we might have in the future.

This is the second job that Bill Bierman completed in my old center city house in the last 6 weeks. This time it involved removing a broken and leaking soil pipe from a bath tub, making a more direct connection to the main pipe in the basement, and replacing another broken section of the main soil pipe as well. The plumbing that needed fixing was badly done decades ago, and Bill quickly figured out a minimally invasive (and dollar conscious) way of solving multiple problems.

This is the second time I've called on Bill Bierman to deal with plumbing problems, and both times I've been pleased with his competence and professionalism. He has responded quickly, arrived as planned, completed the job, and shown initiative in solving problems of which I hadn't been aware. I will certainly continue to hire him to handle any plumbing needs that come up.

This was a tough job - several other plumbers have tried to fix both issues but failed - Bill did the job quickly and easily. Also, I really like that he used email to quickly respond to me at any requests I had.

Bill is great to work with. He answers all contacts quickly and does the work on the date it is scheduled. He is articulate and skilled. He provided all brass materials/parts as I had requested. The family members that use this tub are very pleased with the outcome. This was the second time that we hired Bill and I would not hesitate to work with him again.

All hail Angie’s List and Bil Bierman/ East Falls Plumbing & Heating! Prior to joining Angie’s I called on a different plumber that I had used in the past for a minor job (cleaning out the main drain), but he kept revising upward the estimate for the job and widening the scale of what needed to be (such as re-doing an entire bathroom that was totally unrelated to the leaking soil pipe). My confidence shaken, I decided to join Angie’s List and start researching a plumber with a track record in older/ historic houses and found Bill Bierman. The job entailed replacing a failed and leaking soil pipe somewhere above the basement level in my three-story, 150+ year-old Center City historic house. I can attest to the accuracy of Bill’s glowing reports on Angie’s list; similarly, the first one I contacted had a pretty damning review already! With the help of a younger assistant, Bill did a fabulous job even though the old cast iron pipe was wedged into an impossibly narrow shaft and cemented in by plumbers in the 1920’s or earlier. He responded immediately to my call and gave a realistic estimate of the job (much lower than the other plumber's). He also anticipated a slightly more difficult plan B version regarding which wall needed to be opened (correctly, as it turned out). Bill is a most accomplished master plumber, none better in Center City Phila, a call I can make with complete assurance. Bill’s estimate was fair and, as some of the other reviews note, communicates plainly and effectively about plumbing, which is a most admirable skill —and you can talk history or literature with him as well!

The master plumber was very knowledgeable. He knew what he was talking about. He was very friendly. I would love to hire him in the future. I explained to him what the type of work I needed to be done however, he wasn't capable of doing the type of work that I needed. He recommended another company that could help me. I appreciate him coming out, but I would have appreciated it more if he had told me that he wasn't capable of doing the work over the phone. His demeanor and overall professionalism was very positive. If I had work to be done that he was capable of doing, he is the person I would contact in the future to get a price and possibly hire. I am just disappointed that this project didn't work out. ***Update*** After some investigation of my plumbing problem, I came to the conclusion that the storm line needed to be replaced. The first person I called was Bill to discuss the problem and give an estimate. Bill recommended another company who are underground plumbing specialist. I hired the company he recommended and they did a great job. Thank you Bill.

I bought an older (maybe 100 yr) home in Powellton Village. I currently live in Tennessee, so was unable to know any contractors or oversee the work in the area. I thought about Angie's list and it proved invaluable!I drove up to Philly to get estimates on the various things I needed to do to bring the house up to standards. Bill was one plumber that i got an estimate from. The plumbing was a mess and done rather sloppily in past. Bill was very realistic about the situation.. don't overspend and try to redo the whole situation, he told me.The house is functioning. He gave me a price for the work that really needed to be redone.This is why I chose him! He is honest and trustworthy, I feel. He could have told me redo it all!!! He also gave me a price on a new high efficiency hot water heater that was considerably better than another bid I got through the HVAC contractor( he was actually recommended for the plumbing by this HVAC guy, also on Angie's list ) Bill gave me a bid very promptly, got to work very quickly and performed it all while i was back in TN ( I left a lockbox on the property) He was very professional, good pricing and reliable.) I would and will use him again! I ended up spending about 3300 all together, with water heater included.

The paperwork involved with the loan was long and involved, but Bill worked with me the entire time and jumped through all the hoops that I asked of him. All of the plumbing work came out very well and quickly once the paperwork was squared away. I would definitely use his services again in the future.

Bill anwered my call very quickly and gave me a written estimate via email. He was prompt, professional, reasonably priced and excellent to deal with. His assistants were also courteous and professional. Bill has been here twice as we called him back for another job almost immediately after the first because we were very satisfied with his work. Whenever I had a question for Bill, I would fire off an email and he would always answer in 24 hours or less.

I did not use him but he was very helpful. He gave me advice on how to avoid spending more money and he was excellent. If I have any plumbing or heating and cooling work that I can?t do myself, he will be the first guy that I call.

Our gas water heater started leaking on a Friday night (of course). We found Bill Bierman on Angie's List, called him first thing Saturday morning. He promptly returned our call and scheduled to come out later in the day after he finished another job. I texted with him a few times over the course of the day to firm things up. He got here exactly when he said he would and did the job quickly with minimal mess. The price was totally fair. We have already arranged for him to come install an automatic thermostat; in fact he left the unit that he recommends with us to look over and make sure that it is acceptable. Overall, A+ for professionalism, accessibility, friendliness, quality of work.

I called the plumber on Monday afternoon. He came to my home on Tuesday to look at the damage and to give me some idea of the cost. He arrived to do the work at the planned time: 9 am on Thursday. He and his assistant were courteous, friendly and neat. The work was done by noon, and I asked him to do another task: turn off the valve for the outside water spigot. He found the valve and because the handle was missing needed to use a wrench. This he did as a courteousy and didn't charge me. The next day he followed through on his intention to email a recommendation for someone to repair the ceiling plaster board. I will gladly call upon this plumber again when I need work done.

Mr. Bierman was available and came out the day after I called. He called ahead to say he'd be there soon and arrived during the timeframe he had indicated over the phone the day before. He and his assistant were polite and professional, did their work without making or leaving a mess. They got the cold radiator to heat up. They seemed very aware of how the hot-water radiator heat system worked and checked the entire system. The total bill seemed very reasonable for showing up and getting the job done as described here. I will definitely call them the next time any work on the heating system is required!

Excellent. Bill was responsive when I needed to diagnose a water leak outside my house and scheduled the repair work promptly. His price was comparable to competitors.' They were professional about their work; I was satisfied. I'd have no hesitation about using East Fall Plumbing and Heating again.

Bill Bierman responded quickly to my phone call and visited my house soon afterwards. He gave me a competitive estimate while he was at my house after looking at my boiler. When I called him back to go ahead with the project, he scheduled me for later that same week. He and his crew came as promised and replaced the boiler in one day, and their work was excellent and professional in all aspects. They even reconnected a radiator I had disconnected (and stopped a small leak in its connecting pipe as a result) for no extra charge.

We called Bill for an estimate after we already obtained an estimate from a "friend of a friend." Bill not only beat the "friend's" price, but gained our trust with his obvious knowledge and expertise. He gave us a few different options, and ultimately we decided to replace our antiquated and corroded boiler with a new, smaller boiler. He came when he said he would, and worked within the parameters of our busy schedule. A++
