The job went super smooth.... Mike and his team taped everything off protecting the bathroom, then sprayed the tub. Looks like new and I was able to use the bath in less than a day.

They did a terrible job, and I'm now paying another company to redo it (3 years later), since the coating has already peeled off (I just joined Angie's List, hence the delayed review!). First of all, they left the hardware on (I knew nothing about the process, and they didn't bother to tell me I should have it removed by a plumber, just working around it when they got there without saying anything about how that would affect their work), so the areas around the drains were all very messily done. There were also several areas that were misshapen somehow -- there was a dented area in the finish on the tub where it looked like they had let a can of something sit, and the sink had big drips/pooled spots around the edges that they clearly either didn't see or didn't care about. They also left plastic and razor blades lying around the bathroom when they left. I called to complain about the poor job and the mess; the first time I spoke to a man, who apologized and said they would come out to fix their mistakes. They never showed up and never called back. I called them numerous times after that and left messages, and they never returned my calls, even when I said I was going to leave them bad reviews for terrible service and report them to the Better Business Bureau. Like I said, it's now just short of 3 years later and I'm already having to get the tub redone, as the finish started peeling within a year of their work. I would never use this company again and would advise others not to use them either.

They were absolutely wonderful. They left detailed instructions on the care of the new sink. They were all delightful. It was a pleasure doing business with them. Some of the scraped glaze did fall to the floor and I had to vacuum and wash the floor twice to get up all the stuff, and we had to sweep up the outside porch to get the glaze off the concrete, but it wasn't bad.
Description of Work: Contractors re glazed an old farmhouse kitchen sink at my mother's house. Mike, who I spoke to originally on the phone called that morning at 9 to see if they could come earlier, because the first person on their schedule had the flu. Two men who were extremely personable showed up at 10 am. The plumber came to the house about 9:50 and was busy trying to get the old plumbing fixture off of the sink, so the re glazing job would be done perfectly. Since the fixture was over 30 years old it didn't come off easily and he was struggling. One of the re glazing men actually asked him if he needed a break and HE picked up the hack saw to help the plumber out! The process was as follows: first they put some chemical down on the sink which made the old glaze peel up. They then scraped off all the old stuff with a razor blade then wiped away all the old glaze then sprayed the sink with a sprayer ( which I think was electric) that had epoxy polyurethane paint. They were careful to tape newspaper to the kitchen cabinets and walls so the paint wouldn't accidentally get onto them.

Unusual circumstances led to an extremely late start, but was understandable. Four hours late, but the work went incredibly fast once John arrived. John was extremely professional, and did an excellent job reglazing my claw foot bathtub. He taped everything off, and nothing was damaged or sprayed. Cleanup afterwards was minimal. Mike who fielded all my phone calls was responsive, and called to update me on the delay. He called me back immediately after I left a message--far more responsive than the other four companies that I had called. I highly recommend East Coast Reglazing.

Phenomenal! The gave me a quote over the phone and were able to schedule when I needed it. The owner (Mike?) heard my 9-month old in the background and made sure to tell me that she had to be out of the house for 24 hours after the reglazing due to the fumes. The only reason I had to wait to schedule the work was because I had to find a couple of days when I could send my daughter to my parents. The day before the job, East Coast called to confirm their arrival. On the day of, the worker call 15 minutes ahead to notify us that he may be 30 minutes late getting to us - and then was not even 10 minutes late. He was very quick and professional and I now have a beautfiul sparkling tub! I would definitely use them again, but I won't have to anytime soon because it's guaranteed for 10 years!
Description of Work: Our bathtub was cracked and peeling. The last time it was glazed was in 2001.

The job was quoted and completed within the same week. The work was done well and the glazing makes the sink look new again. The work staff was apparently split between two jobs and much time was lost while they needed to shuttle between locations. While the time was estimated at 3 hours, it actually took 7 hours from the original start time to the actual completion.
Description of Work: An old kitchen sink was re-glazed. The sink is 75 years old and included two drainboards and a tall backsplash.
