Used them a half-dozen times, and they just weren't thorough. The top of the refrigerator was repeatedly not dusted, under the couch cushions was never touch, items were cleaned around and not moved. The shower was given a lackluster cleaning. They didn't compare to the previous maid service we had, which sadly went out of business because the woman running it found a better employment opportunity. Hopefully the next try will provide more fruitful results.

We had hired them to come clean up a house with light construction dust and some previous dirt left by old tenants. The floors, carpet and bathrooms, where all basically brand new. Some paint spots existed on the flooring. It being a pergo product, a little bit of hand action and they would of come right up. Apparently Dos Funny Frogs doesn't do any hard work. They just like to wipe down surfaces. The windows weren't cleaned, you have to ask them to do that. The only job they did really well was inside the fridge, however the maids were too lazy to clean the top. A huge 1 foot round grease stain was left on it. The owner and office manager called and gave different stories of how they cleaned. They had 4 maids in there for 2 hours, so thats 8 man hours. In a house by their own admission was that bad when they went in. I have no idea what 3 of those maids did for those 2 hours.

Horrible. Only call them if you are starting with a clean house.
Description of Work: This company was horrible to deal with. It was a true nightmare ending in threats from the owner to my assistant. The house they were supposed to clean was left with dirty footprints and bugs on the floors. They don't seem to be up for real cleaning. They seem to only be interested in wiping things down. Beware walls are extra and they don't even scrub them. We paid the extra money they left hand prints and cobwebs everywhere.

We pay $224 for that service and for cleaning windows it would be extra. If there is extraordinary stuff to be done, we discuss it and they charge us accordingly. We continue using them because they know the house and they show up. They are also good and quick and so far so good.

The Dos Funny Frogs team phoned to let me know they were on their way. The four people who came were friendly and professional. They looked over the job, clarified what was needed and got right to work. The owner also popped in to make sure everything was going well. They worked quickly and efficiently and did a great job! We use their service monthly and are very happy after their crew has completed the cleaning of our home. The Dos Funny Frogs website has a tracking page, so knowing when the crew will arrive is very easy. The supervisor always calls to let us know exactly when they are on their way. One of us is home when they are working so we are able to walk through and be sure that everything is the way we like it, and if by some chance something was missed they take care of it right away. All of the crew members are very friendly and professional. It is very easy to contact the office to change a scheduled cleaning date or ask questions, and following every cleaning we receive an email requesting feedback on our latest experience. We have been very impressed with the professionalism of this company and the quality of the service they provide.

This was the second time Dos Funny Frogs came to clean -- the first time was back in June and that was the very first time we ever hired a cleaning service. We were very pleased with the customer service -- the first time they were way behind schedule but we didn't mind because we had up-to-the-minute updates on their whereabouts. They did a really good job with the deep cleaning -- got under our sofa, which desperately needed a wipe out. Plus it was super hot that day and even though we had air conditioning these guys were working up a sweat! The second time was also very good -- job completed in less than an hour. However, an hour an half after they left, I stepped into the bathroom and noticed it was very hot. I touched the radiator and it was on full blast. I immediately ran downstairs and it felt like a sauna in the living / dining room. I checked the thermostat and the needle had been pushed to the end, kicking the heat into high gear!!! I imagine, in their haste, when they were dusting they must have moved it, which was an accident, I know, but still -- very, very careless and dangerous. I had to lower the C/A (which had already been running a lot this summer costing us $$$) and huddle in the coolest part of the house. It eventually cooled off, but we couldn't really work in the kitchen that evening because it was one of the hottest rooms. Again, I know it was an accident but they really should be more careful. I have enjoyed the service very much and would like to continue using them. Considering their attention to customer service, hopefully this incident will be taken seriously and it will not happen again.
Description of Work: Deep cleaning - including ceiling fan in the kitchen and mini blind in one of the bedrooms (that was for extra $$$) for the first time. The second time it was a thorough cleaning of the whole house (except for the basement).

Alex was very responsive and accommodating to my schedule. Once a start date was established, his crew came out (4 total including a supervisor) and did an outstanding job in about an hour & 1/2. What I love is that there is an online tracking system where you can see when the crew is headed to your home. The crew was very friendly, thorough and fast. I have since hired Dos Funny Frogs to a weekly cleaning and have been so pleased! Alex is super responsive via email and/or phone calls. A+ company!!!

We have used Dos Funny Frogs as our monthy cleaning service for 6 months and couldn't be happier! Alex is very easy to get in touch with and is extreamly responsive. We know when the crew is arriving because they call when they are on their way, but we can also see their progress using the Frog Tracker page on the website. The crew of cleaners (usually composed of 4 - 6 people) arrive dressed in matching white coats and they each have a job to complete within our home. To clean our 2,400 sq. foot home takes them less than an hour and a half. When they are done the place looks amazing! We should have started using them sooner.

The crew arrived within in window of time in which they were expected and called before they arrived to let me know that they were on their way. The quality of their work is very high. They are attentive to detail, but also efficient. Everyone I have interacted with is extremely polite and professional. They are sure to ask whether there is anything they missed before they leave. I also appreciate that they follow-up after every service to ask whether there were any concerns. I will definitely be using them again.

It was a good job. Before the crew showed up this time (I think it was the 3rd or 4th time they have been here) I printed out the list of standard services from the website, and made notes on it specific to the rooms and conditions in our house (something I had not done at prior cleanings). This seemed to be a useful tool for both me and the cleaning crew. In past cleanings I had sometimes noticed a day or two later that something had been overlooked, but I think starting the crew out with that list and my notes made things work more smoothly. The crew supervisor Erma was attentive and responsive to the specific items on the list. Including her there were 5 people here cleaning the house, and it took them just a bit less than an hour. This is sooooooooo much better than some of the other situations I have had ... especially the one woman we had here for a few years that would spend 5 hours here ... some of it cleaning and some of it pocketing things she (incorrectly, it turns out) thought we wouldn't miss. A minor issue in the kitchen, where whoever was cleaning there forgot the brush he was using to clean the sink. I think he must have had to move on to another task and forgot the brush while cleaning, because the sink itself was not quite clean. Overall though I was pleased. I called and the crew came back to get the brush; am sure they would have cleaned the sink too but I was on the phone at the time and didn't have time to invite them in. Because of my schedule and the fact that I work from home, it is great to have a professional crew come in and accomplish so much in so little time. It can seem a bit crowded in our small house when folks first arrive in the living room, but I much prefer having five people here for an hour than one person for five hours. Alex (the owner of Dos Funny Frogs) has an effective system and a good group of people working for him. That, when combined with clear communication from the customer, is a recipe for success and satisfaction.
Description of Work: Cleaned a small Philadelphia row house (<1000 sq ft) with 2 bedrooms and two bathrooms. Vacuuming, dusting, cleaning bathrooms and kitchen, changing bed linens, cleaning steps and floors, etc. I have had three or four cleanings from them now.

I rent a 3-story old stone house in Bala that's in need of much repair and can be tricky to clean (cracked paint everywhere, doors that don't always close right, kids leaving their stuff all over the place...) To make it more difficult for the cleaners I have (too many) cats that are kept in separate small groups. The cleaning crew did not have to be told twice to close the doors to keep the cats separated, which is a big plus for me. The cleaning work itself: they were fairly thorough, cleaned what they said they would clean, and left the place looking great in under two hours. The second time they were here they were better about putting things back in their original places, something that has driven me crazy about other cleaners. The major issue I have with Dos Funny Frogs is the difference between the original estimate and the price they are now charging me. They caught my eye on Craigslist and offered the "5th cleaning free" if I signed up for regularly scheduled service - somthing that also appears on their website. After the initial cleaning - which was charged at exactly the estimated cost - they sent an invoice for the next cleaning for $20 more than estimated. After discussing this with the manager later, we agreed that the higher price was fair for the size of my house and the extra work that all the cat hair requires. Fair enough, but I didn't realize until later that they had reneged on the "5th cleaning free" deal and I had unwittingly agreed to it. That was either negligent or unethical. The estimate was also confusing, it had several different pricing plans that appeared to be in conflict - two different prices for the exact same service. Even after two phone calls it still isn't clear, but the upshot is that at first they'd offered the 5th cleaning for free, then at a discount, and then with no discount. According to the manager, they stopped offering the 5th "free" (or discounted) and instead are now averaging the cost of all 5. That still gives me a regular rate that is substantially higher than the original estimate. In addition, when I paid for my first cleaning, the invoice included a 3% "convenience fee" if I used a credit card. I paid by check, but I was still charged the extra 3%. I explicitly told them that I needed that refunded or at least deducted from the next invoice, and they did not do so, although I told them I would take it off the next invoice and did so without any problems (so far). Overall, it's a good cleaning service, their cleaning crews have (so far) had the same team leader each time, and the work is both good and quick. I am disappointed in what I see as inaccurate (if not deceptive) advertising, shaky accounting, and mediocre communication by the management. I do plan to look at comparable services, though.

Our records show that our office talked a few times with you over the phone and explained in details all the charges. As far as we know you fairly agreed to the prices and book nor only the first cleaning, but also scheduled a biweekly service. It is our responsibility to clean your home and ensure approval. However, we are pleased to hear that our crew was able to tackle such a difficult space. Our supervisors are hired to enforce the home owner’s rules, and keep the staff cleaning at a high quality and diligent pace. We are always willing to accommodate to the specific needs of our customers, even if it means serving as pet barriers to ensure peace along the felines. Having said this, your estimate increased due to the condition of your home and the amount of cats you have (7). We are confident that other cleaning services would have charged you a higher price or they would have not returned to your place to perform another service. Our company also tries very hard to achieve an appropriate quality to price ratio. We always stick to our original estimate for the first cleaning, even if we underestimate the total cost. In your particular case this is what happened. We realized that our first estimate was way too low for the size and style of your house, thus resulting in a $20 increase. This was appropriately discussed, and an agreement was formed. We are not sure why you sound a little bit surprised. As for the 5th free cleaning special you found on Craig’s List, you have only had our cleaning crew to your home on two occasions. The 5th cleaning has not taken place yet, thus you have not received your free service. We have not reneged on this offer; it just has not come into play yet. Finally, each of our customers receives an online invoice where they can see all the charges and services. We like transparency. Our invoices do not only clearly estates that there is a 3% convenient fee for credit card use, but it also say: subtract this amount if you are paying with cash or check. You over paid $5.79 and it was credited to your next invoice. At the time we are writing this response to your concerns, we have already provided you with another service. As far as we are concern you are satisfied with the job provided. Our next cleaning service is scheduled in about two weeks. Generally I am pleased with the service. Definitely the owner and staff are always friendly and responsive. While there are a few things that are sometimes overlooked (like cobwebs), when I mention them, usually the matter is taken care of on the next visit. While there was a less satisfactory period that must have been growing pains awhile back, they are back on target as to arrival time and completeness of the work they perform.
Description of Work: I've been using Dos Funny Frogs for every other week complete house cleaning for close to three years. This includes vacuuming and dusting the whole house (we have area rugs on hard wood floors, and lots of frames on the walls), cleaning bathrooms, cleaning kitchen counters and sinks. We never established a set time on Saturdays. I asked him to commit to a specific time, but he had difficulty doing this. As a result, he would email me one or two days prior to the visit and tell me the time his crew could come which would sometimes be inconvenient to my schedule. As a result, I would have to reschedule my service. In turn, he would charge me at a higher rate because it was not his biweekly rate. In fact, one time he attempted to charge me the rate of the initial clean. Very often, I found Alex not to be credible in what he said or did. I'm not sure how he made it to the top of Angie's List. I caution prospective patrons to reconsider his services.
Description of Work: I hired Dos Funnny Frogs back in February to do bi-weekly cleanings in my home. I used them several times, but right from the start, I had concerns regarding the company's ethical standing and quality. During my first conversation with Alex, he told me he would send some references. All of his references were men (which I found to be odd, given the business) and it was all through email. To be honest with you, I think the references may have been bogus. According to Alex, the first visit was going to be a more thorough clean; therefore, it was a more expensive. Several things were missed duriing the initial "deep clean" including the toilet in the master bathroom. Alex agreed to do Saturdays however he was constantly pressuring me to switch to a weekday because he said his staff was tired on the weekends and did not do as good of a job. To be perfectly honest, I never felt comfortable leaving his staff in my home alone. Some of his employees were hard working and appeared honest; however others were very questionable. Additionally, he never sent the same crew to my home. In general, the cleaning service was average. Things were missed and the quality of the work was not always the best.

As seen on Angie’s List, we are an insured, bonded, and licensed company. Our employees go through a selective interviewing process and are managed by a supervisor at all times. Each employee is expected to work hard and in a timely fashion. But according to this customer our employees look questionable. We are very curious to know which fundamental principle she chose to create an opinion on our employees: Their look? Their skin color? Their accent? I am personally appalled that she is questioning my integrity and honesty. This is what this customer told us in one of her emails: “Hi Alex, I got your message. Everything went very well today. The girls did a fabulous job… I would love it if you could send Erma regularly. She is very, very good. Also, as I mentioned to you on Sat. when we spoke, I would like to get an estimate for window cleaning and a fireplace cleaning.” For someone who has this type of comments, I am exceedingly surprise of your overall review. Our references are also carefully selected. References represent long-term customers that are both male and female. The specific references that were sent to this customer contained two male contacts and one female, not all males. In any case, the gender of the reference should not matter, regardless of our type of business. Contrary, to this customer believe, these people were selected because of their duration and level of satisfaction with the company, and no because of their gender. Also, an e-mail address was provided for each of the references, along with a phone number for one. Not only were the e-mails from accredited sources, they also represented customers who would have been more than happy to share their experience with our company, as long as you took the time to contact them. Even if this customer did not trust the list of references that we provided, Angie’s List alone contains 20+ honest reports from “non-bogus” customers. Or are they? We would also like to address the scheduling issue. Our company operates on a Monday through Friday basis, and occasionally works on Saturdays. Our staff works hard during the week, therefore they are not asked to work on the weekends. We would never pressure our customers to switch days, however, the inconsistency of Saturday’s leads us to suggest a different cleaning day. It is hard to ensure a Saturday bi-weekly cleaning when employees are not always present on that day. Although there might be times when we cannot accommodate the date and time of the requested service, we work hard to accommodate to our customer’s schedules. If our customers visit our website they will notice that we do not operate on Saturdays, and that there is an extra charge for Saturday services. These charges were never applied to this customer, who original price was already very affordable compared to those of the competition and to the size of her home. This customer’s lengthy duration with our company (almost four months 01/31/09 to 05/02/09) is surprising based on the comments that were written. Our company engaged in multiple e-mails with the customer where she claimed to be satisfied with the service, making this an unexpected find. We use check-up calls and surveys to address any issues immediately, instead of letting them progress. Any problems the customers were having with the actual cleaning service could have been addressed and resolved as soon as they were brought to the company’s attention, but we need to hear about them first. We are sorry to hear that this customer was unhappy with our credible company, but we hope this helps to clarify some of her accusations. The first time they came the owner came also and talked with me. They said they would work with me on my needs. After they were done I had some concerns about the cleanliness of my home. They didn't do a very good job. They were rushing to get to another job. I called and they came back and did a good job. After a few months, they started to do a bad job again. They were not cleaning properly and leaving piles of dirt on the floor. I paid more for spring cleaning and they didn't do what they said they would do. They said I could get a free cleaning if I gave Angie's list a good report, but instead I fired them after the last cleaning. It ended up being a bad experience.

In this particular case, we provided a free cleaning (something this customer neglected to mention, as an evidence of our well intentions and desire to work with our customers). We knew this was going to be challenging customer from the beginning. On our first meeting, January 2nd, 2009, she told us she has hired 2 others cleaning services and she was not happy with either of them. She even expressed her frustration with the responses she got from her previous cleaning services. We tried our best to accommodate every single request she had during our 4 months of business relationship. Here at Dos Funny Frogs customers come first. We show this by making follow-up calls, and resolving any problems. We would never ask our customers to LIE and give potential customers a false view of the company. We hope our customers are not offended by your comments and let them be the one who judge your words. Negative feedback is often more rewarding than positive because it helps us to fix our weakest spots and improve as a whole. These negative feedback are often time what makes me wake up early in the morning to make sure our business runs smoothly. And as a business owner, they make me stronger. They allow me to find the best solution to prevent the issue from happening again. Overall, they were professional, on time, and cost less than the previous company we had, but they did a much better job. They were very friendly and easy to work with. The supervisor and Alex(the owner)both were really open to feed back and it was a pleasure to work with the whole crew. We have decided to use them on a bi-weekly basis(which by the way he gave us a great price for!).
Description of Work: Dos Funny Frogs came to my 1 bedroom apartment and did a comprehensive cleaning. They did the inside of the fridge, oven, kitchen cabinets, counters. They also did a great job with my bathroom from top to bottom(it smelled really clean)as well with my bedroom and living room. The floors were in really bad shape, but after a second touch, they took care of it right away.
